My Cozy Void Devlog 33

After all that googling I wasnt done just yet. I wanted to work a bit on the Skills menu. But for that I needed to know some things about the battle system. Oh no. I havent put a whole lot of time into the battle system yet cause its a mostly unknown area for me. Ive been working on making it look good but dear lord this is difficult for me hehe. Thats also mostly the reason I dont have all to much to show this time around. This battle system is more difficult then I thought.

So I use a grit base battle system with a turn base format. (Cause I love turn base battles). The first problem I came in was the grit itself. It wasnt looking good but that was mostly a easily fixable issue. I just needed to draw the ftit on the battle back. But the battle back was zoomed in. I didnt know why but I had wrote it off before. But that was before I changed the size of the window of my game. I didnt know how to draw the battle back anymore. That was untill I saw that the battle core Im using had an option to not zome in. So lil side issue done it did take me alot of time to get the placing of the grit. But that was an easy fix. Just some time. The first issue that ive ran into that I havent fixed yet was with the damage pop ups. My font is decently bigger then most fonts. Now I got the issue that the damage numbers are clipping out at the top. The point is is that I can see that the font is expanded. Ist alot longer then usual. So I looked for a damage pop up plugin and fount one. The problem is that for some reason I still dont know is that the pop up plugin and the battle core plugin I have are fighting against ech other and I dont know why. Without the battle core the pop up plugin is working wonders.

The problem is that is once both of them are on the damage numbers say NAN which means “Not A Number”. I got no clue why tho. The pop up plugin isnt doing anything with the damage calc as far as I know. Ive got a few options but unless I know what is happening and see if its fixable I dont think I can use the pop up plugin. So yea. Fun week
