You're watching a film, reading a book, or listening to a podcast, whatever floats your boat really;    a minor character just sticks out to you, you fall in love with the scenery of a location, something   just    really tickles your fancy... Problem is that thing  is only ever given  5 seconds of screen-time because  its   "inconsequential to the narrative and the  heroes  of the story".

As consumers we're often too caught up in the action of a narrative that we leave little time to properly explore some very interesting parts of fictional    worlds we consume. We've all been there at some point or another, that's why  the aim of this content jam is for creators to explore and expose the interesting and forgotten facets of worlds we know and love.

When preparing and ideating your submission you should aim to answer a simple question or explore  an   interesting and specific facet of a chosen world. Write out a prompt to explore and make sure to include the prompt in the finished product. If you don't want to explore a specific world that's okay too, just try to stay true to the premise of this Jam.  Here are some copyright free examples of prompts below you might like to use.

  • How are imperial soldiers trained?
  • What do goblins do for fun?
  • How are droids charged and maintained day to day?
  • What happens to the battlefield after a battle?
  • How many foot soldiers have to die before a mutiny occurs?
  • How tough is life guarding a maximum security space-prison?
  • Whats  life like inside the copyright-free-desert-crawler?
  • How does this tavern always get such exotic food?
  • How many times have these guards had their lives threatened?
  • Where did those pirates get their treasure hoard in the first place?
  • What did it take to construct the fountain of youth?
  • How did this temple even get built? And why are there so many traps?

This is  a  casual    content jam,    any type of  submission is  welcome, this includes but is not limited to:   videogames, analogue games, ttrpgs, resources, art, poetry, prose, drama,  anything at all so long as it fits the prompt.   Just try to have fun, enjoy yourself, and maybe even learn something in the process!
