Ranked from 26 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
This fits the theme in two ways:
1. The period of choosing a fish to catch is quite calm in comparison to the pressure of trying to reel it in aka the storm

2. A literal storm approaches at the end of the game, changing the atmosphere from calm to eerie

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Things not made by me: majority of sound effects from freesound.com , cel shader originally by Robin Siebold on youtube but modified to work with webgl, everything else was done from scratch.

Very smooth fishing mechanics, and I really like the art style.
Great work!

Loved the game! Was a bit difficult at first but the visuals were really good, nice job :D

I loved it !

The mechanics were hard to understand at first - specifically getting the arrows to show up. I think you need to basically click the left mouse button down on the fish, not drag the green circle onto the fish.

Once you get it, the mechanics are pretty fun! The visuals are good, too. Managed to get a tentacle.

I loved the art style, and once I got the hang of it, the gameplay was surprisingly engaging. I like how different fish spawn as the storm progresses.

I had a great time with this! The fishing mechanic is challenging but rewarding once you get the hang of it. The art style and atmosphere really set the mood, and I loved how the stakes get higher with the larger, scarier fish. It’s got a nice balance of relaxation and tension. Awesome work!

Very challenging. Turns out I fish in a game just as a I do in real life - not very well! The controls were a little tough for me as the arrows were a little finicky. Maybe one day I'll catch a fish!

Nice game! the squid and big fish creatures are very interesting to watch

This was fun. I thought it might've needed more of a scaling factor of difficulty, but it really held up to being another fishing game. And the audio was fantastic for the experience (Except for maybe the sound of reeling in the fish).

another awesome fishing game :)

Once I fully understand how the fishing works, it felt super fun, catching the big creates felt super rewarding <3

Really enjoyed this one! Big fan of the fishing mechanic and also the art style is really bringing that serene feeling right until you start trying to reel the fish in - Loved this!

Managed to catch myself the giant squid. Extremely cool take and well done. The theme is well addressed here by the start of the game being just some tiny fish, and then it gets darker and every single fish around you is a giant shark or even larger lol.
