Hey! I played the game and geez!! It certainly is the most romantic entry I have played so far from the otome jam. The game fully explores the concept of soulmates and of the "red string of love" in such a poetic fashion. Van's ability and the MC's synesthesia contributed to the poetry of the game: if anything, love expresses itself not only in our hearts, but in our senses. As someone hypersensitive, I really appreciated that!
Also, the fact that they would find each other and long for each other every lifetime was wonderful. Maybe there is something sad in pre-destination, but it was here tackled so gracefully that it felt extremely romantic, and it reminded me and, as a sucker for romantic stories, it was amazing. I felt like I was falling in love with Van myself everytime I played (which isn't an easy thing to do considering I don't usually self-insert in VNs), even during the second lifetime which isn't usually my cup of tea (not a huge fan of tsunderes)... But here, the team made it work like a charm.
Of course, special mentions to the art which was gorgeous, to the voice acting which, well, it is Max, so I'm not surprised it's excellent, but still worth underlining it, the music was perfect for this game and fitted Van and his relationship with MC perfectly, the GUI was AMAZING and I really liked the slight variations brought to the textbox for some scenes or CGs.
So, congrats to everyone involved, it was a stellar and hopelessly romantic entry I truly enjoyed!
P.S.: I was NOT expecting a mention of Raku in this game!! For God's sake, don't tell me HE, of all people, is my soulmate in every lifetime, I'd scream! (On a more serious note, the references to other entries were a cute nod: I caught Burning Red, Karamu and Keyframes and wondered if there were more?)

I tried to avoid as many spoilers as possible so I could go in blind so when the first chapter ended I was like :)) what a lovely game and THEN THE NEXT CHAPTER STARTED AND I SCREAMED LMAO I love this game so much!!! The writing is so wonderful and all of the visuals, music & voice acting are incredibly well done! The overarching story is so lovely, there were so many times I just sat and screamed out loud bc it was so cute (esp when it would hint at things from other lifetimes) hahaha kicking my legs giggling screaming tysm for making such a wonderful game, what an incredible team!! I hope you are all very proud of what you have made ;v; <3

Hehe just met photographer Van, now it's rival co-worker Van XD I really appreciate the effects of the whisper VA and the lovely purple UI aesthetic. Think maybe a bit of colour grading with the photo BGs would make the colours go together so well! Also thought the regular voiceovers were a bit fast, but maybe he's just a speedy talker hehe Can't wait to unlock more replay Vans!
Ahh I really like the quotes at the end and the painting + Van's creativity being shown in different replays! <3 I love the concept and how everything came together. Van named "Handsome stranger" one made me laugh and smile. I like his beauty marks too hehe
Only thing is wish the player character had more interests and creative pursuits of their own too, but I do appreciate the one where she lived her best life and thought back to him!
very true with the color grading---with everything else i had to get done/time constraints of the jam, i simply didn't have Time for more custom/edited BGs. but def something i can keep in mind for the future! <3
and yes we definitely took a self-insert mc route for the game, though it was moreso to let players feel like they could be van's soulmate no matter their personal interests/ pursuits. but i do completely understand the desire to want a more fleshed out mc!! glad you liked other components of the game though! thank you again for the comments ^^

Yet another fictional man for me to be madly madly in love with. Love this so much! I did get all 6 CG's and, seriously, this art is fucking gorgeous. OST also fantastic, but I've loved everything I've heard from FaeField so not surprising. Oh, and the VA- yes, just so much yes.

Ugh. this game is phenomenal. I just finished my first playthrough and discovered i am missing 2 of the cgs. I'm going to play again and attempt to try to get them all! I have many comments, lots of them the usual; The visuals are stunning, the music is to die for, and the plot brings me so much joy, I played through it three times just to hear the VA and see the scenery.
But really my biggest joy was that it wasn't overwrought - Van was just Van, in every life. No old-timey Van, no oddly futuristic Van. Just.... Van. It felt a lot deeper without the stereotypical trappings to signal significant time passing. I definitely expected him to be more stubborn about getting together, but then, he knew better, I guess.
omg so many replays!!! so honored you liked it enough to play it that many times ^^ and yes i did tinker around with the idea of different eras and visuals for each lifetime but decided to go for a more grounded approach (partly bc of scope limitations tbh LOL) but i’m glad it still felt appealing in that way <3 definitely adds to the comfy vibes
as your soulmate i think he’ll always choose you eventually, though if you want to imagine it being a bit more of a struggle and stubborn, that’s always fair game for you to headcanon haha!

