So I own the entire game on Steam. Base games, all DLCs, everything. I ripped the game files from my Steam Deck and transfered them to my phone to see if it would run with Joiplay.
Yes the game runs as well as any Ren'py game on my phone but for some reason it says that I do not have the Derek, Baxter, and wedding DLCs even though the files are in the "game" folder. I tried copying the DLC files into the itch.io version but the same thing happens. Only the Steps 1-3 and voice DLCs are being detected by the game, the others are not. Is there any way to fix this?
I don't think so. We implemented those DLCs a different way for Android than we did with the original DLCs, and so if they didn't carry over that might be why. It needs to be installed directly through the Android version rather than being added in this other method. But we can't change how the DLCs work. The old method isn't an option anymore for the game's current version. I'm sorry.
Ive been trying to download this game for a couple days now on my android and every time I install it it takes forever for the loading screen to leave and when it does and I try to play the game, I try to click New file and it just crashes me out of the game. Has anyone else had similar issues and know how to fix this?
You can try to make it easier to run by turning off animations in the setting and by having more space on the device. But that's not guaranteed to make it work. Sometimes a phone just isn't able to run it, unfortunately.
this is genuinely the sweetest and most comforting game I've ever played. something about the atmosphere of it just swept me off my feet, and it feels so nostalgic to my own childhood.
the breathtaking art, adorable characters, customization options, and funny dialogue made me fall in love with this game. I suggest you play it too, because it's honestly changed my view of the world.
I just totally fell in love with this game. It's so cute and funny and even if I'm not english, it's easy to understand all (Well, if you ever need a french to translate your game, I'll do it in a heartbeat, I mean, I do it currently in a notepad to send with the link of the base game to my bestfriend, I know she will love it too but she's not good with english) Unless you had a translate game somewhere? :)
When I've finish the first round I just go "shut up and take my money."
And now I play a second round 'cause, hell, Cove is soooo cute ! Need to try it with all the Ddlc I can buy, next month I put my pocket-money in the last ones o/
If anyone is questioning whether or not to give this game a shot, do it.
This is one of the most well-crafted, emotional visual novels you'll ever see on the market. It's practically criminal that the base game is free, and every piece of DLC beyond that point is more than worth the price.
I'm serious - The characters, atmosphere, multiple-choice options, dialogue, music, and basically every other aspect of this game is phenomenal. The amount of content within will be enough to keep you preoccupied for at least 20+ hours for your first playthrough (At least that's how it went for me). And that's only accounting for the main love interest's route (Cove).
Go ahead and get the game, hell, buy all the DLC while you're at it. It's a magical experience, and I personally believe that anyone who enjoys romantic visual novels should never skip this piece.

This game is literally the most comforting game I've ever played, I've played it like 4 times in a row and it's a really warm atmosphere that makes me feel nostalgic?.. honestly can't express how much of a game I've been looking that's like this
Hello! I was wondering if you'd consider bundling the dlc's as like a complete one purchase, not even discounted necessarily, I just haven't bought it yet cause I don't want to do a separate purchase for all of them, but I can't just add it all in one cart

Ive played this game before and I decided to get the 3rd step and the wedding step (because its all i can afford at the moment 😭) and ive downloaded them and done what the dlc thing said, but everytime i go in and click new file or continue it closes the app.. is there any way i can fix this 😭
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what the issue could be based on the info you mentioned. All I can recommend is trying to delete your files and go through the install process for the game + DLC again. It's possible something just went wrong when adding the game and trying again will sort it out.

Oh, that pop up is a generic response when it doesn't work. There's no real specific bug it's talking about. It could mean the game can't install because it needs more space, or the game won't install because a virus scanner has decided it's not safe or your settings don't let you install stuff not from the official app store.
I do not have a virus scanner active due to downloading games like this in a similar manner, and it would make sense IF I didn't have over half of my storage space remaining 😭
this game hit me so hard. I doubt that I am the target demo, gay 52, but it still affects me to this day. I never realized (or had repressed) how much I wanted to have a love like Cove has for you. After the primary game ended, I felt physically and emotionally sick that it was over. I cried SO MUCH during this game. From Cove and also the lost little boy dredged up the grief of losing my son in 2021. I cried when I found out something about Cove that kind of explains why he is like he is. I got the wedding DLC and cried over that. I've replayed many times and each time it ends, it kills me. The wedding night is the last thing that the developer is doing with Cove and that really makes me sad. From looking at the subreddit for this game, there are many people who are affected by this game like this. Not trying to scare anyone off but be prepared to feel a LOT. If only we could all have a Cove in our lives.

This is such a wonderfully detailed game, I'm shocked it's even free! It was so cute and I love how tailored to the player experience it was! It's so darn adorable I was blushing like Cove was! And Cove!!! What a wonderfully written character, in fact all the characters are wonderfully written! I love how unique they are, and having the option for a slowburn childhood friends to lovers romance hit my sweet spot SO HARD! I SWEAR!
All in all, amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Important things should be said 3 times!!!
I'm not even kidding- I found this game yesterday and was hooked! I love the graphics, the story, the art, the CGs, the fact that our choices matter and pretty much everything about the game! I've already completed it and I would gladly play it all over again. I think it's really unique how Cove's personality can change a bit based off of how you interact with him, and how he even remembers small things like your favourite drink years after going to a restaurant. Keep up the good work! If I could, I would gladly buy every single DLC there is.
I got this game from steam and figured I'd show a little love to the itch.io version! Our life is one of my favorite games, it has great art, likeable characters, and a very entertaining story. I recommend getting the dlcs but it's not needed to enjoy the game! Our life was like the childhood I always wished to have, Cove is very loveable and I can't stop thinking of him. This game definitely made my summer better and I'm glad I found it!!
i absolutely love this game. i feel like a gremlin who found a treasure in the woods. its so good, the story is entertaining, the structure is very well thought and it hits like home. im on the floor crying i loved it so much. i feel like im robbing the creator by playing it for free but im not complaining, at this point the first thing im going to do when i get money on my card is buy as many dlcs as possible. ALSO 16 TO 24 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY?!?!?! THAT'S JUST AHDJKADFL. i love it and i will throw money at the creator just because they lightened up my summer with this game.
Hi, is anyone else having trouble starting the game? I downloaded the most recent version but it always freezes at the loading screen and then closes itself after a while. I'm using a MacBook. If anyone can help pls do, really want to start replaying this wholesome game again.
I'm sorry, you could try checking if a virus scanner has decided it's suspicious because it's not an apple approved app. That can randomly happen with new builds and can stop it from running right.
I have put more hours into this game than I have most other games I have played. I've got nearly 100 hours in this games, and I will be sure to have more in the future. This is one of the greatest games I have ever played. I CAN'T WAIT for the sequel!

Pressing Shift + G and change the renderer. Changing it to ANGLE renderer.

Then how the DLCs are being downloaded might be causing the problem. What order are you doing them in?

i played this game for 30 hours straight literally. so so so good the art and story are unmatched across this entire team!

Finished the game and feel like a piece of my heart is missing now.. SUCH a good game, such a wonderful character Cove is.
I am now inlove with an imaginary green-haired cutie and now sad its done :(
