Ho ho anyone interested in antiquities? Good prices

False memory dorian fight won't start, despite having defeated all 12 false memories, finished all contracts and defeated Alexandria, theater of inevitibility is open, simple delivery is completed and I'm using dawnbringer. One issue might be that dorian was defeated in act 5? Do you know what could it be?

im not sure. I think u can speak to false memory 12 in that boss room to get the dorian fight to appear for now.

Worked!

it was unintentional, but Im glad my blunder has an easy work around! 🫠

But more importantly, focus on healing to prevent worse injuries brother, health should always come first

Of course. I'm not killing myself, but I can't be unproductive either.

I am just a concerned fan of one of the best games I ever saw. So yeah, have a nice week

And one of the best creators.

Thanks so much for the well wishes!

In the 3rd chapter, Mila  should go in her training ark.She could try to reduce the force of the hunters, in order to draw out her family's enemy. Sorry, I forgot her name

(1 edit)

The walkthrough has a typo of some kind, at the end of contract 11 it says

Then, you can go to the Pot of Fallholt. There you can find a lycanthrope with silver hair named Erin who will give you a Silver Ore for speaking to her.

but there doesn’t seem to be any lycanthropes with silver hair in Fallholt.

I misspelled port in the guide, however there is an NPC that appears there, after you have completed contract 11. She is standing right by where you go to enter the ship.

I didn’t think to check the port, thanks!

This is a pretty good RPG Maker game - the combat is solid if a little easy late game, and the map design is good especially in the final dungeon. The custom art is excellent and plentiful, the story is reasonably well-written from a technical standpoint, and it's very polished and generally free of major bugs or typos. Overall a pretty enjoyable RPG if you like or can set aside the tone.

That said, the tone's a pretty big thing to set aside, especially since it's an Eroge that chooses to emphasize and occasionally revel in its dark moments rather than handwaving them. The story overall is pretty dark but not (usually) unbearably so, and there are plenty of lighter or more hopeful moments too, especially in the mid-to-late game, which gives the impression that it's leading towards an "earn your happy ending" moment. Unfortunately the final dungeon doesn't deliver on this, whiplashing back so hard it actually surpasses the second chapter's already very dark tone and ends way too abruptly with little-to-no payoff for anything other than the immediate conflict.

The whole point of the true route is the protagonist putting aside her selfish desires to get bad-ended to focus on saving people, but whether you can actually do so in any given case is also wildly inconsistent - I don't want to get into spoilery specifics on the game's main page though, maybe I'll use the email mentioned in the credits. With little indication as to which events or contracts your actions can actually matter in, I often found myself more annoyed with a decision or event I found stupid because in a different (better) contract or sidequest I might have actually had a choice instead of getting railroaded.

Thankfully, the game's still in development, although the focus is currently on fleshing out the vampire route, so I have hope that the ending may eventually get expanded and that some of the plot and tone inconsistencies can get smoothed out. Even with these issues, it's still one of the best overall RPG Maker games I've played, and one of the few long-running RPG Maker TF games that's actually finished its main story which is a feat worth congratulating.

Very fair review. Thank you for playing the game all the way through!

(+1)

Has anyone else run into a bug  if they pick up the first contract because I was trying to restart the game and I can't get past the first contract

(+1)

What platform are you running the game on? Also, have you imported your save from an earlier version?

(+1)

im running it on my hp  chromebook and I've never had a problem with it   and no I'm not using important saves from the earlier versions  i started it from scratch and got that

(+1)

I’ve had a few players on chromebook having similar issues. Im not terribly familiar with the hardware, but there seems to be a conflict in the computer’s settings that causes that to happen.

(+1)

I hope vampire route finishes quickly I can't wait to play it

it’ll be a while before it’s finished.

First time commenting here, and I just want to say, this game is so amazing, especially with the ending. I played this game in version 5.0.1 and finally played version 5.1.1 and I am so amazed with the storyline up to this point. I just wish to play this game from the start again, but knowing the story already, I might get bored, even if I can just wait and play more content of the Vampire Route, I just want to play the whole game again. Still, thank you for making this game, and your art style is spot on.

Thank you!

(+1)

Is it fxf content only?

