Welcome to the 2022 MashUp Game Jam!

This is the third annual game jam hosted by Game Development YouTuber MashUp Games. With over 200+ people participating in the last game jams, this event is guaranteed to be worth your time!

In this game jam, you will have 10 DAYS to make a game. In previous jams the time frame was 72 hours, but in this iteration we will be trying out a longer timeframe to offer more flexibility to those who can't devote an entire weekend to this.

You will be given a theme to use in your game. How you adhere to this theme will be entirely up to you, and though it is not a requirement if you want to just make your own thing, using the theme is still highly recommended to get a high rating!

When the 10 days are up, the games will then be rated on the following categories:

Overall

Fun

Originality

Design

Art

Sound

It is highly encouraged that you play and rate other entries, as it will increase the chances of people doing the same to yours!

You can use ANYTHING to make your game.

All game engines and frameworks are allowed, as long as people can play your game on the computer. A WebGL version is the best bet to get people to play your entry!

This means art, sound, music and code that you have the proper licenses to use. So anything you have got from Asset Stores or stuff online with the Creative Commons license or that you have bought are completely allowed.

Once the rating period starts, you CANNOT work on your game any further unless you are:

Fixing bugs that make the game unplayable

Adding a WebGL version of your entry

When the rating period has ended however, you can then do whatever you like with your game :)
