Hello and welcome to the DOOM game jam! This is a game jam where the games must feel like the 1993 game DOOM. The game does not necessarily have to play like the original(as in the 1st person shooter experience it is), and can instead be a... dating sim for example.

The jam will go on for excactly a month, going from the 1st of November to the 1st of December. Keep in mind though that you can submit the game before the deadline at anytime.

-Voting is based on a couple of things:
1. Fun and uniqueness: Was the game fun to play and how unique was it?
2. Feel: Does it feel like 1993 DOOM? Remember, doesnt have to be a FPS game.
3. Music: Was the music good, and did it use the doom soundfont(or some similar sounding instruments)?
4. Graphics: Does the art look like it could be from DOOM?

-Requirements:
1. It must use the DOOM soundfont or something similar sounding for the music(.sf2 file here from archive org: https://archive.org/download/SC55EmperorGrieferus). If you cant make music, you can get someone else to make some, or use premade music(so long as you have permission to use it). It doesnt need to be intense, so long as it uses the soundfont or similar instruments.

2. It must look like DOOM(this means it has to be 2.5d, semi-realistic pixel art and *preferrably* have a resolution of 320x240).

3. Thats it! The game can be basically anything so long as these 2 requirements are met.

-Rules:
You can have a team of any size or do it solo, you can use assets you found so long as you have permission and give credit, the game must be made in the timespan of the jam.

-Prize:
There is no prize(atleast yet), but maybe later in the future if the jam is succesful.
