Side Scrolling Beat'em Up games are their own amazing genre and this Jam is all about creating games, and resources for games, inspired by them. We're talking inspirational sources like the famous Final Fight, Streets of Rage, and Double Dragon series, classics and their re-imagined modern counterparts, like River City Ransom and River City Girls, or wild rides like TMNT: Turtles in Time or Battletoads! The year is some followed by XX's, the city is overrun with crime, the police are corrupt, gun are rare, and for some reason there's a lot of ninjas, ultra-technology, mystic powers, and powerful underground  and criminal organizations all happening at once! So as you go into this world, remember...

• Eyes on the goal! Games and resources that don't fit the submission criteria or that aren't on topic will be removed. 

Submission Criteria:

Games

• Must be a Tabletop RPG/analogue game that can be played face to face or over virtual means.
• Must be thematically be or be related to the Side Scrolling Beat'em Up game genre/style.

Resources

• Art Packs: Protagonists, antagonists (so much palette swapping!), maps and backgrounds for personal use to help add some flare to games. (Commercial use permissions determined by artist)
• Music: This genre thrives on synth and beats that make you want to fight! If you have level or boss music ideas for personal use, drop it here! (Commercial use permissions determined by artist)
• Special Challenges: These are drop in events that aren't a game in of themselves, but things that can added to other games. This is stuff like eating or drinking contests, destroying a car with your sweet moves, stuff like that! 

PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PRICE THEIR SUBMISSIONS AT A RATE THAT PROPERLY COMPENSATES THEM IF CHARGING
