It doesn't save my progress since the update. Saved last night before turning my pc off, but no option to continue today and I had to turn the music off again. Never had trouble with it before. Disappointing, but hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
That's understandable, but there is no download on Steam yet, so not sure how that would help me save. I think I'll take a break from the game after this last update though. It feels like way more of a struggle now, and less fun as a result. It could very well just be RNG, but I if it is, I'm having terrible luck today. Feels like I'm underequipped every attempt, regardless of loadout. Do the enemies do more damage now? I used to be able to dance my way to floor 10, with plenty of variety in equipment available, but now it's a trudge full of wooden swords. A happy medium would be nice. Still a solid game though, just not sure I'd have played as much if it had been this hard the first time I played.
press the m key from the start screen. a while ago i commented "am i the only person who thinks there should be a way to skip the tutorial? if so, there should be a way to skip the tutorial. or maybe export a save file. every time i reload i have to go through the tutorial ;-;" (note: this was literally a month ago) and Thejaspel replied "Press M on the main screen!" so yeah. also before you ask, yes it still works. i just checked. also Thejaspel's reply before mine didn't load for me lol
Strange bug, try to open the door on the left found no key click to leave, directly to the right of the door I teleported inside, now out can not get out, directly dead file, this is the second time
Any effects applied to duct tape apply to adjacent items. So if your duct tape is getting +4 damage from an adjacent gem, it gives +4 damage to any weapons the duct tape is next to.

The game ran fine for me before (unless you count lag when getting far enough in Endless mode). Now? When I try to play, the game freezes right away and I get the following:

maybe the level up bug, but also, when you move onto the next floor (which is not a boss floor/final floor), the game doesn't save your progress, which I lost 2 king cleavers and 1 duct tape because of, so yeah, I have to manually save and check that I can see the "game saved" rectangle before I quit/exit and close the game.
Back to see the updates, it seems there is a bug with leveling now. My last two level ups said 0 spaces. I'm pretty sure this is less spaces than I ever had before even.
I love backpack hero, but something ain't right. I don't know what lvl I am but suddenly I can't add spaces to my backpack. I'm missing looks like 6 spaces. I remember before the update I could max out my pack.
I beat this game! I won with like 8 Keys. Why did I have so much keys? Because I had a Key Sword. However, I lost all my progress because it had an update so- (I also forgot to screenshot.)
this is the setup i used to beat the game you sheild 3 times then use all the shivs and it just gets stronger and stronger the hatchets are there because i had room if i can get anything better there i will any suggestions
Now there's a golden rose that buffs from simpler ones, I guess you can add it. And also consider changing chest plate to another, you do not utilize it's buff to weapons anyway
New run immediately after the last one. Got this. I can just spam my shields and don't care about my damage, because the Dovan will go-up each turn, and my enemies' damage will go down 3 times per click. And if I need more damage, I can use the whetstone to give a plus 3.
I literally killed the boss just spamming the shields XD.

The save games were lost because I uploaded a new update. Sorry! That's just how Itch works. It loses data each time :/

does the new update remove Matthew?
It did not, but I'm not 100% sure how to access him. Have done so accidentally.
You can press M at the main menu. Also you unlock him after losing once.

It turned from a mana bow build to a mage build instantly.

How do the duct tapes work?
That might be why I can't get past floor 15.

The button is just on the title screen, and this is obviously just the demo, so shouldn't you be able to ignore it?

anyone else experiencing a pink rectangle in the middle of their screen for 5 - 10secs when they start a run from matthew or just click continue game?
no but i had an overpowered setuo and this run took it from i was able to chain the same cleaver 20 times per energy
no but for me it just freezes for about 5 seconds.
i reload page to update my game and my floor 400 run goes away with a 23k first use and double the second cleaver/sheild chain setup

ayy man im just trying the new update but its a great game you should add some extra unique weapons and item but keep it up its great
Fabulous game. I think the cleansing wand is bugged; it didn't seem to remove any status on enemies.
Not a huge fan of this update, though I do love how some NPCs stick around instead of going away permanently

the pickaxe is so stupidly overpowered

it adds luck when you kill non summon enemies with it.