This was so romantic and lovely! I adore the concept of soulmates tbh and this was such a beautiful exploration. I can't help but want to see more of their lifetimes, like the one in the dream at the beginning. The first "loop" might be my favourite, but I adored the bickering in the second and of course the conclusion. the progression actually reminded me a lil of my own game adjskgh

There was a time on the game where it said: "You know" and the song "Intertwined Hearts" started saying "You know" too, I almost felt like the own characters: "Coincidence or fate?" <3

The whole concept, UI (I love that sneaky red string that we have to click on lol), VAN <3, and the entire team (<3333) have my heart and made my day!! I finished this game the same day it was released and have not been able to get it out of my mind.
I've felt so many emotions within the span of the 1-2 hours that I've played (and I've also replayed it just because <33) but I can't express the amount of joy, bittersweetness, and warmth that fills my chest. And I felt so completely hollow and sad that it was over by the time I finished (in a good way!! I immediately went to YouTube just to listen to the soundtracks just to bask in the aftermath of it all. And I maaaay have replayed it. More than once).
I'll just probably be regurgitating the same thing if I keep writing, but seriously, thank you so much for bringing this to life. Everything is just so gorgeous, romantic and hopeful. Guess I'll just have to keep being a hopeless romantic a little while longer <3

BEAUTIFULLY made game. Amazing writing, only COMPLETELY improved with the AMAZING voice acting. Had me feeling genuine feelings at moments, and that's a feat hard to achieve as an artist of any sort.
Now that's we're into spoiler category, some of the voice acted lines has me GIDDY. SCREAMING internally, even. Amazing voice acting work, maybe even inspiring as someone who hoped to maybe be a VA one day. Have to say, the whole mechanic of the menu screen had me confused the first time, I actually thought the game was over by the end of the first chapter; thank god I checked the comments!

This was such a wonderfully romantic game! What a fun take on the concept of soul mates. Finding the one you are meant to be with for several lifetimes, it was well written. I was a little confused at first when the first chapter ended and the second began in a different setting. Then, I realized the story is told throughout different lifetimes. How interesting! Such a fun game!

Hey there!! I was just wondering, maybe it's because I'm trying to play from Linux Mint, but it seems like i can only play until the meteor shower part and after that the game just restarts. Is that supposed to happen? or am I doing something wrong?
hi! that is supposed to happen but the game isn’t finished yet (you will know it’s finished because a “fin.” screen will show up!). when you return to the main menu, you should see an animation that hints to a new interactive feature. i would suggest clicking it and seeing where the story takes you from there! <3

hi! i might consider making a web version of the game since a couple people have been sad they aren't able to play intertwine in its current build. i dont' want to promise anything right now, mainly because i do have other priorities outside of intertwine (and this was initially meant to be a "one and done" kinda deal due to otojam) but i can look into it!
the web version build may not be optimized the same way the downloadable version is, but it would at least be a way to play the game in some form if thats okay <3
hello again! i made a web version of the game last night and just uploaded it to the game page. again, quality of life might be a little lower compared to the downloadable version (e.g., lagging, etc.), but it should be playable at the very least. happy playing! <3

art is so freaking pretty, the GUI is really pretty and very well thought out; the text system is to die for, sfx are beautifully combined with clever code bits and images popping up, and the story is just so incredibly sweet.
the writing is (as always tbh) really solid and consistent. i love tropes done well and this was exactly that :) And Max's voice is to die for. what a fantastic casting for Van!!

I don't usually post comments on here but I really liked this game so i thought I could give it a shot-. It was absolutely what I needed to play today haha I got invested in it quickly, the artstyle for the sprites was absolutely beautiful and the writing was immaculate as well. This game feels like sitting down in your beloved armchair after a long day and finally drinking your favourite tea- really comforting I mean lol. The only regret I have is that it's not longer! Loved Van's character and enjoyed his and MC's banter in that 'enemies to lovers' trope (can't deny that it's my favourite). Anyways great job on this one! It'll stay on my mind for a while for sure-

Everyone who worked on this did a great job. Loved the OST, loved the art, loved the dialogue between MC/Van. The storytelling mechanic was unique and engaging too -- making the menu interaction a part of continuing the story is *chefs kiss*. Banger all around

Only thing is wish the player character had more interests and creative pursuits of their own too, but I do appreciate the one where she lived her best life and thought back to him!

very true with the color grading---with everything else i had to get done/time constraints of the jam, i simply didn't have Time for more custom/edited BGs. but def something i can keep in mind for the future! <3
and yes we definitely took a self-insert mc route for the game, though it was moreso to let players feel like they could be van's soulmate no matter their personal interests/ pursuits. but i do completely understand the desire to want a more fleshed out mc!! glad you liked other components of the game though! thank you again for the comments ^^

Yet another fictional man for me to be madly madly in love with. Love this so much! I did get all 6 CG's and, seriously, this art is fucking gorgeous. OST also fantastic, but I've loved everything I've heard from FaeField so not surprising. Oh, and the VA- yes, just so much yes.

