So far ive had a lot of fun playing this gae and cant wait for tye full release. I do have one suggestion: maybe add 2 more chests that you can choose at the beginning so you can get a heads up as a mage or archer as well?

well you used to be able to get differnt items at the beginning after you died by talking to the "mouse guru". I forgot his name, but they removed him.

Matthew? They didn't remove him, can start with his bonuses still. Iirc even on fresh save you can do that by pressing "M" but I'm not sure if thats still a thing, I do have an option to start run with his bonuses though.

I geuss it's just an issue with my saves then.

What happened with Seraph?

The shield icon seems to be using anti-aliasing while everything else isn't.
Just a small visual issue.
So far, game going great, keep the good work devs ;)

It seems like sometimes items can lose effects they receive from relics, very likely on reorganizing during combat. Just lost Shield Spirit effect on my shield and Frog Totem on the wand at the same time, was wondering why my weapons stopped trigger after reorganizing. It isn't critical for my particular setup as I was able to reorganize again and received stats back, but might kill many people otherwise by demanding 3 extra energy to fix it.
Also I've only noticed it now but it happened few times with wand and fluff relic before, I just had no idea why sometimes wand recovers 2 mana on use and sometimes it doesn't.

I've noticed that weapons dealing both normal and vampiric damage trigger spikes twice, which makes it a bit trickier to use vampirism as a means of mitigating spikes damage, even with Cleansing Flame. Is this the intended behavior?

I really enjoyed the game.. I am wondering why this is in the Deck Building category?

You can access all your items at any time and do not rely on a random drawing order as is the core of deck-building games: The luck or bad luck of getting the item you need when you need it..

Infact this is what makes the combats little exciting, as you can one-trick-pony almost all enemies, once you have a good build.

Again: I did enjoy it still :-)

We chose deck-building as it is the closest genre available. "Inventory management" isn't really a genre.

And we agree that some builds can be a bit static. We hope to improve this with more dynamic items and more varied characters in future updates.

Is it just me, or in this game you can take any items and assemble an imbalanced build? Like in this run i have 8 mana and killed the final boss in ONE turn. All you need is 2 arrows and Mouse wood from the first boss.

We're still working on the balance! But yes, archery is a little overpowered at the moment!

Despite this, the game is very interesting and fun. I'll be glad to play the full version when it comes out :)

To be fair, you have an awesome energy build that would be rare to assemble as shallow as depth 9.

Ah, because i get 2 gold for every kill, i farmed like 150 and then i got lucky with wheel of fortune which gave me these 3 rings. The problem is that this is my second run and on my first one i got an OP build with 16 rage on turn one and killed boss too. So its hard to get the same build, but you will probably get a different one.

PLEASE add a way to exit to main menu in game. Having to restart only by dying or entirely closing the game is incredibly infuriating

Saving isn't working- it just says "save failed", and sure enough, it doesn't save.

Hmm, is it just me or the game is not saving properly these days? I got returned to the tutorial without getting the dying benefits every single run. I tried out like 2 different browsers, with and without incognito but still get the 'not saved'. Clicking the 'Save game' button does not change anything either. The stats does look normal and it registers my deaths. Maybe I will manage to find a solution, but for now I basically get -10 hp for this.

Final build for me, with +1 rage cleaver& +2 haste mirror shield.

By the way, there's a shortcut to stack up the shield : with haste, the ninja armour doesn't clear it (-100%), but multiples (+n*100%) in turn. I wonder it's a bug or a feature, pretty convenient still.

to try out a mage build very fun

New personal best, I'm still learning the game. Cleavers are great but in deeper floors fall flat, I was waiting for better cleavers but they never show up. I had crazy defense but venom snakes ended my run.

Tryed out a cleaver run it was pretty fun

This was a very silly build, but I enjoyed finally milking letters for all their worth. You can move them as many times as you want in the same turn and, provided they're still adjacent to the same weapon, their bonuses stack. You can even reorganize to reset them mid-turn if you have enough energy to spare!

Level 80 and still going strong. It took me several runs to get this build going.Im not sure whether crimson or the curses are better in the long run. Btw battle animations take forever at this point. It would be great to have an option for turning combat animations off.

wow! how do you handle things with spikes-on-hit like blademasters with the cleavers?

I'm guessing the candle reduced the spikes

Two things: the candle and haste on shields to stack up defence before going hard on them. The king is the most challenging because of haste as well. I rearrange the cleaver to use one with shield and the rest to hit hard and kill spawns

lost at floor 17! could you add toggable autofire on a button, like right click? saves a lot of clicks in ring-of-doom builds.

I really love this game - tons of fun! I'm so sad that my saves constantly end up looking like this... I think it'll be fixed eventually. When I play, I come and go all day long, which means relying on the save file. Going to the kickstarter to support now! :)

At two Shady Traders in a row, I traded a Wizard Cap for another Wizard Cap. Then again a few Traders later.

why are there two different types of keys? they do the same thing.

ninja costume gives you block when you have haste instead of removing 100% of your block

I just lost trying to do a pacifist run. It wasn't to my build being weak. Instead, I lost my run to the snakes that quite literally do not attack. Just curious if it's possible to beat that fight without weapons as my spikes build got decimated to their poison.

did you try scratching? that for some reason doesn't count as a weapon

Managed to get to floor 35 with some nice archery stuff where I died unceremoniously to the last enemy before the magma core boss (ran out of energy consumables). Mouse wood scales incredibly well with extra energy, so I would just burst down every enemy/boss on turn 1 using the emerald necklaces and avoid having to block entirely. 

On a sadder note, save functionality is entirely broken for me, so I've basically stopped playing for now. Long Endless runs can take me hours so not being able to take a break and load saves later is too punishing. Can't even visit Matthew anymore. :'( 

Love this game though! Can't wait for it to be downloadable and excited for extra difficultly levels.

Badger Boss dropped sad relics and the Fire Geckos claimed my loot - not enough cheese to match their scaling ( ′~‵ )

shouldn't seasoning count as a consumable

No, It is annoying when you missclick/misstap and destroy your consuable build

Yeah but it doesn’t do anything when you have relics that affect consumables, you can’t get the extra damage from it being adjacent to your weapon and you also can’t get it by trading in a consumable for a rarer consumable in the event

I now cannot save my game, I keep getting "Save failed" and can't progress at the start of the next floor. This bug persists even if I start a new run. What a shame.

Yes, there is only so many saves/loads you can do before game cannot save anymore, and can even corrupt your last save like it happened to me when i loaded game with half of the inventory shown and being unable to do anything.

I was able to run new games though, no problem with progressing the floors normally. It just keep saying "Save failed" so I kinda have to do it in true roguelike style :D

First of all, congrats on getting past the funds that you guys wanted on your kickstarter. This is an amazing game with lots of potential and I'm happy to see it grow. Now to the image, this is the longest I could go. I don't know if this was intended but heavy items can't fall if an anchored item is below them.

anchors are heavy (yes i didn't know that too) so heavy items won't fall if there is an anchored item + if anchored items didn't support heavy items they would be able to be removed by squishing them

Welp, guess that couldn't be any better of a start lmao. Got soldier's buckler floor 1 and everything else on floor 2, build is almost online for beating first 9 floors :D

lol, to get that and meet 2 snakes at the very end of the magma core. we really need something to deal with that poison bs, beside the potion that removes everything from you (also i'd need 3 of them because there is 3 snake fights on the floor).

legit just ran into that fight with a pacifist full armor no weapon build. It went fantastic as now I'm in the comments asking if there was a way to beat it weaponless.
