I really like the idea and the work behind this game

please help, for the last challenge in the demo, it doesnt tell me how to use pickaxes, and i cant use ropes either

Windows defender flagging the exe file, still safe or no?

thats just what windows does for "unknown" exes. its perfectly fine

Super fun, excited to see what's next. it Manages to capture the feel of death grip of outdoor climbing perfectly! for Good and bad, as my mouse fingers are sore now.

One suggestion is that I'd like to use the door as a door or be able to open it at least. You could send us to the guide book screen or something.  But not being able to access it makes me feel like I'm in prison or trapped! Hahahah!

This game lives rent free in my head. I was so excited to see updates resume this year :)

played this demo a long time ago, still waiting for more news on it, for some reason rock climbing games really scratch an itch

Love the look of this game, but I can't play it because it's constantly looking up into the top left corner of the screen. Excited to see if mouse centering gets fixed, could be my system though. No worries, cool stuff!

Apparently may be an issue with having a joypad connecting, I'm troubleshooting on my end because I'm excited to try this out :)

And final post here...

HOLY CRAP THIS GAME IS FUN!

I'm really impressed how nice this feels, managing your gear up the higher peak is really interesting and fighting off gulls added some much needed pacing and obstacles to what would otherwise be a one or two note game. The downward demo on that peak is also a good touch, proof that there are lots of ways to add interesting peaks with these mechanics. Love to see what else this could turn into and your other games.

I rock climb IRL and it's pretty different from this these days, but who cares about reality this feels like it's own thing and is pretty sweet. There's absolutely no way that you could put in all the intricacies and manage like 4 points of contact and all that, so that's no issue at all. Using the old gear and the hard falls onto static ropes soloing would hurt so much with each fall lol.

(Disconnecting all controllers did fix look issues if anybody else is having trouble!)

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it and got it working!

Got to play the demo too and it's been refreshing, and challenging, those pigeons are vicious, but at the end, all peaks will be conquered. Keep up the awesome dev work!

i love it so mutch

Great demo, I am keen to see the full version.

Sadly i think you kinda killed it with the last climb...birds! Don't get that at all, they do nothing but cause frustration and kill the experience in my mind. No real need for them. Either get rid of them or maybe give some tips on how to get past them if not.

View can be a little difficult to deal with at times but other than that everything seems well made and works well.

Side note, possible glitch with left hand not holding properly (windows version), i constantly fall due to it letting go for no reason. Never happens with the right hand so it makes me wonder if it's a bug, just seems odd so i thought i would mention it.

Nice job, good luck with future development.

personally, i enjoyed the final climb. the birds made you think about your actions. you seem to have taken a "i shall climb and touch the birds" approach, but i found that having the birds be in the way forces you to jump over them and use the rope in order to not fall

How do I clear the archive?

loved it! great idea and beautiful visuals <3

i absolutely love this. its genuinly so much fun. i havnt actually gotten past the last one though because of those seagulls that make me wanna kill myself. but thats a good thing (actually) and i love how it feels and how smooth everything is. this really has all the potential for lots of popularity and man i really wanna play the full release. i would totally pay for it. and the collectables are great aswell! it would be great to see different paths to complete each level just like the third one in this demo. im ranting because this is really fun and just wanna give a bit of praise.

i love it. i am a big fan of the VR game "climb" and this reminds me of it. I really like it because its basically a really cool version of climb that i dont need to setup Oculus Link for lol. anyways, very original idea and its very well executed. i love it and cant wait to see the finished product!!!!

Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it.

also, i really love the physics, it may not seem like much to my friend but i am all about physics and this has some really cool physics to play around with. i think you should take your time with the game, i want it to be the best it could be!

You managed to take what would be an annoying waste of time in most other games (getting past a vertical barrier preventing progress) and turn into an awesome game, that's crazy impressive.  Climbing feels amazingly good, there's just enough looseness in the physics that you can slingshot yourself like an living Stretch Armstrong toy once you get a feel for it, the seagulls are realistically depicted as the petty, sadistic little winged demons they truly are,  and the wacky hand physics are the icing on the cake.

My hands actually sweat quite a bit when I got into the groove of climbing,  especially on the final peak. Apparently my brain didn't know or care by that point that the wall was virtual, that it could interpret color signals from my eyeballs, or that its host body is anything but that of a posh 19th century gentleman with superhuman endurance.

I can't wait to play the full version whenever it's finished, however long it may be until then since you can't rush perfection.

Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it! Expecting to release sometime later this year.

I made an account just so I could leave a comment about this game.

The concept has so much promise and I can't wait to see how the development continues from here. The only issue I had with the game was with how short it was, but that was completely expected with a brand new game like this. I love the aesthetic of everything and can't wait to buy the full release when it eventually comes out. I don't care how long I have to wait, and as long as time is taken to finish it, that wait will be very worth it.

Thanks, that means a lot, I am glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully will release later this year.

This game is great. Amazing concept, amazing execution. I didn't encounter any bugs on my first walkthrough, but i did develop some hate for the seagulls. But it's fun to learn how to counter them and where to put ropes.  8/10, would absolutely buy/download the full version, wich comes to my question, wil the game be free when fully released?

Thank you! The final game will be a paid version. I'm not sure on the release date yet, but will hopefully be this year.
