I also got stuck with money, even with the bar, and that's kind of what I had to do. I had a huge debt. This was after I finished the game though, I wanted to complete it. Selling pinups helps just try to be fast to get it over with.
I don't know if that's a mandatory step, but in my case, all money issue disappeared from the moment kali's dad gave me 10K $. I built a fully operational bar and then never worried about money anymore.
So I've been having a lot of fun with Kate's riddles, and I might've reached the end? Am I supposed to know a code when she asks "what can I help you with?" "???" "you're looking at things backward?" ... what secrets is she holding
You need to remember the four letters you gave her for all four sets of her riddles. She specifically says at the end of that last set, that you've gained knowledge that will be useful some day, aka her final riddle, the question marks. Enter them in order, and use that clue - "backwards" - and you'll have your answer. Happy to just reveal it if you want, it's just more fun and rewarding if you figure it out on your own first :)
It's a bit too early to tell. v0.14 is currently in the stages of development where I am finishing everything and looking for polishes. Some things have been remade already and it's possible that more will be, but I will be sure to give out a recommendation to restart if it's a good idea.
Hey! So uh, I've recently got a new laptop (again) and I'd like to know if there is a way to have my save file(s) from my previous laptop to this one?
Btw, I've downloaded the game off my browser, so if there isn't a way, is there a way to max out all the characters from the start and continue from there?
You could go into your old laptop and move the saves to a flash drive, then move them over to your new laptop. Your save data should be in the same folder as the launcher. Go to the game folder, then open game, then save, and your saves should be located here. Just copy the saves folder to the same spot in your new laptop.
As ResidentLurker said, simply moves the saves via a flash drive. However, saves have their own folder in C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Harem Hotel, not the launcher folder. It's why they're completely safe when updating; by being separate from the game files, so you can delete them without worry. Only on android do you need to move the saves when updating. There does exist a code to max characters' stories, but 1) it's Patron-exclusive, and 2) comes with a bunch of issues, which it warns you about in advance.
I must have installed mine differently than most people, as my saves folder is located inside my game folder. This is the path to my saves folder <C:\Users\Pzycho\Desktop\Nightmare Fuel\Harem_Hotel-v0.13.2-pc\game\saves>.
It seems my computer is using a different structure than most people, I don't even have an AppData folder in my Users folder, lol.
That's odd, I went and double checked my user folder to see if I had enabled show hidden for it before, and had to enable it. I could have sworn I set my entire computer to show all hidden files previously, but for some reason it didn't seem to land there properly. Now I wonder what other files it didn't affect...

I love this change from a role playing perspective. It helps me keep in mind what to do so I don't end up ignoring one girl for too long or interacting with one too much.
I've spent a long time making a new map / environment for the outside of the hotel. I'm now remaking every instance of the hotel being shown on the outside.

I really like it when the characters don't like each other or prefer some of the girls to others (like ashley and the twins hating each other in the beginning). It adds authenticity, because everyone always liking everyone else is not really how real life works. Keep such relationships coming if possible :)
What do you mean? She's had that look for a good while now, it's not unique to the next update whatsoever. If you're referring to the other androids' faces, their eyes are the white eye/red eye error display that Android originally had because it's her code inside them and thus controlling them, just as she did at the elfbot reveal party. Both of these things have been in the game a fair while. Really hoping I'm just missing something in your wording here :)
For quite a long time ingame, Android wears a face mask which makes you wonder what her face looks like. The preview pictures on itch show her face right from the start, eliminating all of the mystery that's supposed to happen until you get to the big reveal.
Maybe that mystery was never intended and people don't really care, i might be wrong there. But that seems logical to me at least.

