Love this game, but I was almost done with the generals second combat training and after the last update that added longer spawn time for enemies, the last bit is so so slow

(2 edits) (+1)

Yeah, my biggest issue with horde was the delay going from enemy to enemy (with no way to reduce it like most games that have this feature), which has now been increased by 5x, making it worse.  :(    (And healing with actives is so much worse, now, because it takes forever to activate them.)

Use "Taunt mode" to make enemies spawn without delay. This will allow you to quickly heal if needed.

(3 edits)

Unfortunately, that only works for a few mobs.  Once you've defeated a boss, it doesn't do anything, and if you go too high, then you're stuck waiting for your own respawn timer, which is far longer.  (And you get no loot during taunt)

It's also frustrating how far back it feels like this update has pushed us.  I was ALMOST to being able to equip 9 items at once, and now I'm stuck at 4 with no possible upgrades to raise it any.  Right now, I feel like I can't equip anything worth using because the negatives on items are too strong and there's not enough slots to balance them anymore.  Whether it's from the loss of relics or the loss of heirlooms (since I lost both).  Whatever it is has made this section much more frustrating to play, and it was the part I actually enjoyed.

>(And you get no loot during taunt)

That's not true, you get bones at usual rate, only thing you are missing are monster parts. Plus if you reach boss during taunt - you will start getting monster part in-between "normal mobs".

You need to adjust to the new Horde mode, but it actually way better than old. Souls and trinket farm are nicer,  you can get monster parts while level rushing, equipment is more meaningful (lets be honest here - having to wear 9 items is kill whole idea of limited slots)

I do agree, it makes the whole thing way more strategical to be able to climb the last few zones before the prestige reset, trying each time to grab the farthest possible droppable equipment. You can now switch loadouts to change strategy between farming, climbing and boss fight, something that I was almost never doing before because I could just equip everything I wanted

(1 edit)

You must be looking at it only on a high level when you can't kill mobs fast enough.  You only get bones for the normally spawned ones.  The ones that spawn from taunt give nothing, and it clearly says this in the description for taunt.

I lost some relics when import my saveing into the new version.

(+3)

I seem to have lost all my general relics with this update.  Lost the torch, purple heart, and rotten leaf.

(-1)

why dont up list the changes in a update

(+10)(-2)

oh my god horde is worse in every possible way enemies now spawn slower which just makes it take longer to do

(+6)

new update screwed up my progress in horde

(1 edit) (+1)(-5)

The overhaul to Horde mode is brilliant and completely fixes everything that used to be annoying about it before. Fantastic work!

(+3)

Torch relic from general is lost after the update, how to restore it?

(+1)(-1)

new changes to Horde mode are great so far!

Weird glitch, i had millions of empowered souls,

me too, Did you also just get the purple heart?

(+5)

I am amazed at how this board has so many people complaining.

In this day and age of walkthroughs and videos explaining exactly how to do everything without any trial and error yourself, it is great to find a game that has so much to figure out for myself. Yeah, the events are annoying now, but I will figure them out in time.

Like it says in the description, this game is intended to be played for years and not just be a quick fix.

I haven't even dared to do a prestige yet as there are constantly new areas opening up.

Absolutely everything is explained in the notes. Anything that isn't explained there, you don't need to know yet. I am in awe of the amount of detail and attention that has gone into the explaining and detailing of every aspect of this game. For anyone who is asking questions in this chat, I would suggest that they reread their notes, carefully this time. They were put there for a reason.

Thank you SO much to Tendsty for this game. It is absolutely awesome and by far the best thing I have ever found on itch. It deserves more than 5 stars.

this is ridiculus i cant get ANYTHING from the stupid night event potion alcymey thing

(+1)

check what "magic" said, find ingredients,  try the combenation of ingredients to get the essence, use the coin to buy reward things

(+3)

i know how the event works just the odds are stupidly low

I meant to ask, the other day.  Does anyone know how to get Topaz?  I see that I can raise the capacity, but it doesn't do anything apparent, so I quickly reloaded before that saved.

