🤔What is AfroJam?🤔

AfroJam is an annual game jam created with the intention to promote game development in Black spaces. It is currently unranked and non-competitive. We strongly encourage creatives of all skill levels to participate!

  • Game must be made solely within the time constraints of the jam (use of pre-existing scripts is permitted).
  • Submissions may not contain nudity, explicit sexual content, or distasteful offensive material.
  • Can non-black people work on my game?
    Yes. Just remember that we're here to encourage Black creatives to make Black games. Lets keep them at the forefront.
  • Can I work on my game after the deadline?
    Of course! You must submit you game before the jam ends, but you are more than welcome to revise and complete your game outside of the jam. We don't expect perfectly polished submissions.