When I said I disagreed with your assessment of the situation, I was referring to Ashley and her complexities and the story in general. 2. I don't know if you know or understand what Stockholm syndrome is? I won't go into it here, lets just suffice to say the person being bullied doesn't see her attacker as such. It happens quite frequently in life, especially over a long period of time. There is even a reference to it in game. 3. Referring back to Ashley this is a complex story, that started from when she first attended school, and was unlucky enough to have to go through high school and then college with the twins. During this time, a lot of shit hits the fan in both directions. Emma is clearly also suffering from Stockholm syndrome inspite of her being Felicity's twin.
Now enter the MC and other events etc, it becomes relatively clear during the play through, that there is an uneasy truce between the three of them. (3 girls). At no point does Ashley trust either of the twins, even when all three of them go away on a vacation with the MC. It is clear Ashley neither trusts them, nor really likes them, the best phrase here would be to simply tolerate them.
Then there is the love interest between all 3 girls and the MC which complicates things. Its pretty obvious there is a truce in place between all 3 of them.
I was at no time ever referring to real life, but stranger shit has happened over the years.
I do know what stockholm syndrome is and I can understand why you would see that in Emma, but never in ashley. Ashley is stubborn and easily hurt, there's no way i can plausibly see her just making up with the twins in a single shared holiday. She's pretty jealous pretty long in the game (i can't recall if she is actually wary of the twins later on but as far as i remember, she just becomes friends with them), which amplifies that she doesn't just easily share. So I fail to see how shit hitting the fan both directions would make anything up to any party there, rather amplify their animosities..
I keep coming back and playing this game, which to me makes this an excellent game. Not only does it keep me guessing, the story is good and the scenes are excellent with some most outstanding ladies. Not to mention any game that makes you even remotely give a shit about the characters... even in a Hentai/Ecchi/Adult/Hardcore Fapfest (Whatever you want to call it) is a keeper.

I have a question, how do i update the game from an old build to a new one? I downloaded this maybe 2 weeks ago and i see a new update came out but im new to this stuff. Do i just download the game and my progress stays or do i just restart? (not really a problem if i have to restart)
I "think" that you start the new game and load your old save. I've read that it should work except if the games have suffered so much changes that it's not save compatible.
Also i read (in this game or another similar one) to make sure to make a hard copy of your hard save, just in case.
Depends, android or PC? PC - Simply download and play, you can delete the old file. Android - Download, move saves over manually, play. You can then delete the old file. Not sure what you mean by a new update 2 weeks ago; the last update was 4 months ago, though there will be one pretty much a week from now ("near the end of the month").

I think im encountering a problem(?). I can't play the game since it kept kicking me out after the first choice (skip the intro or watch the intro). I can't watch the intro since it will close down the game after I choose it. If I try to skip it, it will also close the game (but if I tap fast and choose skip the intro it will let me see a bit, like 3 tap then it will close down. Even on option, it will close down after a few seconds. Playing on Samsung A12 (Android 11)
This isn't technically a bug, it would be more of a continuity error. The problem is most likely that the tags for that part of Maria's story aren't set to require a specific point in each other girls story to happen first. I had a few different story events that happened after Maria disappeared that featured her in them, but only because I had to progress those stories in order to set the triggers for retrieving her.

I was saying because in the new version I get this scene instead of the one I showed previously, so I pre-subbed if it was changed in the update or you need some lin statistics to make it appear. the version I'm talking about is 12.4
I don't remember that scene. I may have gotten it as well but I don't remember. I do know that Lin was the first character that I focused on the relationship with while trying to get to the point where I could do pinups for cash, so maybe that had something to do with it.

INCREDIBLE game. At first I thought this was a simple "fuck girls in a hotel"-game, but when then you start to learn the characters and their backstories, the characters themselves also intertwine with each other, setting up amazing scenes. The writing is superb and animations are smooth and perfectly looped. This is a 5/5 game.

I was really surprized but not as much as i thought. I really thought i could be Hana's case (which it was) but for Maria, i thought the eyes meant the same as Ashley (and Ellen) and so she would be out of that.

It's not even made yet, you must mean either the alpha, or one of the four betas. You can only get that by being a Patron, but if you've never paid on Patreon, then a Patron must have given you it. Not good practice, especially since the full release is, what, less than two weeks away?

Is it possible to download version 0.12 (because it still worked)? I wish I could play but one version is not working (0.13) and the other is not loading / seeing saves (0.13.2). The option to leave the previous version for download when a newer version comes out would be nice to have an emergency fallback option if needed.
Hi, Do you know when JoiPlay will be fixed? Because it does not work yet, even before the unfortunate update, it stopped working.
Today I tried to play the PC version (0.13.2) and despite adding the save folder to the game folder, the game does not see the saves. I don't want to start the game over.
I click "Load" and all the slots are "Empty".
Version 0.13 crashes some bugs (I also tried to run on the PC itself).

