Hey everyone! With the spooky season arriving it's time to sit back and give your skeleton some fresh air for Anime_IRL's 2021 October game jam!  This game jam keeps the flexibility we tried out in the August jam to get as many games as we can.

We're also bringing back ratings! For this jam anyone who submits a project can rate the others.

The theme is PARALYSIS DEMON! What is your sleep paralysis demon? Is it Neco-Arc or perhaps it's Margaret Thatcher? Whatever your sleep paralysis demon is make it into a wonderful game, be it horror, adventure, comedy, or whatever else you feel like!

IMPORTANT DATES

• October 15th is when the theme will be announced.
• October 22nd is the starting date for the jam at 2PM eastern.
• October 24th is the ending date for the jam at 2PM eastern.

RULES

• No NSFW content - no nudity, hateful visuals, or hateful language.
• The game must be able to run in the browser or on Windows.
• Teams of any size are allowed. However, the larger they are the harder they are to coordinate.
• You do not need to adhere to the theme, it is merely a suggestion. If you have a cool, small game idea and want to execute it despite it not fitting the theme, go ahead!
• You may start work early if you want to. This jam isn't a contest. However, do keep in mind that the core of the jam is intended to take place in the 48 hours and if you have the time you should treat it as such. This is mostly to allow those who cannot work during the weekend the ability to still participate in the jam. 

Unfinished work is highly encouraged, demos are awesome too. Got an old project you dropped but want to try again on? Go ahead! Getting stuff finished is extremely satisfying, so you should try to see them to the end!
