No Travis route he's straight. But with Klaus, you have to first get a jacket and go outside then follow Klaus after you wake up, do Bjorn's route, and when you and him are looking up at the stars decide to follow Klaus into the forest.
Actually it's a really hard method to play Klaus' route tbh... I did once but I can't remember how, I played through all the possibility Though. Just try out the most relevant choices for him. But yeah, I couldn't say there are "routes" because it's about everybody, so you must hard focus on your ideal.
I just finished Rune's update and it was truly lovely. It gave him so much depth, and I like him even more. Can't wait for the next updates. I really love this VN.

this games atmosphere is the most comforting shit ive ever experienced. just the music, the story and characters, the art like gaddamn. snowy cabin in norway alr has the best vibes but then you add everything else and its kinda perfect. imo the cuddling and hugging scenes bring me unspeakable amounts of joy. gratz to prince o sky for the arvo rune art its fits the game so nice <3. my new comfort game and it should be everyone elses too :3

I've tried and played countless of FVNs, do you want recommendations? I have an entire collection just for "those holding a special place in my heart" numbering close to 70, I believe. Since you're new to the whole thing in general.
About Repeat: It's one of the oldest FVNs, that didn't get abandoned, with a compelling and thrilling story, but in my opinion not so great characters. However that could have changed since then, so it is a pretty good recommendation. Although I wouldn't say Dawn Chorus and Repeat are comparable.
Btw. what's your favorite genre or most important element in a VN?
That's definitely a criteria that is important, unless unique means just different and not different from most/all other characters or love interests. Therefore Tyson was/is my favorite love interest of any FVN, who is basically best friend friend, not literal dad and lover all at once for the MC. Backstory isn't really important to me, because characters have to be more than 1/2 dimensional from the start to keep me invested in the first place or the story is intense. You could say a backstory adds depth, but I think it can also be cheating.
The best gay novel trilogy I ever read has the greatest characters of any story I know. Everyone is unique and interacts in a believable way. Their backstories are very intense.
I don't mind a well written sex scene, but it's hard to get them I feel like and can even ruin a FVN (creator too) in my case with Tennis Ace. Romance is always welcome, if it is introduced correctly and executed in a natural pace. Some FVNs such as "cute'n fluffy" (forgot the name) completely fail or ridicule this crucial aspect.
So far I have done nothing but love this vn the characters, the style, the story, the paths and more just leaves me wanting more the characters are so lovable but also deep with their own story's and thoughts the choice of location was very creative and honestly I enjoy it. The y/n and his thoughts are very capturing of a personality I can't quite place but I find it interesting same goes for the characters (my Fav Lake & Rune something about them just charms me) and side note I do think the music is just lovely thanks if you read this keep your work going your doing spectacularly have a good day people! :)
Wow...just wow, what an amazing experience this game is, the characters are all loveable and charming in their own way, their story and struggle felt so real and relatable, I've rarely cried in VN but this game managed to brought tears in one of the routes, and the music! Man the soundtrack is AMAZING! it feels very nostalgic and soothing, I've been stuck in the title screen for almost an hour cuz of it lol, definitely going to listen to it everyday now whenever I feel stressed or just need to unwind from alot of things, Keo and the rest of your team, you're doing an amazing job and I can't thank you enough for this gem of a game, a solid 10/10!
I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best thing ever. Not just the best VN but one of the best things I've ever read in my entire life. I find so much comfort in these characters and most of the struggles that they face are so relatable. This VN has helped me get through so hard times and personally, I think that it changed me as a person, maybe even kept me here on this earth. Keo's writing and the way that he describes scenes and feelings are absolutely phenomenal, I don't think I've felt so many emotions while reading before. I've been listening to the soundtrack while I go on walks or write and I can feel the emotion in the music, I usually tear up while listening to it. Even just the main menu music makes me feel some sort of way. (the deer that ran is my favorite track, always makes me cry.) Prince O' Sky and Bakemonoy have outdone themselves with the illustrations. Whoever did the art for Rune day 2 I just want to say that you made me cry so much and that the art is beyond beautiful. I can see that Dawn Chorus has an amazing team of people working on it and has 100% effort put into it. I can not wait until it is finished because I'll be going through it every day and bawling my eyes out. Dawn Chorus is an 11/10 and you can't make me change my mind. Everything about the VN is beautiful.

The same with Devon, Mikko, Lake (idk if Lake has one, but I do remember getting surprised by his new looks) and Bjorn. Oh, and Klaus too. I was hoping I could see them again. I still remember the old sprites for Devon and Bjorn though, but Mikko, Lake and Klaus? No, they already left my brain.
Can I have a look at their old sprites? Maybe some pics and screenshots? But it's okay if you don't want to. (I'm hoping I can see them again, though.)