The latest version of Joiplay is working as far as I know. I wish I could offer more help, all I can say is make sure you're following the android installation guide on this page.
Try asking the JoiPlay devs and/or community, I believe they have a Discord, not sure how to get an invite though other than from someone already in it.

enable the option to show hidden folders (Look at top left. It's under file->options)

Saves aren't stored in the game's files, so you are free to delete all of v0.13 whenever you want. Saves are stored in %appdata%.
To update, simply download, install, launch, and load.

I can't watch the intro since it will close down the game after I choose it. If I try to skip it, it will also close the game (but if I tap fast and choose skip the intro it will let me see a bit, like 3 tap then it will close down. Even on option, it will close down after a few seconds. Playing on Samsung A12 (Android 11)

It's probably just odd because I'm used to games being downloaded from itch, I meant no disrespect.
From what I have gathered (and I could be very wrong on this) the file size of this game is larger than what itch supports on its own servers.

This isn't technically a bug, it would be more of a continuity error. The problem is most likely that the tags for that part of Maria's story aren't set to require a specific point in each other girls story to happen first. I had a few different story events that happened after Maria disappeared that featured her in them, but only because I had to progress those stories in order to set the triggers for retrieving her.

25Gb??? My pendrive can put it in but the PC that I use can't transfer more than 6Gb

I'm not really sure this is the type of content that you would want to be playing on a public PC. Not trying to be rude or anything, but I doubt it's something that you would want others to potentially see you playing, especially family members. That could be majorly emberrassing.

The scene in your screenshot is still in the current public release. I can't say anything about the recent Beta version, because I don't have it though.
I was saying because in the new version I get this scene instead of the one I showed previously, so I pre-subbed if it was changed in the update or you need some lin statistics to make it appear. the version I'm talking about is 12.4
I don't remember that scene. I may have gotten it as well but I don't remember. I do know that Lin was the first character that I focused on the relationship with while trying to get to the point where I could do pinups for cash, so maybe that had something to do with it.

You can just keep on playing - on PC, the saves are stored separate to the game and so never need to be touched.

INCREDIBLE game. At first I thought this was a simple "fuck girls in a hotel"-game, but when then you start to learn the characters and their backstories, the characters themselves also intertwine with each other, setting up amazing scenes. The writing is superb and animations are smooth and perfectly looped. This is a 5/5 game.

I was really surprized but not as much as i thought. I really thought i could be Hana's case (which it was) but for Maria, i thought the eyes meant the same as Ashley (and Ellen) and so she would be out of that.
Now i'm just hoping to see her with her collar, for my photo collection.
I had it in mind (i got a hint on the conversation with "Syl'ris" the queen of lowland elf) but surprised as well, Maria is my favorite girl so i feel so sorry for her.

It's not even made yet, you must mean either the alpha, or one of the four betas.
You can only get that by being a Patron, but if you've never paid on Patreon, then a Patron must have given you it. Not good practice, especially since the full release is, what, less than two weeks away?
it's a beta yeah and no aint been to patreon cause i'm dead broke till i find a new job.... while i can't grantee any patreon members aren't giving out copies it wasnt to me i honestly only ever come here to download games or steam but thats different

Once each update begins development, I announce the plans and estimated release date in that post on patreon. Patreon isn't only for paying members. You can check the v0.14 development announcement post at any time.
Is it possible to download version 0.12 (because it still worked)? I wish I could play but one version is not working (0.13) and the other is not loading / seeing saves (0.13.2). The option to leave the previous version for download when a newer version comes out would be nice to have an emergency fallback option if needed.

Do you know when JoiPlay will be fixed? Because it does not work yet, even before the unfortunate update, it stopped working.
Today I tried to play the PC version (0.13.2) and despite adding the save folder to the game folder, the game does not see the saves. I don't want to start the game over.
I click "Load" and all the slots are "Empty".
Version 0.13 crashes some bugs (I also tried to run on the PC itself).

So far I have played this game via android emulator (Memu). At least it's fairly easy to find folders
The latest version of Joiplay is working as far as I know. I wish I could offer more help, all I can say is make sure you're following the android installation guide on this page.
Try asking the JoiPlay devs and/or community, I believe they have a Discord, not sure how to get an invite though other than from someone already in it.