(+1)

No.

There are certain times where you encounter fxm, but it's VERY few and far between that it's almost negligible.

Hello MKRU congratulations on the project it was very beautiful and with an incredible depth that causes endless nostalgia! I would like to know where to purchase the Leaping Anklet? I already looked all over the Floating Castle and couldn't find it, and another question I have is whether there will be a Developer Room in the Free Version in the future! That's all but really I'd be happy if you could help me find the Leaping Anklet as I'm stuck in the game without that bouncy sandal.

(+1)

You can check out the location of the leaping anklet in depth by looking at the walkthrough.

I'm kidding I know you're in the arena I was just seeing if you'd get mad at such a stupid question'' apparently not right hahaha and don't worry I keep supporting the patrons including yours.

Dude, I have something. What if vampire Mila will eventually meet her sister Ashe. In the vampire hunter route it was a heartbreak, but in the vampire it should be possible, that way the story will somehow become full circle.

(+1)

*Spoilers*

There is legit no way I spoiled that, I don't know how the plot will come to be.But in case if I did spoil news blame my instinct for being this good

(2 edits)

Out of curiousity, is there a way to become a vampire with amber for a story quest, like the other vampire quest

Edit: I am asking because I don't like it when characters die when you can save them, amber becoming a ghoul was a big part of why i stopped playing the game for a bit

There is not, unfortunately.

will there be 🥺

No plans for it, sorry.

I feel your pain dude.

(1 edit)

I kinda think this would be interesting, but why don't we have a new vampire campaign with amber and Mila working together, hundreds of years after the events of the game. As a chapter 6 maybe, where vampires have (mostly) died out, and they are bringing it back?

This might not work by the fact of how amber behaves, but the idea is there.

Edit, the deleted post was a duplicated message

(1 edit)

Yeah, the whole "let's make Amber an evil vampire/stupid ghoul for no reason" is bulls*it. Don't get me wrong, the game is great, the bad endings are nice, but the "true" ending sucks badly.

I have zero interest in replaying this game knowing all my friends are gonna die, my non-biological sister who truly loves me is gonna die, my biological sister don't give two sh*ts about me, my king don't care about my (now destroyed) organization and i now live next to a crumbled town

To be fair most people don't play H-games for the story.  But trust me, I get it too.  It's always sad to see our friends and family go away.

(1 edit) (+1)

Now that I've completed the game, some thoughts:

I'd forgotten how good your storytelling is.  I'm actually more impressed with it now than I was the first time I played, probably because I've read a lot of genuinely awful stories since then. A couple things that bugged me at first were 1) Ashe telling Mila that they weren't close anymore and she wanted no further part of her life (apparently fighting to the death together meant nothing to her) and 2) the bashing that Rinaldo constantly received from Ashe and Faaldha (while he was unquestionably rash and at times foolish, he also burned with righteous anger and was willing to sacrifice himself to it, which I think deserves a great deal of credit). But I now think you handled both of these things correctly, or in the first case, at least reasonably.

Two other things that bother me about the storytelling which I do still wish to make comments on were the post-battle moments of clarity and the memory fragments. While I understand the desire to morally redeem fallen characters, this particular way of handling it felt… "forced" might be the right word. Not in the sense that the moments were trite, but from a lore perspective, their occurrence doesn't make sense to me.  Why would a vampire getting beaten up reduce the hold of vampirism on them? It's not entirely clear to me from what we are told whether the behavioral changes are the innate effects of the vampiric curse or a psionic link to the master, but regardless: if the curse is altering their mental state like a drug (which it is often depicted like), it doesn't seem like dying should have any effect, and if the cause is psionic control, it seems like the effect should actually become stronger as the spawn weakens (and loses any power they might have had to resist it). So their moments of clarity don't make sense to me.

My complaint regarding the memory fragments is much shorter and really more of a suggestion. The memory fragment fights were all pretty generic and unmemorable (barely more difficult or time-consuming than the ordinary goons running about the palace), and I feel like a real opportunity to relive Mila's regrets or fears was missed by the total lack of dialogue. I mean, why have they been called forth in the first place, if not to torment her?

