It's a relaxing atmospheric game with a rather large map. The colored orbs are pretty :3
It may be intentional but you can only run when pressing W, can be annoying when strafing and you get slowed down.

No worries, I believe game jams are to work with time constrains. I am sure this is a lesson learnt for the future. If that story part would have been finished I am sure the experience would have been much more complete. Hopefully next time there is time for implementing everything :) In any case keep the good work
It would be nice if there was some indication of how many you collected and how much still to go, and where to find them.
I get that a big UI wouldn't really fit the whole setting, so some sort of placing them at the monument and some interaction there to get pointed at the directions for the missing ones might work well.
While the look of the skybox fits quite well, its pixelization doesn't. A similar one at a higher resolution would be better...
Whether one could cross a fence or not was rather erratic. Maybe have at least two different fence images (one with barbs, one without?) to differentiate them, or leave it completely passable (except for where it might actually be necessary to confine the player from dropping off the map)...
The atmosphere and music was really soothing, yea the game can do more with better tutorial and instructions on what exactly to do.
cool walking sim , nice relaxing music. the color pallet was really nice too
Hi! I found your game from https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2022/topic/2148162/feedback-for-everyone-windo.... I have tested and rated the game and here's my feedback about it:
Overall: you have managed to build a really good atmosphere here. This games probably works the best for those who enjoy walking simulators or other slow-paced games that are more about the emotional experiences than complex or action based gameplay.
maaaan, even in the afterlife you chase after unattainable goals in the form of blue glowing orbs? will it never stop? dang!
you already have a good foundation here - the music and the colors are really vibing with each other and create a melancholic-soothing-but-also-intense atmosphere! sounds like a contradiction, but it's not. you go on!
As a fan of walking sim type games, I like the atmosphere you created. Good job! I couldn't work out how to get the blue orb on top of the stone - don't know if I missed something there? Anyway congrats on the submission 😎
I think some people in the comments didn't figure out how to press shift to run. I thought I got all 7 orbs but nothing happened? Did I miscount? I spent way too long trying to get the one on the obelisk then came to the comments to find that it isn't one of them.
Nice visuals, relaxing music. Shame you didn't get to add any story in, even if it had just been text and not a voiceover
I think you know its needs more work and everyone has already explained that.
Just keep going with it :)
Hi, I have to say, that I don't really know what to do. I walked over some bounceing speres but there was just a sound. POIs are a bit far appart. I lidend your sounddesign and atmosphere.
#rate4rate
I liked the aesthetics and the music! Like others mentioned, I found the content to be a bit too far apart, which led to too much downtime. Else it's a very solid experience! :)
Lovely scene and very nice sound work. I appreciate that bunny-hopping works!!
This was a cozy gameplay! We need more titles like that!
Although it was a cozy exploration, I felt like there was too much space between the interesting parts of the map. Which made me spend most of the time running and not exploring. Also, some feedback on how many orbs are still out there would be nice.
Another thing that could help is a landmark easy to see from anywhere in the map. For example a tower in the center.
The map is really nice to explore, if rather large and abandoned. It was fun to climb atop the mountains and see how far out I can go, then look back down at the world from above. I think I also caught a comet in the sky which was super cool, and the subtle pitter patter of the rain on the camera. It's obvious you were careful with the ambiental effects, it made the experience really enjoyable, despite the lack of mechanics.
I would have liked the camera to be set a little higher though, unless this is supposed to be a child's perspective, in which case, it's perfect, but should be explained. Speaking of explaining, a little introduction at the beginning would have been helpful, rather than being thrown into a pocket dimension with no notion of who I am, where I am, and what I'm meant to do (and I know you mentioned details around these lines on the game's page, but I feel having it in-game is a simple way to add a lot more value to your game). I'm only insisting on this because I feel that the storytelling aspect is an important one to get players involved with your world. I cannot argue about it not being pretty (I love the esthetics), but it would be so much better if it was meaningful, too.
All in all, congratulations for making it. If you do plan to develop it further, do enjoy the process :)
glad you liked it!
Regarding the storytelling part
During the final days of the jam
I contacted my friend to help me with the voice acting
So there would be a tutorial, story, mechanics and communication
Although he told me he will do it and send him the scripts
He did not send me the clips i was asking
Thou he sent me some unofficial clips
But i did not use it because it is an unofficial clips so there are alot of background noise, etc.
And i dont want to use it because it is his voice and as i said there were issues about the unofficial clips he sent me
I dont want to use it publicly
But thank you so much! I will work on it for a while
Game looks great. Runs smooth and responsive. Having a basic UI of some sort would have been nice, I know you mentioned you ran out of time and that's fine.
would have liked to see a WebGL version of the game if possible.
Aesthetically pleasing game, interesting story element that could be expanded on. overall I like it.
Good Job:)