(+4)

Topaz is an Event (Like the Night Hunt you see mentioned) specific gem. It's unlocked at the same time you unlock events.

Gathered the same as normal gems once unlocked, UNLESS there is a 'Large' Event (Like Night Hunt) active.

(+2)

Topaz is received on gem tick when no major events are running.

(+2)

Really love all the possibilities for super long-term growth in this game, and how much thought went into it.

Even though some mechanics are pretty unblanced at the moment (chiefly Night Hunt and School), and obviously lots of patching and content to come, it's quite refreshing to see the foresight the dev has had to have so many layers of content!

Village especially is showing to have months of play in front of me now.  Hoping all features will be the same and continue to intertwine.  Kudos!

(+3)

Might I suggest somewhere we can see buildings that have already been built in village?  Also a tooltip mouseover for the building icon when we minimize it to see what it is?

Mostly this is because we open up new blessings and/or red gem or school bonuses to add max cap on buildings but if its a building we've already capped out we no longer see them anymore to confirm if its something we wanna buy.

This is true for horde and mining skills as well.  Just someway to see minimally what that skill or building did or how many we've completed perhaps if it won't add clutter?

(+4)

Also, sometimes you complete a quest from general tab that you didn't even know you had, and all you get is the note referring to the next quest, but no way to see the completed quest at all (being able to hover over the check mark with a synopsis of the quest would be nice!)

how do i get resources for the night hunt

(+1)(-4)

Wait for the night. In some time zone :) At night, they will slowly begin to accumulate themselves.

Certainly would be useful to know in a tooltip, somewhere, what this time frame is.  Pretty big variety of time zones ppl play from and planning an event around only a certain time with already huge RNG seems kinda...

(-3)

Ha! Look, for example, in the "crystals" tab. 1 crystal per hour. Well, 2, if you've been playing the game for a very, very long time. At the same time, upgrades cost 100-300 crystals of the theme 1000-50000. 50k! This is about three years with an income of 2 crystals per hour :) The author clearly hints that this is a LONG game :) And are you surprised now that the income of the resource is irregular during the day? Seriously?! :) Yes, you can look in there once a week, more often there is no point. And in such conditions, the daily frequency does not play any role.

And this is if my observations about periodicity are generally correct. But I can be wrong or understand something wrong :)

(+1)

Well you're correct about regular features of the game.  The night hunt event we're talking about though is a limited time 2 week event.  Having resources generate only during the night time, which varies a bunch based on time zone, is much more important than features that are designed for months and years.

A. You're right, it was worth looking at the calendar further :) But, in any case, this event will happen again in a year! There is very little left :)

(1 edit) (+2)

That person is incorrect, the resources generate at all times of day. Whether or not it is night time means nothing.

(+1)

It slowly convert any other resources into "special one". If you mouse over converted resource - you will collect it.

So just mouse over all your resource icons every 5-10 minutes. Scrap\Aluminium\Copper in Mine, Gold\Stones\Fiber\Wood in Village, Bones\Parts\Souls in Horde, etc.

so is there any way to actually find these converted resources

The icon will be replaced with one of the event resources' icon.

so i have to keep hunting and looking thats kinda counter intuitive to a IDLE game

No, they won't go away. So you could leave game running and then collect a lot of them in short time because having a lot of Magic would convert other resources faster.

(+1)

It is an idle game. You idly gain resources, but you can't expect the entire game to be idle. There are always aspects of an idle game that you need to yourself. You can't expect an idle game to be 100% idle in every aspect. If it were, there would be no need to actually play it.

Opening the page, starting the game and becoming the most prolific player ever just by playing once every 24 hours for 5 minutes would make little sense.

there needs to be a comfirmation on genes because on mobile i can’t see the options

(1 edit)

whats the point of cleansing ritual for corrupted flesh

(+1)

corruption increases the strength of the enemies, reducing corruption weakens them back towards the baseline of enemies of that particular zone

so then is there a point in going past 100%?

