Hi all!
The Ascension update was released yesterday! I also wanted to officially announce that the full version is out, as well as reveal the upcoming content.

I want to talk about the future of the game as well as content you can expect to come in the full.
A new currency that can be gained through offline progress allows you to power up your turtle and purchase special items in the Dreamsand shop. This will replace the existing offline progress, which can be random for a lot of people depending on your progression stage. Aside from one-time items, you can even get direct stat boosts to your turtle.
I plan to improve ascension in the very next update, and roll out new ascension skills as time goes. If you have ideas, let me know! Here are some ideas by me and the community that are being developed. Level 1 effects:
And an ultimate ascension skill which will be kept secret for now...
Goat on a Boat, Sleepy Sheep, Professor Quack, Wispie, Owl, Duck... more companions, each with a new unique ability, will come!
New bosses that drop Corals appear every 100m after 500m. These will have a special appearance and also have the ability to rage - take too long to kill them and they will grow in power! However, maybe you will get a new companion that can suppress their rage... and maybe even a companion that can stun them.
I want the game to have a conclusive ending. This is not going to be an endless incremental where numbers rise infinitely.
Story messages show after each ascension skill unlocked. Once you have collected all 5 story messages, the option to begin the Final Ascension appears, and upon finishing it, you win the game. As reward, you unlock 'Hidden Power', the final ascension skill.
Improved visuals for damage numbers. Chomp and Blinding Fury, plus Cannon attacks, will each receive their own damage styling to differentiate between the different damage sources.
Perhaps you can send companions on expeditions, or give them mining equipment to mine for artifacts to equip on them.
I'm excited and look forward to bringing you so much more stuff in the weeks to come!
In the near-term:
v0.31 will release tomorrow (Wednesday), v0.32 on Thursday and v0.33 on Friday, which is when the Demo officially releases on Steam!
