Are you just starting out with game development or already an experienced game developer? Do you have trouble finishing your games? Are you looking for a game jam to motivate you to finally finish something? Are you willing to follow a certain theme, in order to find inspiration and maybe try something else you wouldn't normally consider? Then this game jam is for you! Try to complete a game in 10 days. Hopefully at the end of the game jam you will have something playable you can be proud of!
As the 11th game jam of this kind, there will be some special rules to mix this up a bit. For this particular one, you will have two themes.
This game jam will have two themes and you will be asked to combine them into one game. You will choose 2 Themes out of the previous 10 game jams:
1 - Metropolis
2 - Star
3 - Ascension
4 - Bridge
5 - Zodiac
6 - Spear
7 - Australia
8 - Cat
9 - Wizard
10 - Food
- Your game must in some way incorporate the two themes of this game jam (two themes chosen by you from the list).
- You can only start working on your game after the submission period starts.
- There's no restriction on the Engine, Libraries or Framework you can use to develop your game. Feel free to use Godot, Unity, Unreal Engine, Game Maker Studio, Construct, Pixel Game Maker, Adventure Game Studio, RPG Maker or anything else you want.
- You can use premade assets, so long as you have the rights/license to use them, abide by their Terms of Use and give credit.
- You can work solo or in a team, it's up to you.
- No NSFW content.
- Abide by itch.io's Terms of Service.
- There will be a 10 days long voting period after the game jam ends. You can rate the games based on 6 criteria: Gameplay, Visuals, Audio, Creativity, Narrative and Theme.
- Upon submitting your game, you will be asked to write atleast one sentence about how your game fits the game jam theme.
- As a suggestion, consider also uploading a browser version of your game if you are able to do so. It's not a requirement, you don't have to do it, but it will most likely increase the number of people who will play your game.
