Welcome to the 3 Secret Rules Jam, a 72 hour game jam where a new rule will be added every 24 hours.

Theme: Inefficient

Rule 1: Must contain only 3 colours of your choice

A colour of a different shade still counts as another colour.

Rule 2: Must utilize both the left and right buttons of the mouse

You can still utilize the keys on the keyboard though, and the actions for the left and right mouse needs to be different.

Rule 3: Must have a horror mechanic in place

Feel free to have more than one though.

• You can use any engine you want, considering that the game needs to be playable on browser or Windows.
• You can work solo or in teams.
• If you are going to use pre-made assets, please ensure you have the legal rights to use it.
• The majority of the game must be made during the jam period.
• Keep the game clean, no NSFW, offensive, and political content, etc.
• Participants who tries to manipulate the voting system will be disqualified.

The rating period lasts for a week after the jam ends and is open to everyone. Your game will be judged on:

• Overall
• Experience/Enjoyment
• Presentation
• Creativity
• Adherence to theme & rules

Files will be locked during the voting period, but feel free to continue and/or finish the game to your liking after the jam ends.

In this jam, you need to be able to adapt quickly, so that your game fits all three rules (and theme) as much as possible, since the game you made so far might not fit the rules when it is announced later throughout the jam. But wait, what are the rules like? The rules can shape your game in a number of different ways, mechanic-wise and appearance-wise. Examples of the rules would be "the game can only use no more than two keys on a keyboard" and "the game can only use the color red". Does this sound interesting enough yet?
