This is your chance to create, learn, and have fun while connecting with a fantastic community of Artist, Devs and other amazing peeps to vibe with as you create something fun.
'The Weight of Choices'
This theme is all about making those tough decisions that can change everything!
If you can only pick one choice, what will be the cost you in the long run?
Will you pick red door or the blue one?
Will you kill an enemy or save your team mate.
Will you bring the gun or food supplies.
Will you romance the coffee drinker, or fight the legion of samurai
Each choice has a cost to it, your game will flesh out your own take on this theme
this is an added challenge you can add onto your project
-if you're making a 2d game, try to limit your colour pallet to no more then 8 colours!
-if you're making a 3d game, try to limit your poly count
enjoy yourself! happy jam'n!
-Games must be developed within the one month time frame, April 2nd-May 1st.
-Post-submission updates and bug fixes are allowed, BUT all changes must be clearly stated on your games Itch page.
-Avoid NSFW content, excessive gore, or violence: this stuff isn't the vibe.
-Have a web build available if possible with your game engine, though this is not mandatory it does make it easier for people to play and test your game
-no Ai art or Ai auto generated games
-Original assets are encouraged! However, premade assets can be used as long as they are credited as such in the game’s description.
-Follow the theme and rules provided.
-Non-compliant games will be removed from the jam.
- Team size cannot be over 25 people on one team: Ideally 1-5 people on one team works best
This jam is not competitive—there are no rankings or prizes. The focus is on personal development and constructive peer feedback. Feedback should consider:
-Parts of the game that you found enjoyable
-Parts you felt slowed the enjoyment
-How well or how poorly the project followed the theme
