Hello,am i alone got this problem? on main menu fullscreen perfect no lines but just go ingame and half sceen turns into black lines on top and bottom :/ i got 1440x900 screen got this problem after 0.17.7 update i think
mine way bigger but only on top and bottom of screen it feels so weird when game is almost same size as black on screen :D but maybe its just on my end :/
1440x900 is a 16:10 resolution and CK is rendered out in 16:9, which would account for the black bars (though not sure why the main menu is rendering fine).
Unfortunately, Ren'py isn't a 3D game engine so adjustable resolutions aren't really possible. Best I can advise is to use windowed mode and then just manually expand the screen size by clicking and dragging on the corners or the window.
i dont know if it helps but found diffrence in log from other renpy novels, every other log have this "Screen sizes: virtual=(1920, 1080) physical=(1440, 900) drawable=(1440, 900)" but CK have "Screen sizes: virtual=(1280, 720) physical=(1440, 900) drawable=(1440, 900)"
Unfortunately that's not really anything - just shows that other novels use the default 1080p res whereas I use 720p. They're both 16:9 though so wouldn't account for the black bars :/

I can see your point and agree on some parts but i hope you agree that this is a step-up from the classic visual novels but, of course, this is the point of view of someone who usually stayed away from visual novel for the lack of decision and action.
But i agree this act is going pretty slow but is understandable since is experimenting, maybe this section is too big, looking at the map the creator planned a lot of different fight, and make all those is delaing the story progression.
Anyway mix some action and strategy with the eroge genre, for me, is a selling point wich differentiate the game from thousands of other identical ones.
On the one hand, it was pretty obvious back in act 1 that it might lead to this type of system. Even if it was still visnov style, it would honestly feel repetitive and stale once we got to the major conflicts and only kept to the visnov limited choice railroading.
On the other hand, it is still subject to change depending on what the dev intends to do. So for all we know it could still completely change again. Hell, it's still only in the first stage of it and has little actual content yet. That's why Arc has worked his ass off to provide what we have now lol. It's *a lot* of work.
Sorry the changes aren't for you - that's always a risk when trying something new, and unfortunately it's always going to turn some people off. There were the same complaints about the Explore system, the stats system, Shatter, the Nexus Keys, pregnancy... change is spooky!
I feel it's important, though, both from a mechanical as well as a personal growth perspective, to keep trying new things. Push at the edges of what I can do and see if I can somehow create something even better. Sometimes it works, sometimes it's a disaster, but if I just sit in a rut then what's the point?
Maybe you'll come back to CK in a while and with a new perspective and enjoy the changes or maybe you'll stay away forever. I hope it's the former; I would understand the latter. But either way, thanks for playing Corrupted Kingdoms and I wish you all the best in your future h-game playing :)
Is this the full version of the game? It's only 120 something megabytes and on the characters it says that I can't do anything more with them in this version of the game
I'm not sure where you're getting 120MB from, as the game is around 1.3GB at the moment. Perhaps you downloaded it a while back and the 120MB is the patch file size?
Either way, as people have mentioned already, the game is still currently in progress and (aside from the once-every-two-or-three-months weeklong break) is updated weekly :)
I dont know, i really loved your game up to end of chapter 2, it was a masterpiece! But with everything after... i am more and more disappointed. Sure, you had to rise the drama and everything was too easygoing for MC and i really hope your plot works out but right now the disappointment is growing. I appreciate the hours of work youve put in the battle system and it turned out cute but is booooring as f*ck. You gave us a whole school, a whole city, a whole country, even another realm to mess around with every female avaibiable and now MC cant even use his personal onahole Pixie anymore in his room? Almost all the rooms in the mansion are suddenly empty without explanaition? (Yeh sure they are out fighting somewhere, god knows where they sleep,..)

