When the Game Jam officially starts, the theme will be updated here. This year's theme will be announced at the start of July 14th ( 5pm EST, 10pm UK, 7am AUS).

- Games must be submitted by July24th, the end of the game jam.

- You can build a game solo or with a team. If you're on a team, one person is the designated uploader.

- Free and paid assets are allowed! Not all AI tools are free, but please don't turn in non generated games.

Remember, the best submissions will have a chance to gain recognition from industry experts, and have their games showcased to a wide audience. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to be at the forefront of AI-driven game development.

When the jam ends, participants will have 5 days to play and rate other submissions in the jam. These submissions will be rated 1-5 stars based on the following criteria:

- Fun factor:  How fun and enjoyable the game is to play, in terms of the game's replay-ability, challenges and player motivation.

- Creativity: How original and innovative the game's use of AI is as well as the game's concept, storyline, game mechanics.

- Technical Execution: The game's use of AI in terms of implementation as well as responsiveness, and consistency.

- Aesthetics: The game's visuals, audio, feel and how well it ties into AI generated elements of the game.

- Playability: How engaging and enjoyable the game is to play. Looking at factors like the game's controls, pacing, and difficulty.

You're welcome to use any assets you have the legal right to use commercially. It's polite to always credit asset sources in your games. You may use any game engine or programming language you wish to produce your game. There are plenty of AI generative tools available right now but here are some to get you started.

*Remember that these tools are just examples of what you could use. Feel free to research and use any AI tool that you like.

You must provide us with an executable or an online playable version of the game on or before the submission deadline so your game can be evaluated by our game jam Judges. The deadline for submissions is July 24th ( 5pm EST, 10pm UK, 7am AUS).

Remember to create a poster image and write a description of your game: indicate the software used, and the programming language, and remember to explain how your game is played, especially if it is not explained in the game. You need to upload your game to itch.io for scoring to take place.

You will be asked to explain how you used AI in your game to help with judging. You could upload a video, document, or just a short explanation. It's not required but it will help others rate your game highly!