My last comment is that the final battle felt much too easy. I thought I was going into the battle significantly under-leveled, as I had, by my estimate, skipped half the castle content. (I was HR 74, maybe you can say what it was balanced for.) As it is, I beat the boss without any real difficulty on the first try. IMO, Ashe constantly (and automatically! no opportunity cost required!) reviving Mila is the culprit, because Ashe is an absolute tank, so Mila's health suddenly doesn't matter. I'm honestly not convinced it's necessary and would suggest disabling that. Then again, I don't recall being challenged by any of the bosses after Vivienne (the first time, in chapter 2), so maybe a hard mode would be a better solution.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts on a couple of things. Overall, it's a great game. Thanks for making it freely available. I'll be watching to see what you do next.

(+1)

Fair enough on the story telling from the last few scenes. For the sake of scene flow, I feel that some story elements need to be interpreted by player themselves, but they could have been explained better in the text itself.

On the first note, Ashe does care for Mila. She just wishes to live her own life separate from the organization that caused her such trauma. I don’t think she would consider Mila close, just because they have spent so much time apart from each other and they have grown into their own people. She trusts that Mila will be fine on her own.

Rinaldo can be seen a number of ways depending on your perspective. He did save many lives while he was alive, but also did awful things to his family. Its only natural that those that were close to him could see him as deplorable. It’s a grey area, much like with many dead legends..

In the case of a vampire reverting to how they were before, you could say that the “hold” a master vampire has over the ones they turn is more like a powerful suggestion. In certain cases, a victim can still recall their old feelings. It would depend on how deep their level of corruption goes. A victim whose mind has been completely shattered by their master will have no will of their own. In the case of the boss of the mistress of the castle, she left her minions in a healthy, but controllable state, enough for them to fend for themselves as pawns. Needless to say, if she were in the room when these redemption scenes occur, their will would be easily broken (such as the scene where the last minion is in the room with her mistress near the very end of the game).

I should probably toss this lore into a book somewhere for players to find on their own, because you bring up a fair point.

On that last point about the difficulty, I scaled the boss to be around HR 50. I took my play testing into account, and I dont like to grind too much, so HR 50 felt like the sweet-spot to me, while leaving plenty of room for players to grind if they want to. The final battle is rather easy, admittedly. I mainly wanted it to be cinematic than difficult, which is why I made False Memory I, to scratch that challenge itch.

Ho Ho

Get the hell out of here, I don’t want what you’re selling!

I want to ask how I can turn"Papyrus of Acknowledgment" to "Acknowledgement of Sin"? as I keep trying in Fc-25 but nothing happens ( I already get the "Blood Chalice" and spent almost an hour and a half trying to turn the other item but keep failing )

you have to place it on the altar in the room with the confessional first, then step into the confessional.

Thank you for the help

The ending had me crying, I absolutely love the game that you made, MKRU. I can't wait to see how far will it grow in the future. Keep up the great work

Couldn’t ask for a better compliment. Thank you! 🙏

You are welcome, credit is due where credit is due

(1 edit)

I've said this before and i'm going to say again: This is the best RPG Maker game i've played. After a few close calls, i've managed to beat the final boss with HR 65 (enemies attacking 3 times with magic can be a pain haha). Short, but cute ending although i feel sorry for some characters but all's well when end's well.

PS: Alexandria first form is my new favorite sexy vampire!!

The last dungeon is amazing in everything (size, layout, ambience music, mini-puzzles). I cannot express how much i've enjoyed this game and i'm looking forward to see the vampire route getting some love as well.

You're amazing, MKRU! I hope you and everyone who played have a wonderful weekend and happy new year!

Thank you! 🥲

Choas in the endgame: (It's a never ending loading screen + i got the sentimental bear if that helps anything)

(+1)

Are you playing on Android by any chance? I am in the process of uploading a fix that corrects this issue. Should be up soon.

Yup, ty

I just uploaded the new version. The name is the same, but it shouldn't give you that error anymore (hopefully).

