The original title by Agatha Christie as you mentioned has been changed irl to be "And Then There Were None" and the poem within that story which originally shared the title's name was changed to Ten Little Indians for some of its film and TV adaptations

You should just replace the old version with the new one, you could delete old folder freely.
Games based on RenPy engine store its save files in the system folder, like AppData/Roaming, so you can't accidentally lose saves even if you'll erase the game. Saves will be found automatically.
At the part of going into the police station to find information about the detective, meet the officer in the hallway and get caught, it's a Cerrick in jail scene.

It's pretty bad... tons of grammatical errors and stilted unnatural sounding English. I would be willing to correct your English version for you myself if you want.
I wrote down several corrections and re-writes of the English version's intro section and submitted to the Bug reports section of your discord, take a look and let me know if you would like me to do more. This game would vastly benefit from someone who knows how to write in English.

I'm pleasantly surprised how well this follows the show, even with all the cameos from other works (Witcher 1 is my fav so it's nice to see dice poker again, though I have no clue where the prostitutes are from). I'm disappointed that beating the portal fight is inconsequential, and that we had no choice who to use the potion on, but otherwise it was pretty solid.

How to you move forward after unlocking scene 170? I see that there are other scenes available to unlock but I don't have any prompt for the next quest.
once you have paid 10$ for the full version, any time a new full version comes out at the same price it should be in your itch account library. don't pay each time....

You don't, that's the end for now. The last scenes are alternates if you've been rough with Will.
...so by the time we're at version one we'll have paid for the game several times over... not the way other gamers work. Kinda sucks.
