Are you ready to showcase your game development skills and compete for exciting prizes? We are thrilled to present the 1st BIGA Arcade Game Jam, co-hosted with  Game Developer Studio & Kronnect & ABC Studio

Join us for a chance to win the GRAND PRIZE of $3000 as well as have your game featured in our arcade with ongoing royalties + 1 FREE asset from Kronnect (excluding bundle) +   voucher from ABC Studio containing ability combat toolkits entire collection.

The second-place winner will earn $1250  + 1 FREE asset from Kronnect (excluding bundle) +  voucher from ABC Studio containing ability combat toolkits entire collection.

The third-place winner will receive $500  + 1 FREE asset from Kronnect (excluding bundle) +  voucher from ABC Studio containing ability combat toolkits entire collection.

Hidden Gem spot prize will receive: $250 + 1 FREE asset from Kronnect (excluding bundle) +  voucher from ABC Studio  containing ability combat toolkits entire collection.

Duration: The game jam will run for five action-packed days, starting on Wed 30th August 2023 2pm UTC and completes Tuesday 5th September 2023 2pm UTC.

Who Is BIGA Arcade?: At BIGA, we are pioneers in the world of Web Based Digital Arcades, redefining how gamers and game developers connect and thrive. Our mission is to create a dynamic ecosystem where gamers can turn their passion for gaming into a rewarding income stream, while providing unparalleled opportunities for Game Developers and Studios to showcase their creations and earn royalties like never before.

Base Requirements: To get started, incorporate at least one asset from Game Developer Studio into your game. Remember to purchase and own the license for the asset you use or choose one of the FREE assets provided by Game Developer Studio.

Your game must be playable in a Web Browser and deployed to WebGL. To ensure an optimal gaming experience, we advise keeping your game's size below 200MB.

Every game submitted to the contest must include a user-friendly menu. This menu should not only allow players to dive into the heart of the action but also provide easy access to control settings, giving players the flexibility they need to enjoy the game their way. Additionally, we want to see sound as an integral part of the gaming experience, so make sure to add some audio magic to captivate players and enhance their immersion.

Rules:  We understand the importance of creative freedom, but to ensure a level playing field and maintain the excitement of the Game Jam, we will be setting some parameters for game development. These parameters will be revealed 24 hours prior to the start of the GameJam, and we'll announce them on both our Twitter and Discord. UPDATE THIS HAS BEEN POSTED TO OUR CHANNELS!

We strongly advise all contestants to follow us on these channels in advance so you stay informed and don't miss out on these crucial requirements. By doing so, you can adequately prepare yourselves and ensure your game development aligns with the announced parameters.

Rest assured, these parameters are designed to spark your creativity further and push you to come up with unique and innovative ideas within the defined scope. 

Assets: You have the freedom to use existing assets you've designed or purchased, including at least one asset from Game Developer Studio.

Teamwork: You can choose to participate individually or collaborate with a team. The choice is yours!

Submission: Once your masterpiece is complete, upload your game to itch.io as a private submission before the game jam concludes. Be sure to send us a message with the link to your game, so we can review it.

Judging Criteria: Games will be evaluated based on various criteria, including Gameplay, Design, Stickiness, Fun, Storyline. We will be announcing a certain twists 24hrs prior that must be followed to be considered.

Voting: Our expert panel, consisting of BIGA team members and representatives from Game Developer Studio, will judge the games and select the winners. Winners will be announced within 30 days of BIGA Game Jam.

Technical Support: If you encounter any issues during the game submission process, our dedicated team is here to assist you. Reach out to us on Discord, and we'll provide the necessary support.

Ownership: We want to emphasise that your game belongs to you. Both BIGA and Game Developer Studio respect your ownership rights and do not claim any ownership over your creation.
