Hi there! Finally the Pepper & Carrot jam is over, and I can finally share my submission here:
It's called Pepper & Carrot - Potion of Flight, and it's a simple & cozy exploration game where you play as Pepper, a young witch, exploring, flying around and hunting the forest for ingredients to create potions.
It's been a great challenge to create a small yet hopefully interesting game in this super nice universe. I really love the original webcomic and I've been wanting to create a game from it for a long time, so this jam was the perfect occasion.
I've really worked hard on it, and especially on the art direction; I wanted to have some kind of hand-painted feel, and I designed some shaders specifically to somehow embed/simulate brushstrokes in the 3D rendering. Not perfect, but I sense it could go somewhere interesting with some additionnal work.
I also had a blast working on tools for the massive vegetation rendering and trying new optimized methods for handling it. I might end up upgrading these tools for my future projets. I think I could push them even further.
Anyways, I hope you'll like it!
Oh, and I've tried to build for Linux, but couldn't test it, so don't hesitate to tell me if something's wrong (or right hopefully!)