I half agree. I feel like Act 3 will be good once the dev gets the actual framework laid out. Feels like it should have been a bigger update before being rolled out. Nearly all the features being turned off pending updated assets was an odd choice. Like you said... why can't we sleep with or interact with most of the cast that is accounted for? We didn't need brand new dialogue/visuals for everything. The older stuff was a readymade placeholder.
The stuff being pushed back was initially caused by the act 3 update fully breaking the rest of the game. The dev even said how he had to rewrite chunks of the code because of it. And after working so hard on it, Arc is finally taking a break because it actually affected his health.
Ah, that all makes sense. I wasn't following the game at that point. Didn't really mean anything truly negative by my comment. It is unfortunate that they ran into enough bugs to affect their health in order to solve. But that still doesn't change that the current state of the end game feels very limiting compared to what we had become used to in Act1/Act2. I'm excited for Act 3 and look forward to what they do with it, but I won't pretend to be 'happy' with the current state of things haha. Hopefully them taking a break to recharge their batteries will inspire them to make even better things than they had planned to XD
Sadly it was necessary. I'm a solo dev and this is my first game. I promised everyone when I started that updates would be weekly, and aside from the (voted on) delay in getting the combat system in place I have stuck to that for over three years now.
Unfortunately there's a limit to what a solo dev can do with only a week to work on each update (especially taking bugfixing, community management, compiling, marketing, repos, tech support and life in general into consideration) and so I had to choose whether to break my promise or stick to it, even if it meant that Act Three started out very barebones. For better or worse, I chose to stick to my promise.
I completely understand players' frustration in going from the fleshed-out Act Two (which took two years to create) to the very sparse Act Three, though. Hopefully the promise and potential of Act Three keeps people going, but to those who are more annoyed than entertained I strongly advise pretending I'm one of those "update every four months" devs and checking back in on the game around June. Should be a lot more to do by then! ;)

it could possibly be due to the i3 integrated graphics if they don't have a standalone graphics card... that would be my literal only guess o.o it shouldn't be the low RAM, and I doubt much else would impact renpy etc
Typically it's just by finishing the quest line. If you've done that, try going through all dialog options again. Hell, some are even behind workout and challenge options.
Would need better explanation than Annie just doesn't show up. She could be in a different spot depending on time and what events you already triggered. Or she might legit be bugged :o

You have to progress with the personal quest line of annie (the cow girl). just follow the hints on her character profile and eventually she will give you permission to buy the farm.
When Arc originally tried to put in the Act 3 content, it broke a lot of the code. Including the UI code. So he had to redo chunks of the code, which is why the updates got delayed a couple weeks.
If I'm honest, right now I prefer to wait a month for you to put several places to conquer and improve some things, a week seems too little and too much time

And well I had a question regarding the stats of the MC, I see that to max out any stat it seems to need gems but I don't know how or where to use them or maybe if the upgrades will unlock later on the game

Need help with the 'the fey' quest, I only find a clue about Mia diary but the other clue. I can't find it the fact that I try use every power I have learnt and even explore every map *I also make sure that every character is pregnant*. Anyway for ppl who already finished the fey quest 1 where you have to find the clue and told the ppl inside the house that they lied about it, pls tell me where can I found other clue.
Are you talking about Ami's diary? You find it in her room in Morgana's demesne. Then you confront Dhena with it. After that you need to confront everyone else in Morgana's demesne with evidence that contradicts their testimony (getting the right person, with the right testimony, unlocks updated testimony which is used to confront the next person and so on) :)

You should be able to attack that place again to capture the boss girl. Then, you can attack the place under the manor for the second boss girls. That is as far as we can go in current version.
Hey I just uploaded the latest update and I noticed that the "dialogue box" has changed. But I'm getting this bug where the text isn't centered but begins from the center and goes all the way to the right side of the screen. I tried to restart the game and load different saves (even starting from the beginning doesn't help) but nothing changes.
On a sidenote, I also wanted to thank you and congratulate you for this game that is so awesome !

