pls make this downloadable, im so addicted and have the goal of filling this board

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's not gonna happen.

I did some math for you and discovered:

Due to the exponential growth of the cost of the dice, even filling the top row of the board would take 50x 100-year lifetimes if every single spot on the board was giving you 1 million points per second :(

Filling 2 rows would take almost 9 sextillion of said lifetimes.

Row 3 is even worse.

EDIT: Thanks, Gak237. The game has been updated since I posted this, the cost scaling has been changed, so this is no longer true.

EDIT2: did some more math, if you are averaging 100,000 points per second, itll take about 48 days to complete the board. very doable.

EDIT3: nvm, the board has been resized as well. ignore everything I say. I will shut up now.

Is ok, still gonna attempt to see how much a month could do

This isn't true. The cost increase has a cap, so the increase becomes linear. It should only take a couple of days running the game to fill up the map, assuming you're checking up on the game every few hours to build stuff.

I've run into another problem though. I've reached a point where trying to move the camera makes the window shake uncontrollably. This is on the browser version so maybe it's different on the downloadable version.

Updated my post. The shaking could be caused by Godot... I remember reading somewhere in the documentation that Godot isnt designed to handle very large numbers of interacting instances. That said, I have not yet run into that problem.

Very good at drawing you in and enjoyable to create different arrangements to see what works best. The "3 in a row" upgrade really encourages interesting layouts. The exponential scaling of prices is great at first, but past a certain point it doesn't keep up with your point gain acceleration, so the game slows down to a halt. I'd've liked to see the prices cap out after the infinity dice, so that you can start to really go crazy and fill the entire board in the postgame; I think that'd also well display the effects of an ever growing factory, where eventually you might be able to buy dice as fast as you can play them. Really good job, well done.

it does stop scaling exponentially at some point, with the dice only increasing by 193 and the cups by 1381. You start to outscale them if you have an efficient layout and it makes expanding much easier.

Wonderful but make a save mechanic

thought about the same! this is a really nice cookie clicker variant

This is good fun - very Universal Paperclips / Spaceplan exponential idle game.

Really looking forward to some weird and wacky modifiers and perhaps a bit of satire/story in there like the above titles (although that's just my preference).

One improvement I might suggest is getting to the first 'purchase' other than the dice a bit quicker or a least have the next one greyed out as a carrot as I nearly quit the game early before getting to it.

This is make me addicted... nice concept at all..

At first I didn't think I'd enjoy this game that much, however after 40 minutes I could conclude that I am more eager to see a fully fleshed out version of this game, and my I could not get the sound of rolling dies out of my head. Bravo.

Love this so much! PLEASE ADD MORE!!!

I had fun trying to build the most efficient factory. More items would have been nice but I understand the difficulty of the time limit (our game suffered from it too

Great experience. Love all the "juice" around the effects of the dice, and the smoothness of being able to zoom, pan, and place freely. Definitely only negative is that it is too short in terms of available items and upgrades: but that's a standard negative for game jam games! Great start, and there would need to be some creative work done to figure out how to keep it engaging past a certain hour count, but as a beginning it's a fantastically polished demo.

oh god suddenly my need for sleep has been replaced with a need for expanding my dice factory.

Simple game, yet such addictive, you can play over and over

Agreed!

Really really like this. Could see it being super addictive if there was more to it. Reminds me of Idle Breakout.

Good game! I found this to be the best strategy: you automatically roll dices with the cubilets, but you have internal blocks of 5/6 so you can maximize the benefits when you get a 5 or 6, AND you don’t waste space by having a cubilet rolling two same dices.

I have enjoyed it!

This seems like a better layout actually, because if you roll either a 5 or a 6, it is tripled (so you need to interlace the chunks of 5 and those of 6). And you can also buy dices and put them on the edges to max out your chances of tripling dices

Smart

This game has started an addiction. Please help. I cannot stop.

I need more of this game. The dice sound is really good
