This was a 10/10 all around! HOF Voice Actors, W Story with INSANE PLOT TWISTS! For sure my favorite indie horror game... I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS THIS LONG, but it was worth it! Got me with a couple scares but THE FINAL PIN is a classic. Great work JordiBoi!

I saw CallmeKevin as a voice actor and I HAD to play. But when I got to the interrogation room and started talking to him, mid way through the cutscene when asking about the night Carlos died, it suddenly took me to the main menu screen and there was no continue game option. I REALLY really liked the game up until that part, now I need to replay the whole thing to get back to where I was which is a bit annoying, BUT I really liked the parts I got to play

The story is great, the atmosphere is perfect and the sound is very well done!
I would like to see some accessibility options, like the camera flash being reduced for the people who are sensitive to flashing lights, however other than that, I have no real criticism about this game.
A bug I did encounter however, was that if you reverse your car, it seems to just speed up quite a bit, Big Rigs style xD

I applaud that JordiBoi successfully put together a game that is functional; tells a generally well-executed, albeit very trope-laden story; and has a bunch of presumably popular YouTubers I don't recognize (besides CallMeKevin and Jacob Geller) doing voices for characters without them being jarringly out of place (save for Berleezy, but I didn't mind). I genuinely look forward to how the developer's work progresses over time. I just hope that they get enough criticism to help them learn to make things that are more palatable.
I'm gonna be honest, about 40% of the game could have just not been there, and I think it would have been a better experience for it. Lots of inconsequential stuff like driving in a straight line, walking down long hallways, the entirety of the trailer park "puzzles," I could name so many times when events happened that were totally unnecessary and added nothing. I was very close to quitting, several times, because the pacing was so dreadfully slow for so long.
I get that this was going for an interactive story more than a typical game, and to that I would say that there's nothing wrong with omitting gameplay if it doesn't really add anything to the experience. The race through the sewer? That was good. It added tension to the scene without taking me out of it. Turning the valves in the sewer to turn off the steam? That was pointless. The mechanic wasn't reused in an instance of being under pressure, so there was no reason to teach the player about it in a non-threatening place. Pulling the trigger on the gun at the end? Thematic, adds weight to the moment. The literal Resident Evil puzzle a few minutes beforehand? Felt completely out of place. Worst of all, the photography thing had no real payoff at all. It was yet another throwaway mechanic that didn't need to be there.
Let me be clear, while I was very much tired of playing the game over 20 minutes before it was complete, this is not a terrible game. It's simply amateurish, which is fine. It's leagues better than a lot of Unity schlock on Itch and Steam, and it deserves praise for trying to be a mature, grounded story without stooping to cartoonish violence or otherwise emulating Puppet Combo. While those things have their place, this was going for a noire detective story, and that's what it told, via environments that weren't a series of empty rooms or thoughtlessly thrown-together prefabs. In a world where far too many indie games gain notoriety for being amusingly awful, The Final Pin deserves to be recognized for being an altogether solid experience, if a dull one. Again, I very much look forward to the creator's future endeavors, assuming they intend to continue down this path.
Honestly I agree with your criticisms. I dropped the game because of all the unnecessary stuff thrown in that had nothing to do with the story. I don't want to sound mean or anything because I don't think the game is bad at all but there were parts like you said that probably should have been cut out or removed that drug what otherwise was an interesting story down.
Honestly, I liked the little slow-burn tension-building passages that were there. It reminded me of Frictional Games's titles, which are built around this. The only boring part for me was the driving, but I appreciate the symbolism of a crow there. TBH, the trailer park puzzle was my favorite part of the game
I absolutely loved this game. I streamed it and it worked pretty well for a stream. It was much longer than I expected it to be and the story wraps up a little abruptly. But overall, really fantastic experience and enjoyed all the subtle and off-putting scary moments/ambience!

I was not sure what I was expecting when I installed this game, but this was definitely not it. I'm gonna be thinking about the fact that you managed to make me feel sad for 2 characters with less than an hour of screen time for a week. The bitter sweet ending explains so well what I think of it, I love it but I hate it.
There's a lot of stuff I could say about how amazingly done the atmosphere was and the style of it all, but you already know that.
NEVER stop creating, keep making stuff up and have fun in the meantime
I do not skimp when saying that it is one of the best projects I have tried in my entire life. Every aspect is damn good. This is totally an eminence in the world of horror games in general. My sincerest congratulations, Jordan. You have a magnificent talent, and this is reliable proof of it.
