WELCOME TO THE 2023 72-HOUR MURDEROOY MAYHEM RENPY JAM!

This is a jam meant for the Art Without Blood Discord server, but anyone is allowed to join, whether you're new to making visual novels or a veteran in the space.

Theme: Murderboys. Doesn't matter if it's their first kill or just their latest. If you know their archtype, you've been on weird places on Tumblr. Otherwise, interpret this how you wish.

Subthemes: You may pick at least one of these Richard Siken quotes to somehow put into your game. You can tie it to a visual motif, how you categorize your characters, etc. This is not required!

1. "I’m sorry. We know how it works. The world is no longer mysterious."

RULES

1. Due to the themes and the server running this jam, please be 18 and older.

2. Your game must be made in Ren'py.

3. You cannot work on the game before the jam time.

You may plan your game (concept art, outlines, etc), but no assets may be made before the jam starts.

4. You are allowed to use a character you already own or make one up for the jam.

5. For this run-through, no fangames.

6. No entries made with "AI" assets (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc) will be allowed. Your entry will be deleted.

7. Though this jam is meant for solo developers, teams are encouraged!
