Important Update For UMDO+Aplogy For Rushed Release.


IMPORTANT STATUS UPDATE FOR UMDO!!!!

For anyone wanting an update, I rushed the progress of UMDO last time and released a small episode than I thought I had accidentally overwritten my project with another project and it nearly made me give up on it. But it is with the utmost excitement and astonishment that I inform you that I was wrong, or by some miracle it was reversed...I say this because I opened it up again just now to try and replace everything that had been overwritten by using things from an older backup and to my suprise there was absolutely nothing wrong with anything within UMDO DB which is the main project location. So I swear to you here and now, I shall continue working on it and I shall figure out how TF to get Multiplayer setup correctly and have it working. Than, as an added bonus, and you may or may not like this....I'll hold out on releasing any incomplete builds until you have a fully fleshed out story thats literally a full length game! That is my solemn vow to you all!

So again, I nor UL+ Nor Deadly Cats Productions have a release date for you, especially since we had all thought the data was essentially done for....but I'll try to release a full length game by the end of 2025 or...even sooner than that, just set your expectations to sometime in 2025. Be mindful that it is just me working on this, I have a guy who does my maps...but thats really it...and its just us. So please, bear with us. It'll take a while but I assure you it will get done and I am going to pick up where I left off.

To make up for rushing the development and releasing Episode 1...which I am very sorry about...I will make up for it with some DLCs, a fully fleshed out and complete storyline and more items and gear as well as having more discoverable items on each map and such. I think you'll all really appreciate the effort I'll be putting into all this. I also plan on returning to my roots as far as classes go, and will add a good number of classes But ofcourse, the primary class will always be Battle Mage. I will also be making an Ace Of All Trades type class either called Hero or Champion which can use any type of weapon or item/gear and is able to use any type of skill. This feature may take some time to develop...but I think you'll like it far better than being forced to use only Battle Mage and magic. I don't even remember how it was handled in Episode 1's release, I probably just did the Champion class so players could use any and everything. But this time you'll have a more in depth class system and I'm gonna make an immersive way to learn skills and such, simply by studying/training. It'll be very simple and fairly straight forwards because to unlock the next level of a spell you simply buy the book for that spell and read it, like in the Elder Scrolls or many other RPGs and for Training to learn a skill I think I'll add Trainers or Guild Masters or whatever to the game that can train you in certain skills. Another neat feature I'll be adding is a Status Feature, but it'll simply run a Common event that shows a sort of character Sheet type of thing with your stats and stuff on it via text. These will be separate from the normal stats of course and will use Variables and Switches to keep track of everything, should be fairly simple. I am also gonna try and have my friend make me a ton of maps such as routes and such and rather than forcing you to use the Translocation Crystal there will be two more possibilities, travel via walking and exploration as if it were open world and Travel via a train system. I will try and use custom Icons for my stats if I can too, but only for certain ones.
