✍️ Joining the jam

To join, first join the Discord server, if you're not already a server member: discord.gg/rosebud-ai

After joining, you can start working on your submission on your own or find people in the server to form a team.

💰 Prizes

• A special "Unveiling Creativity Winner 🏆" role in the Discord server to showcase your victory.

• All assets used in the game must be generated from PixelVibe AI Gaming Assets or the provided assets pack.
• You and your team members must be Discord server members.
• The game can be developed using any game engine or programming language.
• Participants can work individually or in teams of up to four people.
• The game should be completed within the given time frame.
• Participants must submit their game and a brief comment on what models they used from PixelVibe AI Gaming Assets in their game.
• The submission deadline is Wednesday, August 9 at 11:59 PM PST.
• The judges' decision is final and cannot be disputed.
• Plagiarism will not be tolerated, and any submissions found to be plagiarized will be disqualified.

🤔 FAQ

Q1: What exactly are considered assets in the game jam, and what must be AI-generated?

Answer: In the context of our game jams, assets refer to key elements of your game like character sprites and portraits, icons, and environments (backgrounds). Ideally, these should be AI-generated, as per our 90/10 rule, where 90% of assets are generated by our AI, and 10% can be developer-created.

However, this is more of a guideline than a strict rule. We understand that there might be certain elements that our AI currently cannot generate, and these can be created by the developers.

Q2: What if the AI can’t generate some key elements for my game?

Answer: If there are certain elements or scenes that can’t currently be created by our PixelVibe AI, it’s perfectly fine for you to make them. The goal is to blend our AI with your creativity. The rules are flexible and we’re not nitpicking every asset. Please keep creating and let us see what you’re capable of!

Q3: I’m making a game with numerous assets (like a visual novel or a game with mini-games), and I’m worried about compliance with the rules in regards to small elements of the menu and inventory. What should I do?

Answer:  If certain visual elements like UI or menu boxes are beyond the AI’s capacity at the moment, you’re welcome to create them yourself. However, key assets should be generated with our AI assets generator.

Q4: Where should I send feedback or report what’s missing from the AI model list?

Answer: We highly appreciate your feedback and would love to know what you feel is missing from our model list. Please send your feedback to the pixelvibe-feedback channel in our Discord so that other users can also upvote. Your input helps us improve our AI and makes the game jam experience better for all participants.

Q5: Can I use the promo code without entering my credit card information?

Answer: Yes! You just have to go to our Subscription page, select PRO subscription, and add the code for this jam. As soon as you add a promo code, the fields for credit card info will disappear, and you'll just have to add a billing address. This will give you a free month of unlimited generations without having to enter any card information.

• The game jam will begin on Wednesday, August 2 at 12:00 PM PST.
• The deadline for submission will be on Wednesday, August 9 at 11:59 PM PST.
• Winners will be announced on Monday, August 14 at 12:00 PM PST.
