I haven't played this game in a looong while, and came back to it to check out the updates, seeing the character redesigns and whatnot intrigued me. However it seems like my game still just has all the characters as they were with their og names, sprites, and a full gallery. I'm pretty sure it's up-to-date, and I tried reinstalling it, starting a new save, so on so forth, but can't seem to get the new-ish content to show. Any ideas?
Everyone other than Brigitte and Morrison should have new names. And only Reina (prev. Sombra) has the redesign right now. What version are you on exactly?
I sorted out the issue, I needed to completely uninstall and reinstall, not just hit the "reinstall" button provided in the itch launcher. Got it all working properly now

Anybody else ever think that Overwatch, like League of Legends, might actually make for a better TV series than a video game? Arcane was surprisingly good, and I always thought it would blow me away. I'd honestly be over the moon if they made an Overwatch Netflix series or something like that.
Anyways, this game looks great, I'll try it later, but for now, I'm in transit, DL'ing anything is a bitch and a half ATM, not even gonna bother with that uphill slog. Looking forward to it though.

Blizzard always were quite good when it comes to delivering amazing cinematic trailers, similar to great music videos Riot Games put out. It's only fair to draw a comparison between them and have an interest in seeing characters from their universe in different medium, such as animated TV show or a movie. I'd say we are more or less on board with an idea, but considering how poorly Blizzard treater lore-part of their game, it's hard to actually say that I'd personally be hyped to see animated series based on their games. Still, would be fucking cool
Also, don't worry about animals in our game! As of right now, there are none, because we kinda never thought of adding any, but if we ever do, we won't allow any harm to come their way!

A bit mixed regarding the redesigns and renames (although I absolutely understand the rationale and the factors that played a part in them), but the art still looks absolutely fantastic! I wonder if there'll ever be a patch or an option to somehow go back to the Overwatch variants though, as it would be a shame to have those assets go to waste haha.

Right now Reina (Sombra) and Yun (Mei) are finished, Aurelie's (Widow) route is not finished but had a satisfying conclusion to her ark, so that's worth a play too.
Next month Freja (Brigitte) will be getting an Epilogue to her route, although the main story line is technically also done. And Ava (DVa) will be getting a Finale at the beginning of next year!
Right now we are working on an Overhaul Update, which we will push to release next year. It will include LOTS of changes, and since it's so huge that's why it requires so much time.
So if you are a free player — wait for Aurelie's (Widow) Part 4 to go public and play the game, which should happen in around 2 weeks.
Right now it's probably the best time to play to truly appreciate the Overhaul Update once it goes live.
In regard to patch that will revert the changes to their design, sadly we can't do that due to potential legal issues. That being said, Reina's redesign was the only one that you can call somewhat drastic, with the rest of the cast receiving only minor adjustments. On top of that, we will revert some of the changes to Reina's design to bring her closer to the look our players are familiar with.
Hi huge fan of your game. I haven't played this game in a while I'm just wondering why I have lost a lot of my gallery and why most of the characters names have changed.
Due to legal reasons we decided to change the names and designes of the characters so they'd look more original and weren't a straight up property of Blizzard. They still resemble the characters, just have other names.
And this name change is the reason why the gallery got wiped — Ren'py really didn't like what we did and since it's very dependant on the name it wipes the gallery if using older save. If you are playing on PC you can use the Konami code in the main menu (use your keyboard to type 🢁 🢁 🢃 🢃 🢀 🢂 🢀 🢂 🅱️ 🅰️ and you will unlock the full gallery).
Also with the overhaul update we will add a function to change the names to whatever you want!
Hey there! Just downloaded the game today for the first time on Android.
I can get thru to where Morrison tells you the girls and guys are splitting up, right in the beginning. When the dialog goes away, I am left looking at the empty parking lot not sure what to do. I tried opening the world icon, then it crashed when i closed that menu. After replaying to that point, i opened the main menu instead, but the game crashed when pressing back to close the main menu. I had managed to save tho, so I tried to load the file, was back at the empty parking lot. I pressed the back button from the parking lot this time-- still crashed. It's the same error code each time:

I can only said... WHAT AN AMAZING AND LOVELY PIECE OF GAME YOU HAVE MADE! I know is still so much to do but so far, the writing, the storytelling, the world building... Man, even the Protagonist feels like a somebody instead of the normal "You are the Protagonist", very much like it. Yun's Route and Ava's has been my favorites, but I also love all interactions with Andre, such a lovely character. I will support this project in any ways I can, because is worthy.
All of them will be changed, we just didn't decide on some at the moment the update was released, so characters like Brigitte and Morrison still use their original names. It will be fixed in upcoming patches, along with an option to manually change the names to your liking we are planning to add into settings menu.

You need to talk to Reina cause she gives you x-ray by completing her tasks of finding Jammers.
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a chained side quest and when you get LVL0 x-ray you are supposed to use it to find Jammer in the parking lot and bring it to Reina.
Then she will ask you to find the second Jammer, it will be in the Pool area, and the Third one will be in the Classroom.
Honestly love everything about this game, amazing story and worldbuilding. 10/10 characters and even the redesign for Sombra was great imo, im rofl at clyde though thats the funniest possible name you couldve gave him!🤣
We got a lot of comments on Tiktok regarding his name. People really didn't like McCree... And we didn't like Cassidy. So we decided to find some middle ground and Clyde McCarty sounded like a good choice :D
Haha, it's our bad, we fucked up the layering on one of the pictures and the hair doesn't show up, it's fixed in the Aurelie Closed Beta and soon will be available to the public.
Honestly, I was like, what?? But then was like... You know, it actually looks natural on her... (can't recall in OW she's also bald, but I gladly accept if is corrected later on, to have her on the gallery)
so, i do have one issue, mightve been resolved here before but i havent seen it (i mightve just glazed over it), so i saved then quit and closed my laptop, and had maybe 8 pages of the gallery (uncompleted but with most of reina’s market) and when i loaded the save, all of it was gone except for the andre, sonya, and ava scenes, can i get them again or am i just fucked
Oh, it's our fuck up... Because of the name change the gallery started behaving weird and randomly got wiped most of the time. On a Laptop you can use the Konami code in the main menu to unlock it.

im having a problem, i just did the Reina Questline and now my objective is to check up on her during the day. But for me its night and when i try to sleep Clyde just tells me that i still need do talk to reina. Is there a solution for this?
After playing through the story so far, Andre is without a doubt the best character (which is weird to say about an overwatch focused cast) but she is my love and i need more (seriously though you guys do great work love the writing and keep it up)

Yeah, we didn't want Blizzard to strike us down so that's why we changed the designs and names.
We will revisit Reina's design and bring it a little closer to her original look, but it will take some time, and we want to prioritize new content for the remaining two months this year. Next year though, it will be our priority.
Since the project grew considerably large — the possibility of a 'cease and desist' letter from Blizzard grew too. So we decided not to take any chances and that we want to keep the project afloat as long as we can.
And the name changes and redesigns was the approach we chose to make sure the game could be counted as an original project, though still inspired by Overwatch.
This update is everything you dreamed of: 🔸 Hot new scenes with some extra "seasoning" 🤌 🔸 Lots of new amazing dialogue! 🔸 Chris gets what he deserves!

