I just downloaded this from the itchio bundle and the game is chugging to an insane degree. I have a really powerful computer so I'm really confused about this.

First time I hear that! Is it better in windowed mode? Have you tried with vsync on or off in the settings?

I figured out the problem: having the vr headset attached was slowing the game to a crawl.

Oooooh interesting! Thanks for sharing the solution!

I just started playing and this is a ton of fun!! i thought i was terrible at platformers but this is the right balance of being challenging but not frustrating. The art is so beautiful and it sets the atmosphere so nicely!

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

Looks like a banger!

Thank you! Give it a try!

Hi,
I am playing Run on a switch.
How to switch to speedrun mode ?

Hello ! To unlock the speedrun mode you need to finish the game at least once! It will unlock the speedrun mode as well as the infinite mode!

Thanks !

Really nice ! Reminds me of a Celeste lvl mechanic, and it's really cool !

Thank you!

This game is great, can't wait for the full release
As a Celeste player, i just loved how you implemented the dash and the extended ultra in your game. And the movement was amazing too

Goodluck in the future :)

<3 thank you !

I played the Run Alpha as part of the itch io vault! This game is going to be great when it's complete I'm sure:

Oh maaaaaan no! T_T I watched the video, you didn't notice that you played 3 differents levels! The fact is it's generated from several pieces (chunk?) of level and each time you win add a new harder pieces of level in the pool for generating the next level. So you encounter several time some pieces but it was always a new level! Sorry if it seemed not clear to you. If you replayed the demo, in 8 runs you would see the evolution really quick, and the last chunks of level are really challenging compared to the the starting chunks. We tried to enhanced this part of the game in the full game as it can be tedious for good players, but we want beginner to feel at ease at the beginning. Maybe try the new demo we did for the Steam next Fest, and aim to finish it, you'll see what I explained.
Anyway, thanks for featuring our game :) and good job for master the PowerJump that fast!

Hello.

Merci :)

Excellent game!! It's a simple purpose, but is very addictive!!

I really like the demo, the game feels, the music, and especially the pixel art are on point.

I like the onboarding and how it teaches the player how to play but maybe adding some indication on which button should be press will be a great addition and would avoid the player searching for the good button or combination of buttons to press.  but maybe it's not needed and is part of the self-learning process.

After my first run, I was a bit lost on what to do, since there were no gems in the first level, but after some runs, I understand and start to try to beat the level getting the maximum of gems. I really like how the game difficulty is evolving and the level design is procedural and the fact that the player need to learn and understand the different chunk of it, the learning process is really satisfying.

overall it's a really good demo and I'm really hyped by the game. I think in the final version if the game helps a bit more the player to comprehend how everything works, it will be an amazing game.

keep the good work!

Huge thank you for this review, we really appreciate having feedback!

Left an unhonest review when I was tilted. The game is absolutely amazing with no real issues. Just wish the lore was expanded on more

Haha it seems that you were too salty! Glad you've finally enjoyed it!

not sure we played the same game. I didn't have any issues

Hi! thank you for your feedback.  At least you're the first one to report that. Two questions : Are you playing on a keyboard or with a controller?   Do you have a record or something?

Fantastic job with the game as a whole, and the soundtrack is so good. I made a brief Game Digest video on it on my YouTube. Not my best work. I genuinely have no critiques. I look forward to the full release.

Would also like to inquire about potentially using the Soundtrack as my background stream music.

Oh thank you for your feedback ! Concerning the soundtrack please don't use it until any official" publication on Soundcloud or Spotify. But  feel free to follow Thomas Barrandon on these plateforms.

I think there should be a code for each randomly generated level in case someone wants to replay a certain pattern they liked.

Unfortunately, this idea is against our concept of "fast learning", but thank you for your suggestion!

I don't know what hurts you guys, but really great game

Huge thank you!

Hi there Cheese Ghoul!  It seems that you had some issues with the dash jump, we hope that it didn't bother you that much to enjoy the demo.  And thank you for your review!

Hiii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^

-The concept of the game is really good :)

-The gameplay mechanics feel pretty fun and solid.

-The movement of the character feels really smooth.

-The visual style is pretty awesome and eyecatching.

Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)

Regards

Oh, thank you for this feedback and for your video!

you are welcome ^^

Conclusion : Allez-y, donner tout.
