awesome, is amazing and... free!

Hi Pipoya, how can I purchase the 48×48 sprites found here https://pipoya.net/sozai/assets/pipoyafriends-charachip/pipoyafriends-charachip_...

Does this work on GameMaker Studio 2 (free edition)?

Thank you for your question.
I don't know because I don't have GameMaker Studio 2, but if you can load PNG images, you can use it.

@Pipoya This can be used with RPG Maker MZ as well, right?

Thank you for your comment.

Yes, it can be used with RPG Maker MZ and others. However, please note that the characters are smaller (32x32) than the standard size (48x48) of RPG Maker MZ.

According to their twitter MZ is getting an update soon which will allow for 32x32 tilesets!

I look forward to seeing that feature implemented!

As for the size of the character sprites, I don't think there were any size restrictions even today, so I think 32x32 could have been used. I was concerned that if they were to be used with 48x48 size ones, they would be uncomfortable and we would need to standardize the size of one or the other.

This is totally amazing!!!

Is there any chance it could get upscaled to 64x64/128x128 easily?

Thank you for your comment.

If you want something that upscales pixels in fine detail rather than simply upscaling, this is the way to go. English is also supported.

I am considering adopting it in a program I have created, but I have no plans to add that functionality at this time.

Sorry. Perhaps you meant a simple upscale? Implementation was easy, so I added it. In the next update.

This is pure gold, I will have a lot of fun with the generator, one of the best tools I ever used!

Thank you for your comment.
I'm glad you like it. I'm also working on a new generator program, so stay tuned! There is also a post effect to make it gold.

Thanks for the awesome assets... here is where i used them...

You used it in three different games! Thank you! I'm glad you like it.

I really appreciate the time you took to make these assets! The generator is super helpful! I'm obsessed with some of the characters I've generated with it- it's got me thinking of lots of different game ideas.

I'm extrapolating from these assets to make more actions, such as jumping, attacking, and dodging. I've already finished modifying the base skin to add jump and slash. I plan to make my own character generator in Godot (I know talk is cheap, haha). I've got to hammer out more artwork first, though.

EDIT: I finished the art to extend the standing pose to 8 directions. Now I just need to draw clothes and matching animations. If you'd be interested in any of this, I'd be glad to send it to you.

Thank you for your comment.

I'm glad you enjoyed the character generation. Please feel free to edit your character to fit your game. Your plan for your own generator software using Godot is also great. I am also learning Godot, but I am not making much progress. You made it to 8 directions as well. Excellent! Yes, I would like to see it, please send it to this email address. You may use any other method that is convenient for you. I'm looking forward to it.

Sent it- the subject line of the email is: 8 directions RPG Character Sprite Base

Thanks for sending me an email so quickly!

Can't be made to fit RMMZ, by any chance?

Thank you for your comment.
Unfortunately, we don't plan to make them in the size of RMMZ or MV.

Splendid pack!! It's helping me a ton to develop the basis of my game =D

I have a question about the generator. I altered some colors and I would like to reset them back to the original ones, but each time I open it it seems to have saved everything and I don't know how to get the default options back.

I would really appreciate if you knew the answer.

Wonderful work nonetheless. I love it so much!

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you like this asset.

To reset the color change information in the generator, there is a shortcut key: press Ctrl + R.

Oh goodness, thank you so much! This is so very useful.

I'm enjoying your content immensely. Keep up with the good work!

Hey! I really liked your content and used it in my game for a university subject, I put you in my credits.

Thanks for the comment!
I'm honored to be able to help you with your university subject!

I'm so glad the CharacterManaJ works now, I've been working on some alternate hair colors and so far have a shade of red, blue, 2 greens. I added 3 outfits, an ear, and a hat. I have 2 more hair styles as well (been working on making pixelated Priconne characters and made Hatsune and Rino hairstyles) And I added an alternate Bow. I don't know if you would be interested in these additional assets to share Pipoya, but If you do I would be happy to pass them along.

Wow, that's great! Thank you! I've been wondering if it would be possible for everyone to make parts of this. I'm so glad you did it. Thanks for the suggestion too! I would love to do this. However, if you have a character as a model, and that character is very unique, I may not be able to share it. I searched for characters to model, and I don't think there's anything wrong with the hairstyle. I'm looking forward to it!

How would I share them to you?

I just sent them to in a compressed file.

Thank you!

I have just confirmed that I have your email in my mailbox. It will be a little later, but I will check the data as well and reply to you. Can't wait to see the data! Thank you so much!

The post with the email address has been deleted.

How much will it take to get you to make a sword animation for them
:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Thanks for the comment.
I'm sorry, but I'm not accept individual paid requests for this asset. I would like to keep it as open data, so if the content is useful to everyone, I will update it for free. However, this will be when I have time to spare. What kind of sword animation do you need? If you have a reference, please let me know.

Gotcha understood. I just wanted to test out a simple sword swipe animation. A 180 degree sword swing at the hip, if that makes sense. But really anything you actually want to do would be awesome.

I see. How about something like this GIF animation? It is not possible to add special poses to characters, but it is possible to add animations for items only, such as swords. If there are no problems, I would like to consider these specifications.

Hey  sorry for such the longgggg delay in Reponses. But yeah this is isn't too bad, i would to see how it looks in game!

Thank you so much! I've haven't found a single character pack as amazing as this! Can you please provide and .xml file? Thanks :)

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
What kind of content do you need in the .xml file? I don't understand the .xml file, because if it is included in CharacterManaJ, it is created from the program.

Character Generator Program - PIPOYA FREE RPG Character Sprites 32x32 by pipoya
https://pipoya.itch.io/pipoya-free-rpg-character-sprites-32x32/devlog/108932/character-generator-program

The .xml file i'm looking for is the kind that tells you where the sprites' coordinates are. have any of them?

I see, that's what you meant. There is no .xml file created for spritesheets. The game engine I usually use recognizes this image as an animated character, so I have never created an .xml file.

Oh, then I'll just use the 32x32 thing.

Thanks so much for these assets.

I created android game with the Japanese school characters great.

I added credit in the game (link to https://pipoya.itch.io/)

Congrats on the game release! I'm glad I could be of help. Thanks for the credit too!

Boa sorte!

How to make enemies attack? There is no attack animation.Nice sprites but.

Thanks for the comment!
Unfortunately there are no plans to add attack animations. It's not the best way, but I think it would look like attacking by looking for assets for slashing effects and displaying them in combination.

Nice Idea thanks.I wanted to make first person 2d Retro style dungeon crawler and this seemed best asset for me.Thanks!

Glad to have been helpful.
I hope the game you make will be the best one!