Both sprites ended both dissappearing after the credits and after the theater unlocked screen im stuck here

🙄

Ok I think it's about time someone asked this. What is the the dealer. Is he like Ashe, a half vampire?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lol, thank you anyway. Your game is goated

In my head canon, he's an eccentric man who has come by a great deal of magical power over his very long lifetime.

ended the game last night and i can say the ending was awesome mila journey up until now reflected on how strong she became fighting even a certain powerful vampiress in the end...she became the embodiment of hope for mankind....

:D

The Mysterious Dealer seems to disappear from his store in act five. Makes completing the delivery quest impossible.

Nope. He’s just somewhere else at that point.

Just found him. D'oh!

Thanks.

Where was he? I've been looking.

The game was awesome, nothing to say. I was so excited to discover how the story could end. You did an amazing job.

The sad part is that in the end the game remains frozen and I don't know what to do.

Despite that I loved the game. Bravo

That’s odd. That should only happen if its missing the credits2.txt file, which should be in there. What platform are you playing on?

Android

im not sure if something was removed in the porting process then.

Are there any plans on Vampire route expansion?

(+1)

Yes, its the next big project.

Are you going to expand all of the vampire routes or just the Dorian one?

The Dorian route is the vampire route and that is the one that is getting expanded.

thanks santa mkru for the best vampire game ever also thanks for hearing me out =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

This is a fun game, but Vampire: the Masquerade Bloodlines exists.

im well aware of that but i prefer this one

(+1)

And has been for over 18 years... so it has been a hot minute since then. I appreciate the effort MKRU put into Crimson Vale. Afterall, this is not an imposter game - it really is a game in its own right while also being filled to the brim with lewd stuff =)

When will the Android version of 5.1.1 be released?

Soon.

It just spawned. Thanks so much! It has an apple icon by it, though; how odd! :o

It sure does, must have missed that!

It's been a long time coming but it's finally here. Thanks for making this lovely vampire game- would play it for hours on end!!

I hope you enjoy the new content! :D

Weird when I boot up the game it says ReferenceError
makeVideoPlayableInline is not defined help?

If you are booting the game with an older save you will get this error. Start from scratch or use the included saves.

No no when I boot up the game, nothing to do with saves at all

What platform are you playing on? Also, does this error occur even when starting a new game for you?

I am on Windows and no, just when it boots up. I can't open/play the game

It's released in 12/26 Beijing Time, the 'Cristmas' for a few group people in China(who respect Chairman Mao), haha

Will the walkthrough be released with the public release?

Yup.

(1 edit)

Cool, can't wait

(+1)

To my knowledge the game was 70% completed. I can't wait to see what is next for our heroine in the dark side of the game

(1 edit) (+1)

Finally reached the end of the main story. Have to say, amazing work with the second half of chapter 5. Really gave me a lot of Castlevania vibes. The feeling of adventuring through the varied and intricate landscapes that you've created was amazing. When I reached the penultimate area of chapter 5 and the music kicked in, I was hyped.

The boss encounters before the last had a lot of narrative threads set up in the previous chapters pay off in a satisfying way. The stuff that surrounds Mila's mother, Ashe, Lucille had great reveals. I enjoyed how a certain contract character made an appearance. It was a blast reaching the end.

The final boss was as climactic as it should be, given everything that has set up. The design was great, and it had a unique mechanic to defeating it. It was funny that a certain character showed up in the end for an assist when I had no problem draining the boss with bombga.

I have some nits when it comes to the ending which are that there's no choosing of Mila's final fate after defeating the final boss and that it was too short. The ending is fine as it is--the part with the Nocturna members after the boss was a great sendoff for these characters. However, I wanted to see more. Would've found it interesting to see what many of the characters (main or contract) have been doing lately. Would've loved if we get to see Mila and Lucille reconcile and connect after the game. Would've enjoyed seeing if Mila would take up Bianca's offer. Maybe there could be a final decision at the end based on one's quest completion to choose Mila's ending. Hope you would consider this since it would make a fantastic end to a fantastic game!

I have completed the game at HR85 with all contracts completed and all skills have been acquired (even the secret one with the 13 super boss rematches). It has been an incredible journey watching this game grow. For years, I had kept this game close to my heart. Seeing and voting on new contracts, waiting each Sunday for the news drop, and witnessing how the main story would unfold.

Thank you MKRU for working on this game as much as you have. I can't wait to see what you have cooking up for next time.

