Where is the Game Jam held? The Game Jam is hosted at AGES, with the option to work from home when you're working on the game. Please note that the introduction and game testing/award ceremony are held at AGES and are mandatory. OBS! This time we also have access to SUGS venue, meaning the entire game jam venue is nearly double it's size. Making it possible for more to participate. 

Date and times? The Game Jam takes place between November 8-10. 

Why did you put a fee on this game jam? It's not sustainable for AGES to run these events for free, as we've lost money on previous game jams. It's 30kr for members and 50kr for non-members.

How do I pay? You pay with card at our venue. 

What do I get as perks now that it costs money? You get:

• A patch and pin included!
• Free coffee, tea and saft during the entire event.
• Free cookies.
• Probably some other cool stuff that SGA gives us
• A better venue, as we can spend money on the things needed.

Do I need to be a student to join? While not everyone needs to be a student, at least one person in your group must be. 

How many people can participate? We have space for 80 people. There are 55 spaces at AGES venue. 

What's the maximum group size? A team should have 1-5 members. Larger groups are not allowed.

Can I join a group if I don't have one? Absolutely! Just tell us in the form and we'll help you find a group. 

Will food be provided? No, sadly not this time

Is there a kiosk available? Yes, AGES has a kiosk offering soda, energy drinks, candy, ice-cream, and frozen food. 

Can I sleep at AGES? No, you'll need to arrange your own sleeping accommodations during the Game Jam. Can we use third-party assets? Yes, it's allowed. 

Can we use AGES computers and monitors? Talk to Max at AGES discord.

Can we bring alcohol/other substances? No, alcohol or other substances are not permitted. 

Can non-participants attend? During the active jamming period, no. However, the game testing and award ceremony are open to everyone. 

What theme will the game jam have? The theme for the Game Jam will be revealed during the introduction. 

Do I need to follow the theme? No, but it's encourage as even one award is for the game that follows the theme the most. 

Will the press come? Maybe? I'm currently in contacs with SLA and SN, so we'll see.

Schedule

Opening of AGES: 16:00 on Friday. Come early if you want a good spot for your group. It's also great for you to start your getting your setup ready.
Introduction Powerpoint: 17:00 on Friday. We will do the introduction with a power point and tell you the theme!
Subbmission: 15:30 on Sunday. Submit your games and get your group over to AGES.
Ending and showoff: 16:00 on Sunday. We will show off our games by then and have our jury play the games. The Jury will play your games for a max of 5 min before going to the next one.
Prize Awards: 18:00 on Sunday. If everything goes as planed (this time we have though this through).
Ending: 19:00 on Sunday. Everything will be done by then.
