This jam is now over. It ran from 2021-03-03 06:30:00 to 2021-04-23 07:30:00. View results
UPDATE 4: If anyone has a submission to make after the deadline, add a new listing for it to your personal itch.io page, and provide me with a link (itch provides a tool to link games to jams in this manner) - I will then be able to generate a link that will invite you to add your game to the jam page, which you will have to login / accept in order to complete the process.

UPDATE 3: A 4:3 aspect ratio is recommended, and full screen is actively encouraged.
UPDATE 2: Your game should include the capacity to quit without interacting with the operating system window. (e.g. in-game quit UI)
UPDATE: If you would like to showcase your work when we have access to hardware, it is recommended that your game does not strictly depend on the use of an analog joystick (e.g. could reasonably be played using a D-pad)
Make a game (or games, as many as you like!) that could be played with arcade inputs. E.g. Joystick + up to six buttons. This jam is part of a longer-term project to showcase Adelaide-made games to a more general audience at local events - attempts to contact makers and seek permission will be made prior to any showcase.
Have created social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram to feature work if anyone is into that!
The inaugural theme is Light in the Dark!
