There has been a small delay in the release of the Weird Location book, so I will return to writing on the finished locations. I still have 34 to explain! So lets begin!
First I must re-explain a location.
The Solar Eclipse has been greatly revised, as it was combined with a Vampire themed location.
The main change was replacing the Forgotten God with a new creature called The Plague Lord.
Initially he was intended to be a subtle scheming villain with a long term plan to stop the sun.
However I felt a this idea would take up too much space, and was a little hard to square with a world where there are several sun gods.
So I decided The Plague Lord would be a big guy that gets you when the sun disappears.
This character was inspired by two vampires specifically, Nosferatu, the remake of which I saw earlier this year.
And Dracula Flow, because writing is fun and I can do what I want. This detail is evident in the d10 chart bellow.
Additionally, for this location I expanded the d10 Light Shunned Power/Weakness charts to be d100 each.
I like to think I got all the vampire traits in popular culture, plus some new ones.
Next up is the Diamond Mountain!
The general inspiration for this one was an episode of Doctor Who. Series 9 Episode 11, Heaven Sent.
Best episode of Modern Who. In my opinion. Everything else falls from this general theming. Time.
Stopping Time, Traveling Time, Rewinding Time. All the classics are here! The main creature of this location is also a DrWho joke.
Also, you are obliged to read the first two sentences of this in a Scottish accent.
Well, I hope you've enjoyed these locations! And will enjoy the next 32!