Ugh. this game is phenomenal. I just finished my first playthrough and discovered i am missing 2 of the cgs. I'm going to play again and attempt to try to get them all! I have many comments, lots of them the usual; The visuals are stunning, the music is to die for, and the plot brings me so much joy, I played through it three times just to hear the VA and see the scenery.
But really my biggest joy was that it wasn't overwrought - Van was just Van, in every life. No old-timey Van, no oddly futuristic Van. Just.... Van. It felt a lot deeper without the stereotypical trappings to signal significant time passing. I definitely expected him to be more stubborn about getting together, but then, he knew better, I guess.

as your soulmate i think he’ll always choose you eventually, though if you want to imagine it being a bit more of a struggle and stubborn, that’s always fair game for you to headcanon haha!

This was so romantic and lovely! I adore the concept of soulmates tbh and this was such a beautiful exploration. I can't help but want to see more of their lifetimes, like the one in the dream at the beginning. The first "loop" might be my favourite, but I adored the bickering in the second and of course the conclusion.

The whole concept, UI (I love that sneaky red string that we have to click on lol), VAN <3, and the entire team (<3333) have my heart and made my day!! I finished this game the same day it was released and have not been able to get it out of my mind.
I've felt so many emotions within the span of the 1-2 hours that I've played (and I've also replayed it just because <33) but I can't express the amount of joy, bittersweetness, and warmth that fills my chest. And I felt so completely hollow and sad that it was over by the time I finished (in a good way!! I immediately went to YouTube just to listen to the soundtracks just to bask in the aftermath of it all. And I maaaay have replayed it. More than once).
I'll just probably be regurgitating the same thing if I keep writing, but seriously, thank you so much for bringing this to life. Everything is just so gorgeous, romantic and hopeful. Guess I'll just have to keep being a hopeless romantic a little while longer <3

BEAUTIFULLY made game. Amazing writing, only COMPLETELY improved with the AMAZING voice acting. Had me feeling genuine feelings at moments, and that's a feat hard to achieve as an artist of any sort.
Now that's we're into spoiler category, some of the voice acted lines has me GIDDY. SCREAMING internally, even. Amazing voice acting work, maybe even inspiring as someone who hoped to maybe be a VA one day. Have to say, the whole mechanic of the menu screen had me confused the first time, I actually thought the game was over by the end of the first chapter; thank god I checked the comments!

This was such a wonderfully romantic game! What a fun take on the concept of soul mates. Finding the one you are meant to be with for several lifetimes, it was well written. I was a little confused at first when the first chapter ended and the second began in a different setting. Then, I realized the story is told throughout different lifetimes. How interesting! Such a fun game!

Hey there!! I was just wondering, maybe it's because I'm trying to play from Linux Mint, but it seems like i can only play until the meteor shower part and after that the game just restarts. Is that supposed to happen? or am I doing something wrong?
hi! that is supposed to happen but the game isn’t finished yet (you will know it’s finished because a “fin.” screen will show up!). when you return to the main menu, you should see an animation that hints to a new interactive feature. i would suggest clicking it and seeing where the story takes you from there! <3

hi! i might consider making a web version of the game since a couple people have been sad they aren't able to play intertwine in its current build. i dont' want to promise anything right now, mainly because i do have other priorities outside of intertwine (and this was initially meant to be a "one and done" kinda deal due to otojam) but i can look into it!
the web version build may not be optimized the same way the downloadable version is, but it would at least be a way to play the game in some form if thats okay <3
hello again! i made a web version of the game last night and just uploaded it to the game page. again, quality of life might be a little lower compared to the downloadable version (e.g., lagging, etc.), but it should be playable at the very least. happy playing! <3

gorgeous gorgeous game polished to the nines.
art is so freaking pretty, the GUI is really pretty and very well thought out; the text system is to die for, sfx are beautifully combined with clever code bits and images popping up, and the story is just so incredibly sweet.
the writing is (as always tbh) really solid and consistent. i love tropes done well and this was exactly that :) And Max's voice is to die for. what a fantastic casting for Van!!

I don't usually post comments on here but I really liked this game so i thought I could give it a shot-. It was absolutely what I needed to play today haha I got invested in it quickly, the artstyle for the sprites was absolutely beautiful and the writing was immaculate as well. This game feels like sitting down in your beloved armchair after a long day and finally drinking your favourite tea- really comforting I mean lol. The only regret I have is that it's not longer! Loved Van's character and enjoyed his and MC's banter in that 'enemies to lovers' trope (can't deny that it's my favourite). Anyways great job on this one! It'll stay on my mind for a while for sure-

Everyone who worked on this did a great job. Loved the OST, loved the art, loved the dialogue between MC/Van. The storytelling mechanic was unique and engaging too -- making the menu interaction a part of continuing the story is *chefs kiss*. Banger all around