Yes, because it could go past 100%

Is Potato water the same as Mystical water?

Still waiting to acquire my first in order to find out.  Reply here when you do

(+1)

Potato Water is a 'Fertilizer' item. Not able to see what it does, or how much you have, until you unlock the feature. Can still gather up some ahead of time though.

(+1)

Potato water and Mystical water are not the same thing. Potato water is tied to a later upgrade while Mystical is tied to the current event

(1 edit)

So mystical is required for mystifier and bundle on the event...how is it obtained?

Edit:  Oh wow, I've had mystical water all along and never noticed the label until I started using it as a bonus ingredient (bc it isnt used in any of my recipes and just stacks up).

(+1)

Mystical is a potion ingredient, the mystifier and bundle require topaz, a gem unlocked after unlocking the events, gained when an event is NOT going on at the same rate as other gems

(1 edit)

mystical is unlocked by an event upgrade using essence, gained overtime by discovered potions. Potion shelf upgrade specifically.

Awesome thanks for info.  Apparently essence gain is just so slow (or rng from what potions you acquire/ingredients you gain/magic generation), you can't tell what these upgrades need or do before event runs out.

I did unlock events while in the middle of night event so for 2 weeks I didn't know anything about topaz etc except for this chat.  Extremely confusing without some notes to say as much.  Appreciate

It would appear based on how strong the bonuses are with mystifier and bundle, that not having topaz to use on event (or generating in background?) is a pretty big disadvantage to expected speed of essence gain and ability to gain everything.  This would make my experience far less impactful than it should be if topaz is balanced into the speed of play.

(1 edit)

I can't click on the ? buttons for some reason?

EDIT: Realized those are just resources you don't have yet, nvm.

(1 edit) (+3)

Definitely need some kind of reduction on the tier nerf for event ritual success.  Even with 48% chance increase to success, I've done through like 50+ of resources without succeeding, because of the tier divider and the huge amount of essence required for upgrades.  Getting the next ingredient upgrade will take months at the current rate with how slow everything is, but the event lasts only two weeks.  Wouldn't be so bad if this didn't have a time limit, but there's seriously no way to get enough resources for rewards in this time limit with the bad RNG.

Yes, and the part that limits us the most even with all that RNG is how slowly magic generates.  We could deal with RNG if we didn't have to wait forever to gather ingredients (many of which get wasted bc it might not help your recipes).   The time limit of the event definitely makes the speed of magic and essence gain not work well together yet.

(+3)

The tutorial in this game should be the template for every overly complicated game in existence.  Everything makes perfect sense despite the seemingly overwhelming amount of things to take control of in a relatively short space of time.

Early days though, I'm only mining at level 18. Plenty of time for me to get annoyed.

Looking great so far, though.

gold coins for the farm are way to rare

how do i do the night event

(3 edits) (+2)

Over time, you will collect magic for the night event. This magic will be used slowly, to change the symbols in any of your other storages (mining, village, horde, farm, school, gems, prestige, golden sand). Mousing over the changed symbol turns it back to normal, and gives you INGREDIENTS.
These ingredients can be put in rituals to earn POTIONS.
It tells you how many potions are possible from that number of ingredients (tier 1: 1, tier 2: 4 etc) and wether or not you succeeded with each ingredient with a little sign that lights up saying "NEW", which means you havent tested this ingredient combo successfully. Order matters.
You can upgrade potions by making another with more of the same ingredient.
Potions are randomised per player.

(1 edit)

I wondered about the randomization, and figures a bit - but sucks because most of my potions all require the same 2 ingredients, while the "potion bottle" is used by none, so I'm just collecting that, forever, but won't be able to use any until long after the event ends.  (Getting to a 3rd slot is extraordinarily expensive.  1 Trillion vs my rate of 317/s)

If it helps, you don't have to get to the 3rd slot to make use of those "extra' ingredients.  You do need an upgrade though, which is obtainable before the event ends.