(+2)

Sooo… an expanded ending is something I wanted to implement, but the scope for this update was getting out of hand, so I decided to cut it around midway through development. I would like to go back and add on to it in a future update, but for now, I wanted to keep the ending rather simple and ambiguous.

Everyone’s journey with Mila is different, so what she decides to do after the end of the game is ultimately for the player to decide.

Thank you so much for playing through to the end. If one of the complaints is that you wanted more, thats hardly a negative in my book lol.

now im addicted to vampire games like this one yet this one is the only one i know of with "suck" a cool "bloody" vampire story with an amazing main character it amazes me yet i cant get the full game since i cant pay the patreon...*dies slowly while dissipates into dust because of sadness*

it will be available to everyone for free on christmas!

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

Will the christmas release be available here like normal? And how do I transfer my save file to it if I'm on android?

it will release here on the 25th as usual. Im not sure how you would migrate a save from android to PC, and either way, moving over older saves has never been a thing with these updates.

Vampire's Fall: Origins is another really good vampire rpg. It uses turn based combat similar to old flash games.

Something's weird with the equipment menu. When I select the HEAD option and choose another piece of equipment, the game exits me out of the equipment menu and pause menu. This is nothing game-breaking, but it is annoying to re-enter the menu after selecting a new headpiece.

(1 edit)

it might be a headpiece that triggers a field effect. Something like the bunnygirl hood or any of the  cursed vampire equipment will trigger this. In game dev speak, it basically triggers a common event when equipped, which forces the menu to close.

It is the headpiece of The Bunny Girl Ears that triggers the field effect as you mentioned. If I were to equip it or select another headpiece while the Ears are currently equipped, it forces the menu to close. Would like to see this fixed later on.

Been looking forward to experience the entire main story so I started another playthrough from the beginning.

I started playing with a controller, but I didn't like the default settings. I went into the settings menu to reassign, but something strange occurred.

After selecting a button to reassign, the game froze and I cannot move using my controller nor keyboard. After a restart, the controller settings just disappeared. Would like to see this addressed soon.

it may be an issue with the rpg maker engine itself. I may not have a fix for this, at least not in time for the next update.

Also i am still a little puzzled. You said there will be an item that will improve the late game grinding. Will it be found inside a chest, or somewhere on the ground?

(+1)

It's a reward for completing a mini challenge inside the last dungeon. However, it's towards the end of the dungeon.

Thank you very much, that's very helpful. Keep up the good work the game is amazing

(+1)

Thank you. Check back in a few hours when the latest version is released! :)

Little stupid nitpick:
On the vampire route beginning of chapter 2 when Genny lies on top of Mila, Mila says that she can't breath. But isn't she a vampire and doesn't need to? xD

Besides that this is the best vampire game out there by a league. Keep up the good work MKRU!!

P.S.: I'm in love with Rita. It would be so cool to see more of her at some point in the game. Mby even as a vampire =)

She said that out of embarasment not because she doesn't need to breath.

Are you planning on making sims 4 recreations like you did before for the comic? I'm trying to create both the hunters and vampires from this game, but I feel like I'm lacking details.

(+1)

I’m not really into Sims 4 tbh. It has a lot of potential, but the updates ruined my mods, so I gave up on it. I also hated that when a sim turned into a vampire, they were put into randomized clothing. Idk if that was a glitch or not, but I couldn’t find a fix for it. 😟

(+1)

Just created an account to say thank you so much for this game. Easily the best rpg maker game i've played (and i've played a lot of payed rpg maker games on Steam platform). A question: Can we expect more succubus content in the future? Ps: I love you! Ps2: I'm hungry for more content! Ps3: I love your art!

(+1)

Thank you! I have no current plans for more succubus content, but that doesn't mean more can't be added in future updates! We'll just have to see what patrons vote on for the next contract!

Is there a bad end viewer for the current version?

(+1)

No, but there will be in the upcoming version! Its about to release, so be sure to follow for all the details!!

is there a way to have it for iPhone?

(+1)

Man I wish! I have an iphone myself and I would love to have it on the go. I may try and port it down the line, but theres no easy way to do it without owning a Mac myself.
