This game is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

I played this game back in like 2017 or 2018, and I absolutely fell in love with it. But I also was fairly immature at that time, so a lot of the messages and themes the game portrayed were lost on me.

I came back to the game recently after 2020 threw my family and I through a spin. Not going too far into it, my home life is pretty shitty, but more importantly I went through an identity crisis. I wasn't quite sure who I was anymore, or if I truly liked myself.

Butterfly Soup helped me come to terms with myself. It would be a stretch to say that it was the sole reason of how I accepted my identity, but it helped immensely. 

I can now be proud to say that I am a trans lesbian. And that I no longer hate myself. 

To Brianna Lei, thank you for everything.

The plot was amazing, I am in love with all the characters, I love the story! There were lots of parts in each story I laughed at.  I love this game! It has diversity, LGBTQ+ representation, Humor, Development, Perspective.. The art was amazing as well!

I love this game and I can't wait see more games from you :))

 I just finished playing that game and i just wanna say i totally love it.

I love the artstyle and the storyline very much not to mention that u had from every person from the friend group a perspective from things and from their past i totally recommend it 10 out of 10 :))

i made an acc just to say how much i love this. as a part of an asian family, this felt honestly realistic. this is literally one of the best i've played.

I think this is the best visual novel I have played, and not just because its gay.I loved the baseball team, their friendships, the memes, all of it. Made me cry at the end ಥ_ಥ

I played this in like September of 2019 with my friend, and it was amazing!  I'm going yo re-play it again.

This is truly one of the best games ever made. The writing is some of the best ever. The comedic writing probably IS the best ever. The characters, the pacing, it's all amazingly well done. If you haven't played this you just should stop whatever you're playing and play it now. It's incredible.

This game has been living in my head rent-free ever since I played it a couple months ago. It's just so charming, delightful, and relatable as heck, being a Chinese adoptee and gay. While I grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood, most of my friends were Asian, so this reminded me of my friend group in some ways that are really nostalgic too. I can't sing my praises enough and how much Butterfly Soup means to me -- thank you for making this beautiful gem!

This game inspired me to really improve my art/music/writing skills.  For that I'll always be grateful! 

I downloaded this a few months ago, and now I'm back to play it again lol. This is such a great game, and it made me laugh a lot. like,  A LOT. I love all the characters and the story is really fun :) 

This is a must play, it is funny, happy and very well done. It is the highest ranked game on itch for a reason. I personally never play visual novels and don’t like them, with the exception of butterfly soup, it is so good that you don’t even need to like the game genre to like the game.

i was honestly not expecting to get THIS attached to the characters but i am- i seriously havent laughed this much while playing a game in a while, its legit awesome and the characters are just so lovable KSJFKJ  im looking forward to butterfly soup 2!!

Very well written game. The characters are awesome and also extremely well written, and i love the way all the characters bounce of each other.  This is one of the best LGBT visual novels i have ever played.  It also made baseball sound fun , and i hate all sport. 

Brianna , you deserve all the praise you get and more.  Will definitely play the sequel , if its paid or free. I am that invested.

Also I am desperately in my ace attorney phase rn and having the option to name the caterpillar Miles "Tails" Edgeworth is truly a sight to behold 

I am now finished and even more sad and gay than when i first started /j. this was the best like seriously I loved it!! To anyone reading this who hasn't played the game. You should. I know this comment is just me rambling but it's so good.
