I liked the concept and aesthetics, fun game, maybe adding a "you win" screen or something like that at the end of the game :) good job on your submission!

That was fun :)

I like dungeon crawlers, but two issues that are really bringing this game down are that you need to give the player more information, but above of all, I don't think you should've put as much effort making so much level and so many enemy waves while the pathfinding and combat were still not in a functional state.

awesome game!  I like the concept of a skeleton player beating other skeletons,  the  art is great and gives that horror action game,  almost gave me a jumpscare when the skeleton enemy is behind the player,  the controls are responsive , and the gameplay is fun and challenging. Overall enjoyed playing! congratulations! keep it up!

A dark souls with skeletons :D

Things I liked:

-this game was fun because I loved being able to dodge around the skeletons. I felt nimble and strong!

-I liked the progression- small skeletons to the black one! It was easy to recognize how they grew stronger!

-the dungeon as a skeleton working your way to the throne- that was super awesome!

Things to improve:

-FEEDBACK: I want to hear when I hit the guy and get that satisfaction of defeating the tough ones- especially the boss! SFX, screen shake, particles, health bar, etc. This will all enhance this experience tremendously!

-Found some issues where I could walk on top of the skeletons (short ones)

-Ending - is there one? Is there anything after the black skeleton? Not sure so it is unclear and can be improved

Overall:

Really fun and cool game - loved it! Would love to see more!!

It would be super awesome if you could check out and rate my game as well!

I enjoyed playing this. A health bar and sound/visual effects would has improved the play, and some bugs (leg animation when slashing with sword and the skeletons sliding away when killed), but great job!

Cool game. Wanna check out mine?

Nice animation and good work. The levels go well with the skeletions. Good result for one person

Nice mechanics!

I had a controller plugged in and was not able to move with my keyboard. I had to move with the joystick and attack with my mouse. That being said, I still thought you did a good job!

As others have said, could do with some sound and music or visual feedback when attacking, also not sure if your supposed to be invincible or not?

Could also do with an end screen to let the player know they've won! Good concept overall and the aesthetics were great.

Is there supposed to be a pop-up at the end? I fought a black sekeleton and it just kept running the game. I had fun ice-skating around the skeletons swinging my sword, Does the character have health, as I got hit a lot but never died. Great Job, I liked the level layout.

Developer

Thanks for all the feedback! I fixed many of the bugs! Also, to confirm, there is no music or sound: I ran out of time. Funny that you mention that the death mechanics work the moment they died. Before release I had a bug where you could keep hitting them before they get destroyed and it would keep spawning new instances of the next wave. I played it to the end and I had something like 50 orange skeletons in the final room:

Fixed:

  • Enemy death animation
  • Mouse sensitivity being too low
  • Player hit animation not firing (still no actual damage)

Still working on:

  • Enemies sliding all over the place when player runs into them
  • Enemies spinning around randomly when stationary

Your level design skill is impressive. The monsters take their time before disappear though the mechanics work the moment they died. Since there is no UI to show HP, I just tanked everything and bulldoze my way through the end. There should be some kind of messages to show that the game is ended. While playing your game I got some ideas on what kind of game I can make as rogue-like dungeon crawler like this, just the idea alone is already fun tbh.

The skeleton fighting sounds like a fun idea, but I couldn't feel the weight of my attacks.

Most of the skeletons showed no reaction to my hits, so I had no idea if I was doing damage or not.

I had no sound either (played on Web) so I got zero feedback from my attacks.

I would suggest adding sounds, maybe a health bar to enemies and the player and some particle effects or some visible hints of the enemies taking damage for a richer experience. :)

Congrats on submitting!

Looks good. If you had sound it was not working for me in the web browser version.
