Sound sucks

This week i have been adding sound effects to abilities in the game.  I find myself very frustrated with the limited functionality of sound manipulation in unreal engine.  For the most part you can just upload a sound and then you can play it, not much in between.  I haven't really solved this problem, it's more that I've resigned myself to the fact that the sound effects won't be that great.
