This is both open to our students on the BA (Hons) Games Development and Futures degree https://www.acm.ac.uk/courses/higher-education/game-development and Game Development Diploma https://www.acm.ac.uk/courses/further-education/game-development-diploma/ aswell as the public!
In the ACM 2021 Winter Game Jam, you will work individually or in small teams of 1-6 people to develop a game that will be uploaded onto Itch.io for your team’s submission.
Submitted games can be developed in any game engine, supporting software and programming language of choice however the submitted game must be built for Windows.

- When does it start:
- The ACM 2021 Winter Game Jam will start on Monday 13th December and will run until Friday 17th.
- Who can enter:
- This will be open to the public, current and future students at ACM.
- Who judges the submissions:
- ACM Staff, students and the public can all vote on the submissions.
- How do the submissions get judged:
- All submissions are judged on three points Fun, Originality and Presentation.
- Where to communicate with others?
- Can game assets be used?:
- The submissions should be made primarily within the ACM 2021 Winter Game Jam however participants are welcome to use any assets to which they have legal access.
- What is the theme for the game jam?:
- The theme will be revealed on Monday 13th December.
- How do I submit a game?
Additional Rules
- Submitted games must not require additional external software for users to download.
- Submitted games must not require users to need additional hardware.
- Games should be not offensive or contain inappropriate content.
