Welcome to Weekly Game Jam #2! This week’s theme is Recursion. The idea of something referring to, repeating, or recreating itself can lead to clever mechanics, mind-bending puzzles, or elegant systems. Keep it simple and let repetition do the heavy lifting.

πŸ“… Jam Dates
Start Date: 30th January 2026
End Date: 2nd February 2026

πŸ•ΉοΈ Theme: Recursion
Recursion is all about things within things or systems that repeat themselves. This could be literal (levels inside levels, rooms inside rooms) or mechanical (actions that trigger the same action again). The theme can be technical, visual, or conceptual.

Ideas to Inspire You:

  • A level that contains smaller versions of itself

  • A puzzle where solving it creates the same puzzle again

  • A character that can enter copies of previous areas

  • A game inside a game

  • Actions that repeat with slight changes each time
