We are Halcyon Frequency, a team of content creators over on Twitch. Since the team's creation in 2019, we've been hard at work building a community with a common interest in gaming. We strive to bring unique content and opportunities to our community, such as the weekly Halcyon Frequency Podcast and annual Hot Potato charity events. We are thrilled to now have the opportunity to invite you to our 2nd ever Halcyon Frequency Game Jam!
This event follows our first game jam hosted here on itch.io, which featured 8 wonderful and creative submissions! We want to continue giving you opportunities to showcase your talents, no matter where those may lie. At the end of the Jam, we will showcase your game over on Twitch (see the Guidelines for more info)!
Jammers will have 72 hours to produce a viable game concept for submission! Once the submission period has passed, the audience and other participants will have the opportunity to rate your submission, and you may rate other projects.

All submissions will be reviewed before showcased on stream - any submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines will be skipped or removed.
All members of the community are invited to participate, no matter your respective skill level(s). Even if you are a complete beginner, we want to give you the opportunity to shine!
Always wanted to Jam, but feel that you aren't able produce a viable product on your own? We have provided a space in the Halcyon Discord intended to help others locate potential Jam partners, as well as plan and coordinate with others. At this point in time, there are no restrictions on group size (subject to change, depending on interest and participation).

A few of us on the team suffer from simulation sickness, which is a form of motion sickness experienced while playing video games. People suffering from simulation sickness may feel discomfort, dizziness, headaches, increased heart rate, fatigue, sweating, or nausea while playing games that include possible triggers - see below. If you have questions about this or want to confirm if your game is simulation-sickness friendly, feel free to reach out to 2DKiri or FGsquared.
We would also like to draw your attention to other accessibility features, such as color-blind options, subtitles/closed captioning, on-screen visualizers, and controls remapping. While inclusion of these features may not necessarily be within the scope of a weekend game jam, we would like to encourage would-be developers to be cognizant of these features even beyond the jam setting.
As for judging, anyone can leave a rating. We'll encourage our audiences to play the games and leave constructive feedback. We will also be watching as the games develop.
After the jam, we'll be playing the most popular and complete projects on our streams and providing live feedback. If you prefer us not to play your game publicly, please specify so in your submission.
