FAQ
- What existing Assets can I use? - Any public domain art, music, fonts, or any other assets can be used! As long as the License permits it, and its creator is Credited correctly, any assets free or otherwise may be used.
- "But AI is public Domain so" - NO
- I have generic menus/character-controllers/components pre-made. can I use them? Yes! Things like main menus, splash screens, other highly generic things that are essentially plug and play, go ahead
- Do I have to go Solo? Absolutely not! Development is a Team Endeavour at heart
- How big can a team be? - We would recommend 2-3 team members, with 4 being the suggested max
- Do I HAVE to chose a game from the Challenges?
- No! If none of the games listed on the Challenges feel right for you, then choose from the mega list
- Still nothing you fancy? Pick something else you've been meaning to make a clone of! Slay the Spire, Celeste, Vampire Survivors and Hades are popular choices to emulate!
- Can I do more than one game? - Sure! As long as its packaged up into a single entry, go for it. We don't recommend it but you do you!
- May I use other peoples addons? See answer about Assets, pre-made addons such as on the Unity or Godot asset libs are able to be used!
- Are there any prizes? No, top marks are for bragging points only. Winner might get a Discord role or something!

Accessibility
We believe that accessibility in video games is an important component to creating a great game. Here's a great article on why accessibility matters. We encourage teams to use the Godot Wild Jams Accessibility Guidelines Basic List and check off features as they develop their game. You can view the full accessibility guidelines here.
AI Generated Content
The 20 Games Challenge as a whole is about encouraging creativity, self-learning, education and pushing your own boundaries. While some members of the 20 Games community have used AI Generated Content to great effect, within their job or to supplement areas outside their speciality, AI Generated Content as a whole goes against the overall goal. The ethics of the way the training data is harvested and stolen from artists, the bonkers water and electricity cost or the knock-on effects of electronics costs are just some of the considerations taken.
AI Generated Content of all kinds is BANNED from the 20 Games Challenge Jam
- Images, Videos, Text, Music, any possible content is included within this
- This also includes Code. Turn those Co-pilots off
- If there is a gap in your skillset we highly encourage cooperation and teaming up