While I understand the reasoning behind it, and I can't put any blame for it on you guys, I will still relay my concerns.
I really hate the redesign for Sombra. You made me love the character you made out of her, fleshed out and made both believable and endearing.
While I perfectly understood the changes are purely in the name and appearances, I really don't like it. The name is fine, but I'm really not into the new appareance.
Despite all that, I still think you guys are putting out some incredible work, for free and everyone as a plus. I can't thank you enough for that, but as a fan and a player, I still wanted to tell you my concerns.
I know it won't change much, and I'm okay with that, but I wanted to voice myself.
Love you guys, all the courage of the world for your team.
We've been thinking a lot about the changes we made to Sombra, and we are planning to revert some of her design aspects back. She will keep that curvy latina body, because YOU CAN'T MAKE ME REVERT THE THICCNESS BACK, but some elements, such as hair and makeup will be changed to resemble her original look more.
It will still be few month before we make those changes, because redrawing even small elements on 100+ pics that she has, including dialogue sprites, is a lot of work.
That being said, we took feedback of our community to the heart, which is why Aurelie (Widow) didn't get any changes whatsoever, and Freja (Brig) and Ava (Dva) will get minimal changes to the most recognizable aspects of their design. I have attached pictures of their updated designs below!
All in all, we plan to stay true to our "parody" nature, and you shouldn't expect any more "Reina-sized" changes in the future.
There's around 8-10 hours of content if you actually read through it, and around 40-50 scenes overall, with dozen of variations (skins) available for some of them.
We can't give any dates, but he's in the works. We just really want our first gay route to be right, you know?
Since Young never wrote gay stuff, he's looking for the right approach on this and we don't want to hurry things up just to end up with the *meh* route, that we will have to rewrite later.
I havent played since .13 and just updated to .17 recently. When i entered the hero gallery nearly every scene was missing. Is this because y'all are changing models now?
Funnily enough, it's because of the name change. RenPy (our engine) really didn't like that. We added an option to unlock all scenes via a click of a button in the settings, but the public version with this feature will be available in couple of weeks. You can also use the Konami code in the main menu, which will do the same thing, but only on the PC version.
We tried to find a solution that will restore gallery, but we only managed to figure out how to prevent it in the future.
im having a problem, for the kamilah route it says attend lititure, (i suck at english sorry) but, everytime on friday i attend it doesn;t let me contiinue just keeps saying attend
Yes! It's currently in development and it will overhaul the entire map of the game, adding new locations, replacing existing backgrounds with much higher quality version and more.
This update is PACKING with new content: 🔸 Clown on Chris! Literally. 🔸 New spicy scenes with a nice touch of sweet REVENGE. 🔸 Beware, Young went all out for this update!

I just cant get the x-ray to work i click on a girl and it shows a close up but i cant do anything after that
What do you mean? You are getting stuck in the x-ray interface and can't close it?
no i can go back and forth (main view and close up with x-ray enabled) but the x-ray box dose not render the second image if you get what i mean

Level 0 is a a joke one, showing only feet
Level 1 shows them without clothes but in their underwear
Level 2 shows full naked
You need to talk to Reina cause she gives you x-ray by completing her tasks of finding Jammers.
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a chained side quest and when you get LVL0 x-ray you are supposed to use it to find Jammer in the parking lot and bring it to Reina.
Then she will ask you to find the second Jammer, it will be in the Pool area, and the Third one will be in the Classroom.

Yeah, to clean the gallery on pc — delete the persistent file in:
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\ACADEMY34-v0.2.3\
And delete persistent in:
[Academy34 Folder]\game\saves\

Honestly love everything about this game, amazing story and worldbuilding. 10/10 characters and even the redesign for Sombra was great imo, im rofl at clyde though thats the funniest possible name you couldve gave him!🤣
We got a lot of comments on Tiktok regarding his name. People really didn't like McCree... And we didn't like Cassidy. So we decided to find some middle ground and Clyde McCarty sounded like a good choice :D

Haha, it's our bad, we fucked up the layering on one of the pictures and the hair doesn't show up, it's fixed in the Aurelie Closed Beta and soon will be available to the public.
Honestly, I was like, what?? But then was like... You know, it actually looks natural on her... (can't recall in OW she's also bald, but I gladly accept if is corrected later on, to have her on the gallery)
so, i do have one issue, mightve been resolved here before but i havent seen it (i mightve just glazed over it), so i saved then quit and closed my laptop, and had maybe 8 pages of the gallery (uncompleted but with most of reina’s market) and when i loaded the save, all of it was gone except for the andre, sonya, and ava scenes, can i get them again or am i just fucked
Oh, it's our fuck up... Because of the name change the gallery started behaving weird and randomly got wiped most of the time. On a Laptop you can use the Konami code in the main menu to unlock it.

