So, this is a bit of an awkward workaround for this issue, but look in the Google Play store for an app called JoiPlay. Install it, and then look for Renpy for Joiplay module, also on the play store (I don't know why it's separate). Download the WINDOWS version of Our Life and extract it (doesn't matter where, just remember where it is). Open Joiplay (not the Renpy for Joiplay icon, if it pops up. That's just a mod for the app), there'll be a big + icon on the bottom, click that and set the exe to the OurLife.exe which is in the game folder that you extracted. You can put the game's name and the icon, if you want. Then there's an accept or save button. Then, the game will be on the Joiplay app. Just hit it and you'll be able to play it. I can't attest to how well it'll work, since I never actually sat and played it this way, but it definitely opens, I remember that. If you buy the DLC, you can just move them into the game folder like you would on a PC.
I did play a couple other Renpy games this way and they worked, for the most part, so it might at least let you play it, lol.
Joiplay doesn't work for me too. And the windows version, idk why, won't work with my device despite being brand new. Sadly, might just watch a gameplay..
whenever i try to install/update any of the dlc I've bought while on the itchio app I get the message " an error occurred during installation no manager for installation unknown. And When trying to download/install through the website i just get a blank file.
The files you download from the website are .rpa files. Move them into the game folder (the folder within the OurLife folder that's actually called "game") and then the DLC will show up. You can still launch the game through the itchio app and it'll work, but it's not downloading DLC for some reason.
When you open the game, look at the bottom left corner and it'll say what version you're playing. It confused me, too, bc when I opened it, it showed the big update notice for 1.4, but I looked in the corner and it was 1.5.1
Deleted all the DLCs i had but I downloaded everything back including the game but now I can't open or use any of the DLCs. Feels like a part of my soul/heart has been stripped from me. ;^;
That's generally something that happens if there's some kind of graphics cards incompatibility. Either the settings should be changed or they need to be updated or something along those lines.

1) Download the Game (1.5 version) and DLCs.
2) Install the Game.

5) Finally, move each of the DLCs/Voice Pack .rpa files into this file ONE AT A TIME (doesn't work when you do it all at once, for some reason). Once you do that, just start up the game and it should all be installed. (I recommend checking the app as you do each one to ensure that it is installed).

Hi, I came across an unexpected exception during Step 4, where Cove changed into his formal wear for the mom's anniversary. The exception said it couldn't load the image and was wondering how I can fix it or if it was a bug.

I played this and I fricken love it I love cove so much that boy had my heart squeezing. I wish Shiloh remembered us though,,, it's just a part of real-life anyway sometimes it's not how we want. I still want to be reunited with Shiloh he's so adorable
I played this through steam last year when step 3 wasn't yet released and it was so fun ! Out of all the games I've played this one sticks out in my mind. The art is beautiful the characters are well developed its just a great game !
This was an amazing concept and outcome for a nicely paced romance visual novel. Our Life is one of my favorite games in general because you developed a connection with every single character (yes even Jeremy). The amount of customization in this game was definitely a part of why I love it. The initiative options are so thoughtful and I never thought a game would ever need those there but I appreciate it very much after playing OL. The way you wrote the character Liz was amazing because I'm a big sister and I often acted mean to my younger sister, but as I got older, we both got closer and now we are each other's best friends. Cove was an amazing character all around, the fact that he was on the autistic spectrum was so nice because it got inclusion without it being based on stereotypes. Thank you for this wonderful wonderful game and I look forward to playing more of them :)

Yeah, Steam requires special approval from Apple to post Mac versions on their storefront. Itch doesn't, ahah. It'd be great if we could get that notarization but I can't say when that'd happen or if it even will. We'll try our best!
I've been livestreaming the game (you've liked my tweets announcing my streams) and I had to say that I *love* that you give the players the opportunity to choose their gender identity, whether they're on the ace or aro spectrum, and who they're attracted to. I literally clapped when I got to that part of the game. Thank you so much for giving players those options!

It depends. Most of the time beta testing simply gets you the beta build for the month you're a Patreon. You can't use Patreon to pre-order unreleased content for the future, unfortunately. But if you're beta testing during the month the DLC is released than you will get a game key once that's available.
A very wholesome and cute visual novel. The choices are very open and the options for interactability are surprisingly varied. I never felt that my choices were ignored during the game, and the way the characters acted felt like I had realistic influence on them. Very enjoyable. I hope to replay it soon.

I have never written a review for a game until now. I downloaded this game back in March and was really excited to play it. I had been waiting for the addition of Step 4 since then and only today did I decide to play through it. There really is no way for me to fully express my feelings for this game and how amazing it really is. All I can really say is thank you. Thank you for making this game. There's a lot of memorable moments and quotes from this game and I'm sure I won't ever forget my experience with it. I'm not sure if the developers will see this comment but if so, I have to thank you once again.

I really, really want to play this game on my Android device but I can't because the app isn't compatible with Android 11.

I'm thinking the old way you used to install these was better, at least for android. I'm not download a bunch of separate file managers to use this.

Okay so I got the game on Android and I don't get it as I looked in internal storage, android and in data but the data one is empty

Yeah, you've gotta unzip the file with whichever extracting program you prefer and then you'll get a folder with the icon to launch the game inside!