(+2)

Maybe adding a feature to auto buy upgrades to a certain level to make prestiges less annoying? I always find it hard to idle after a prestige because I have to buy my way up to a viable level.

(1 edit)

how does the garden gnome work, i have been farming flowers and grains for a long time but i can’t get potatoes till i get gold from the gnomes and i haven’t got any gold so far

Edit: I had to place him on the field

(+1)

Yep that one takes a good while to figure out.  Needs to be in a note or tooltip

the calcuations for achievements reducing gem time are not accurate

i have 53 which is 53%

ye it takes 39 minutes to get a gem

(1 edit)

It doesn't decrease the timer by that percentage, it increases the amount of gems you get in the same timeframe. So at 100% it's 30 min per gem, at 200% it's 20 min, etc.

no, the calculation you said is wrong.

the true calculation is increase the accumulation speed not decreasing upper limit of the time needed

example:
if you get 1 p/min, the gauge need 60p, then you need 60 min to complete once.
generation speed is multiple to the 1p/min.

with mean, you accumulate 1.53p/min, then you need around 39min 24sec to complete once

(1 edit)

the generation equation will be like this
max = 60
gauge speed = 1 * (generation speed + 100)%

time require = max / gauge speed

Clear explanations on how I'm supposed to obtain the event items that are used in rituals would be fantastic. As is, I've had events unlocked for a few days of real world time now and cannot figure out exactly how I've obtained the three items I've managed to obtain (Charred Skull, Maple Leaf and Lavender).

(+3)

The tooltip for the magic resource has that explanation.

(+1)

Thanks. I don't seem to recall the tooltip showing that information, or I was half asleep and didn't actually comprehend it at the time, it was actually your comment I found in here that told me how it actually works, so thanks for that as well! :)

(+2)(-4)

the fact ores vanish as you go deeper in the mine is just STUPID it makes every thing take longer for farming ore

acually they come back in certern floor when the remainder equal to 0, aluminium is floor%3=0, copper is floor%4=0, haven't reach tin dissappear floor yet but i guess is floor%5=0

that just over complicates things

(3 edits) (+6)

I wish the collapsed view for upgrades would still show their price without having to hover the buy button.

Also, tiny gripe: in Village, the job list order is Farmer - Harvester - Miner but the resource display order is Wood - Plant Fiber - Stone. Could they be switched slightly so that the order is consistent, so that the jobs are listed in the same order as their primary product?

>in Village, the job list order is Farmer - Harvester - Miner but the resource display order is Wood - Plant Fiber - Stone.

I hate this soooo much! It's constantly confuse me when I glance on what resource I'm missing and want to assign villagers.

(+9)

I wish I could have the tabs perma-listed on the left side, instead of needing to click the menu to click a tab to swap to...

why does a small house in the village only give 1 worker its no better than a hut

(+1)

No idea... best guess, it's a new source of workers, since you're close to capping hut at 25/25, I think?... and it uses different resources... I agree, it feels like it should give more, tho...

no just regular workers

practice in school should lead to automation in studying

(1 edit)

How do cards work after a prestige? I see that it takes the equipped card but does it delete one if you have one already selected? does it take it out of your card collection?

(+2)

It consumes one copy of the card, but you can only select cards you have multiple of. You can never consume your last copy of a card.

Great, thanks!

I'm still early on, but I was afk for a while and came back to a scrap amount well over my cap.

(+1)

Not a bug, intended feature.

(+1)

I think the tooltip explains... storage caps are just softcaps... you gain 25% of normal gains past softcap... still better to increase storage caps when you need to... to continue gaining at 100% speed...  and since you can't buy things that cost more than your storage cap, even if you have the resources for it...

Can someone explain me where monster parts at Z1 (yes, one) comes from? I've accumulated 1.25 in half a day...

Its probably from wealth heirloom?  Didn't know they could generate before z10, but that might be it

I've only power and fortitude ones.

need to be z10 or higher, then reach wave 100 and above
wave won't affect how many part will get but zone will
