Such a gorgeous game! Beautiful art, voice acting, bgm, and writing- the UI was also clean and easy to navigate. Like many others have said, it felt like I got dropped into an amazing and fleshed out world that I just want to know more about! I see there's a new demo in the universe, looking forward to playing it!!

I found this game randomly on vndb, and thought "this is a western vn, let me guess - the tags will be: no sexual content, dark-skinned protagonist and non-binary protagonist" 🤣 and I was right on all 3 of them, what a bingo. But ok, when I was a teenager, 14yo girls were writing same things, so it's fine I guess - except we had emo and goths instead of non-binary, but it's basically the same thing, just different color pins on backpacks.
Thanks? Just for reference, though: I'm Asian, as in a Southeast Asian currently living in Southeast Asia. A lot of this game is based on the culture of my country, and I would prefer it if it wasn't labelled as western just because the language spoken is English.

For anybody that just stumbled upon this, or has been planning to play it; drop everything. Play it now. It's only about 45 minutes of your time. What Remains is something immensely precious and utterly sincere. It presents its world and the bigger story looming over the characters carefully and subtly. The cast is written so earnestly, their conversations and feelings are so genuine and private that it made me feel like I was intruding on them! Siyokoy, your passion and sincerity are abundant in every single word. You've poured so much love into this story, and you've created something really, really special. It's been a while since a story resonated with me in the way What Remains has. I'll definitely be supporting your other works and I'm incredibly excited to dig into the spinoff!

The longer review- this IF isn't very long (about 45 min-1 hr) but these characters, their world, and the story will stay with you long after you leave the game. The main characters, Salvi and MC, are both compelling, bitter, frustrated, and soft in different ways. Despite having opposing personalities, they clearly have deep affection for each other and their third companion, Dante (who is featured in memories but never makes an appearance with the characters, yet still remains a deeply impactful presence).
As a reader, it feels like you've been dropped into a rich and beautiful storyline of three characters who are intrinsically, irrevocably linked in a way that we do not fully understand but are able to appreciate. I did sometimes wish I knew a bit more about their story, but it never took away from their tale, and the ending is heartwarming and so lovely. (That said, ,I would pay good money for a full story of these three together).
I really do hope you create a sequel to this IF (or just continue to create IFs in general). You are so incredibly talented. The art, the voice acting and the music are all incredible but what really shines through is the story, and the way you can connect with readers. Thank you for this beautiful IF! I can't wait to see what else you will create. :)

I stumbled upon this game, and I must say it's exquisitely crafted. The art style, designs, UI, and animations have been thoughtfully chosen to enhance the storyline and create a cohesive experience. I genuinely appreciate the attention to detail.
The relationships between the characters are very lovely, though they would need some improvements on communication, haha. After all, communication is very important in a relationship.
The after ending does make one curious of what will happen next with the open ending. I'm looking forward to the next story!

This game is outstanding, that it honestly feels a sham to call it just a game, because truly it is an Experience. The sound mixing was perfect, with its dreamy twinkling sounds and soft strings told such a beautiful story of push and pull, of yearning. Even just the UI's are something so outstandingly beautiful. It is so earthly, yet so dreamy. The voice actors were outstandingly chosen, they breathed in a life to the characters that was amazing. You should be proud of what you created, the beauty of such an art piece is outstanding. I cannot wait to see what other projects you breathe such sweet love and life into, as this one was such an outstanding experience.

the gui is also so unique and beautiful that i cant help but admire all the intricacies of your designs! idk if its only because ive had one playthrough so far but you got me SO invested in all the lore and the worldbuilding ??? ABSOLUTE GOLD everything is so well-planned and thought out like YOURE SO METICULOUS IN EVERYTHING AND THAT SHOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED because that means you put your literal heart and soul into making this vn as immersive as possible for the ultimate user experience and tysm ily and respect you so much for this.

I think this is the best visual novel I ever played ! I love it so much I can't even find words to describe it. I clicked on it for the art, and the art is absolutely gorgeous, but the story, the beautiful writing, the music, the voice acting, have nothing to envy to the art, and I really really love the art ! How did a game I played for less than an hour made me cry, feel happy, angry, sad, inspired, and above all warm ?
I also almost missed the post credit scene and I'm glad I didn't Y-Y
I saved so many different files, not because I wasn't sure of my choice of option, but so I could go back to every scene and art easily, as I would go back to pages of a book seeking for the emotions it made me feel. Thank you for making this game
And this is why we communicate our polyamory desires earlier, so we don't end up hurting both of the people we love while they figure their shit out three months later after one of them almost dies.
