Welcome to Mona's highly anticipated first buildathon of 2024! We invite you to unleash your creativity in this exciting 6-week challenge (January 17th to March 3rd). This buildathon focuses on the 3D modeling, where the participant’s mission is to craft an innovative collection of assets. This buildathon is a perfect platform to showcase your skills in crafting and optimizing 3D assets. Are you ready to embark on this creative journey and compete for the bounty!

The purpose is to create a bank of modular assets that users can utilize to create their spaces and future games on Mona.

THE JAM!

TL:DR:

Modular Objects: Think paths, rocks, simple props – Must be a set of 15 or more.
Furniture/Props Objects: think sofas, bookshelves, chandeliers, lamp posts, mailboxes, etc. – Must be a set of 10 or more.
Center Piece Objects: These are your show-stoppers! Must be 1-3 or more objects.

Create asset packs in the following categories!

Technical / Asset specifications:

You might typically see 1-3 center piece objects per scene, ~50-100 medium objects per scene, ~500+ small objects per scene.

Modular Objects (15+ objects) - optimized thematic objects that make up a larger environment (the asset pack that has components that enable builders to create an environment).
- For example these could be:
  - Interior & Exterior Designs (i.e. doors, windows, stairs, walls, ceilings, sign posts, etc.)
  - Repeating Set pieces (i.e. walls, rocks, fences, roads, etc.)
  - Parts of buildings (i.e. walls with windows, doors, tops of walls of castles, window sills, etc.)
Furniture/Props Objects (10+ objects) - group of optimized thematic objects that define an environment and/or decorate a space.
- For example these could be:
  - Ovens, tables, etc.
  - Broken down objects (i.e. a disheveled wall/bookcase etc.)
  - points of interest pieces (i.e. signposts, billboards, small fountains, etc.)
Center Piece Objects (1-3+ objects) - the optimized center pieces of an environment, usually a big visual impact for an environment.
- Art Pieces
- Hero Objects (i.e. sculptures, fountains, etc.)
