Skins will no longer be available
When I offered the skins on Patreon every month, it was a way for me to reward all the people who contributed to the development of the game beyond just buying the game. Everybody was happy, and it brought a little bit of novelty every month.
Then I wanted to offer them on Itch.io maybe some people wanted to get them too without having to go through Patreon or help the development of the game further. There was never any obligation to buy, the skins don't bring any advantage, it's purely aesthetic.
Since then, I've been getting criticism that I'm only doing this for the money, that what I'm doing is a shame. It was absolutely not my intention, and it never was.
So now I prefer to remove these skins, because they only bring me messages of contempt and criticism that I can't stand anymore.
I would think of another way to do it. Be well and see you soon for the release of version 0.7

You did nothing wrong. It was meant as a special extra for patrons that supported development, that you made available for others when you had no obligation to. Should've ignored the people being whiny babies

I'm happy this was posted on April first and you are not actually serious.
Since RNG is french, you should take into account that is was posted on the 2nd. You can also see for yourself if the skins are still up for purchase.
as far as im concerned, the content you've given us is worth far more than the $10 we paid to play it. You deserve to have other ways of monitoring the game to support your work. Don't listen to the idiots who complaint.

Damn some people have too much time. Imagine complaining to someone who is working their ass off on a game and being upset that they want to be compensated for their hard work. People are so shitty sometimes.
It sucks the the haters got to you, but you should make the game you want. If haters are gonna hate on optional content because it isn't automatically included in the free download, fuck it. Bitches will bitch
Personally, I never bought any of the skins. I wasn't a fan of missing out on them, since they did look nice, but it's a simple concept of me not wanting to spend extra money.
That being said, I completely understand why you were doing it. What I don't understand is why people were upset about them. It could be said that releasing exclusive content before the game is completed seems like it's a money-grab, but clearly it's not. You are providing us with continuous updates, you clearly listen to the community, and the skins did not change the game mechanics or story at all.
It's obvious that the skins were a way to raise funds to keep developing the game. The fans who want to support you and could afford doing so would get rewarded for it. The people who couldn't afford it wouldn't get anything. It's as simple as that. Some people are either just entitled or sensitive and can't comprehend the concept of investing into something and getting rewarded.
Please don't take this matter to heart RNGeusEX. We love you and the game!

All the snow flakes need to shut it. You either support his game or you don't. Simple. You buy DLC's for a game and weapon skins and characters for godly amounts of Cod points or VBucks.
Simple as that, you either support him to get the reward or you don't. No need to criticize.
They aren't "snowflakes". That is such a stupid comparison those are FINISHED games that people purchase that stuff from. You're being unfair by using an extreme example as well which pretty much destroys your argument from the get-go. A very natural and fair reaction for people to have now is contempt for such a practice. DLC for something FAR from finished will always be seen in a negative light as it comes off as wasting time on something with no value to them rather than focusing on finishing the game and/or for avaricious reasons regardless of whether the developers intentions are malicious or not, doubt and suspicion are always the strongest feelings.
The mistake was simply releasing it as DLC. Leaving it solely for patrons who already support the development and there's zero backlash as long as progress is mentioned in posts regularly enough and the project does not appear to have gone stagnant. I know this case is far from something like Star Citizen bs but it's things like that, that sow the seeds of doubt on anything that could be entirely genuine positive intentions.

Wether it's a finished game or not, the whole point of people getting the skins is to support him. It doesn't have to be a finished product for him to release skins. It's really simple, he released the skins as a DLC, those who want it will get it and those who is don't won't get it. I don't get what the fuss is and why people are complaining. Bottom line is, you either support the devs or you don't, regardless of it being a DLC.

The comparison doesn't fail because while those are finished games they also cost money to buy in the first place. This is a completely free game unless you choose to support. Its not like it doesn't get updated regularly either. I'd have doubts if there had been no updates and they're just constantly making more dlc to get money for a game they likely will never finish. People complaining just want to have their cake and eat it too. You can't expect everything to be free in a game you're already not paying for, these people have to be compensated for their work and make a living too. Not everyone who wants to support can afford to pay monthly on patreon.

My bad I follow a lot of games on here that are indeed free (but get the newer updates later than patreon). The point stands that we're comparing a game that is 10$ to triple A titles usually priced 6-to 7x more than that, have entire studios, and more total sales from a much wider audience. These types of games are usually made by a small group of people, or even one man, that might have to hire other people to help. 10$ is pretty damn cheap by today's standards.
6 to 7 time the price, but several 100,000 times the production cost. Not to mention that a significant number of AAA games are sold in the 20-30$ range.
If you want to play the numbers game, fine. It makes the criticism even more valid when you take the price into account.

On Android you need to extract the .zip, and place all of the .extra files within the
Android/data/com.rngeusex.goodbyeeternity/files/gamefolder. This folder may not exist by default, so you may have to create it.thanks bro
At the end of the day, whenever you are doing it for the money or not, skins are a good way to support the making of the game. You need money to live, and having a game that makes no profit is not worth it. After all, you spend time, energy and ressources for it to come alive! Skins are a marvelous way to get some extra money, while not taking too much time, nor ressources. It helps push the game foward, make people happy and give you more ressources/economic security. Personnally, I got the game, didnt need skins and still had a good time. Anyways, keep up the good work! Thank you for keeping the game updated! :)
Thing is he's hired VA's and a new artist if I recall and I don't know if he has others helping them.
Depending on the costs and number of workers they have brought in$10K isn't much.
If anyone watches Easy Allies when they started they straight up said they needed about $30K a month to semi-live comfortably and get even partially back to how they were under Gametrailers and Spike TV
it's in one of these Itch posts that the sex scenes are being revamped with proper moaning. So not full voice work but even that isn't super cheap if you don't do copy paste generic free samples. Think he also touched on the art in the same post.

That sucks, some people are just terrible, especially when they feel entitled to just endlessly criticize something they personally don't like just because the don't like it.