I accidently pressed on start a new game and was trying to get to my save file but I ended up deleting it- Is there anyway I can get that back? I've already been so far in without getting to the new content.
Damn, if you deleted it via game and it doesn't show up anymore then it's probably gone...
After downloading the new update almost everything in my gallery got deleted, is there any way to recover it?
On PC you can use Konami code - it will fully unlock the gallery and bring back everything that was deleted due to the bug connected to name change.
On the phone — please wait for the next public release, it will have a special button that unlocks the gallery.

im having a problem, i just did the Reina Questline and now my objective is to check up on her during the day. But for me its night and when i try to sleep Clyde just tells me that i still need do talk to reina. Is there a solution for this?

After playing through the story so far, Andre is without a doubt the best character (which is weird to say about an overwatch focused cast) but she is my love and i need more (seriously though you guys do great work love the writing and keep it up)

Yeah, we didn't want Blizzard to strike us down so that's why we changed the designs and names.
We will revisit Reina's design and bring it a little closer to her original look, but it will take some time, and we want to prioritize new content for the remaining two months this year. Next year though, it will be our priority.

Since the project grew considerably large — the possibility of a 'cease and desist' letter from Blizzard grew too. So we decided not to take any chances and that we want to keep the project afloat as long as we can.
And the name changes and redesigns was the approach we chose to make sure the game could be counted as an original project, though still inspired by Overwatch.

While I understand the reasoning behind it, and I can't put any blame for it on you guys, I will still relay my concerns.
I really hate the redesign for Sombra. You made me love the character you made out of her, fleshed out and made both believable and endearing.
While I perfectly understood the changes are purely in the name and appearances, I really don't like it. The name is fine, but I'm really not into the new appareance.
Despite all that, I still think you guys are putting out some incredible work, for free and everyone as a plus. I can't thank you enough for that, but as a fan and a player, I still wanted to tell you my concerns.
I know it won't change much, and I'm okay with that, but I wanted to voice myself.
Love you guys, all the courage of the world for your team.
We've been thinking a lot about the changes we made to Sombra, and we are planning to revert some of her design aspects back. She will keep that curvy latina body, because YOU CAN'T MAKE ME REVERT THE THICCNESS BACK, but some elements, such as hair and makeup will be changed to resemble her original look more.
It will still be few month before we make those changes, because redrawing even small elements on 100+ pics that she has, including dialogue sprites, is a lot of work.
That being said, we took feedback of our community to the heart, which is why Aurelie (Widow) didn't get any changes whatsoever, and Freja (Brig) and Ava (Dva) will get minimal changes to the most recognizable aspects of their design. I have attached pictures of their updated designs below!
All in all, we plan to stay true to our "parody" nature, and you shouldn't expect any more "Reina-sized" changes in the future.
The sketches look great and close enough to the original that I wouldn't mind those.
Also, thicc latina is good civ. Thank you for your answer and all your work again.
How early is the current version?
There's around 8-10 hours of content if you actually read through it, and around 40-50 scenes overall, with dozen of variations (skins) available for some of them.
I saw on your tt that cassidy is coming, when is he coming?
We can't give any dates, but he's in the works. We just really want our first gay route to be right, you know?
Since Young never wrote gay stuff, he's looking for the right approach on this and we don't want to hurry things up just to end up with the *meh* route, that we will have to rewrite later.
I havent played since .13 and just updated to .17 recently. When i entered the hero gallery nearly every scene was missing. Is this because y'all are changing models now?
Funnily enough, it's because of the name change. RenPy (our engine) really didn't like that. We added an option to unlock all scenes via a click of a button in the settings, but the public version with this feature will be available in couple of weeks. You can also use the Konami code in the main menu, which will do the same thing, but only on the PC version.
We tried to find a solution that will restore gallery, but we only managed to figure out how to prevent it in the future.

Yes! It's currently in development and it will overhaul the entire map of the game, adding new locations, replacing existing backgrounds with much higher quality version and more.
