Welcome to the only game jam that celebrates the world's most adored rose-themed game developer and YouTube star, Addy Valentine! Never heard of our most iconic host? Don't worry, all sins can be forgiven! You can learn about him here!

What's a better way to spend your Valentine's Day weekend than being tethered to your computer, making games for a random grown man on the internet? Sign me up!

Your Blooming Challenge

You will have THREE DAYS to make a game around our romantic theme: DISTANCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER. To follow the theme you have two objectives:

1. Take an unfinished game project/idea and create a finished, playable version within the three day period.

2. Submit a written history of the game project and what it means to you.

Submission

Once the creation window snaps shut, you'll have an additional day to cast your votes. Winners will emerge based on community rankings and their innovative approach to rule interpretation. The day following the vote, Addy will select and spotlight the top 3 entries on his YouTube channel—just in time for Valentine's Day. KEEP IN MIND THAT ADDY VALENTINE IS AN ENTERTAINMENT CHANNEL AND JOKING ABOUT THE GAMES IS ALL IN GOOD FUN! A grand prize of $14 Bucks (USD) and the coveted Golden Gremlo Award will be given to the 1st place winner.

Rules to Seed Your Creations:

• All entries MUST be SAFE FOR WORK.
• Only one game entry per person/team. 
• All assets including art, music, etc. must be created during the period of this jam.
• No bribing judges or voters.
• Game must be created solely in the allotted period of time.
• Games must be playable on Windows or within the Itch.io web browser.
• Updates or patches post-submission are not allowed.
• Games must not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Submissions must be new creations, not previously published or submitted to other competitions.
• Participants agree to allow the Addy to show their game on his YouTube channel.
• No plagiarism.
• The use of bots, automated scripts, or any other artificial means to generate votes is a forbidden technique.