The dialogue being pushed to the right isn't a bug - it's to make room for the new paperdoll system, which is working in Act Three, and I will retroactively be working into Act One and Two over the course of the year. Sorry for the confusion!
Whereas it totally makes sense in Act Three, if you use this version of the game to play Acts One and Two or to watch H-Scenes, this dialogue box overlays exit buttons for exemple (you can click on them but they are hidden by the dialogue), and the text not being centered feels a bit weird in those previous scenes.
I find myself playing the game with older versions if I want to watch H-Scenes or just replay Acts One and Two... Maybe there's a way to activate the new UI only when Act 3 begins ?
The exit overlays in the demesnes should all be fixed for this week's update, and as mentioned above I'll be pushing the paperdoll system into acts One and Two over time. So hopefully that will solve the weirdness :)
I'm doing the Lyx magic event to practice Hidden Voices. I'm at the point where I need to use the power 5 times to advance. I used it on Veronica and Madison at the college. I then attempted to use it on the Quiet Girl in the library, but it showed Madison's thoughts again.
The Hidden Voices ability is a huge pain in my backside :P Sorry about that! The whole system is on my "do a thorough run-through and patch fix" list...

The UI could still use a bit of minor rearranging lol
but I guess it's mostly my OCD of it not being centered. This is on mobile btw, android note 22 ultra iirc.
Couple more examples, whete the dialog is just to the left instead of centered, or the choices just fully blocking the characters faces
And there are a couple that feel like it's to close to the bottom of the screen, hopefully nothing is cut off anywhere. In the words of Pixie:

It will balance out once you start unlocking new options. War Map, Wardrobe and Decoration buttons will appear on the left then :)

Unsure what you mean by black lines... mind you, the image I will use as my example is from mobile, so it could be different on PC.
the borders kinda have to be there for some of the menuing imo.

You need to build up your physical Stat

The gem icon is signifying the artifact in MC's chest that is technically limiting the MC for now. It won't come into play anytime soon afaik.
The only other district you can battle right now is just below the manor, there is really nothing else you can do until the next update.

I just attacked the first target in war then i can't attack anymore is that the final for this version?
You should be able to attack that place again to capture the boss girl. Then, you can attack the place under the manor for the second boss girls. That is as far as we can go in current version.
unlocked the War Room but i can't attack anyone unlike in the Last version, what's up with that?

Can you give me examples of specific instances where you feel the audio isn't working?
The only audio that i have is the music the rest i my audio players dont want open so im not sure what im doing wrong
i think is because the only sound in the game is the music?I don't think i never ear anything else.

Hey I just uploaded the latest update and I noticed that the "dialogue box" has changed. But I'm getting this bug where the text isn't centered but begins from the center and goes all the way to the right side of the screen. I tried to restart the game and load different saves (even starting from the beginning doesn't help) but nothing changes.
On a sidenote, I also wanted to thank you and congratulate you for this game that is so awesome !

The dialogue being pushed to the right isn't a bug - it's to make room for the new paperdoll system, which is working in Act Three, and I will retroactively be working into Act One and Two over the course of the year. Sorry for the confusion!
Whereas it totally makes sense in Act Three, if you use this version of the game to play Acts One and Two or to watch H-Scenes, this dialogue box overlays exit buttons for exemple (you can click on them but they are hidden by the dialogue), and the text not being centered feels a bit weird in those previous scenes.
I find myself playing the game with older versions if I want to watch H-Scenes or just replay Acts One and Two... Maybe there's a way to activate the new UI only when Act 3 begins ?
The exit overlays in the demesnes should all be fixed for this week's update, and as mentioned above I'll be pushing the paperdoll system into acts One and Two over time. So hopefully that will solve the weirdness :)
I'm having a moment that I can't tell if it's a bug or if i'm getting abysmal RNG day 70+ and I still haven't managed to meet the Aunt (Jessica?)

I'm doing the Lyx magic event to practice Hidden Voices. I'm at the point where I need to use the power 5 times to advance. I used it on Veronica and Madison at the college. I then attempted to use it on the Quiet Girl in the library, but it showed Madison's thoughts again.
The Hidden Voices ability is a huge pain in my backside :P Sorry about that! The whole system is on my "do a thorough run-through and patch fix" list...
